This summer, I experienced an hvac issue from hell. The first hot day of the summer, my 2 year old ac quit working. It completely froze over and quit pumping cold air. The company that installed it came out and replaced my txv. Turned on the system, same problem. They came out again, replaced the txv one more time along with the coil, same problem. At this point the installing company has no idea what was wrong. A rep from the ac manufacturer came out, also couldn't pinpoint the problem and authorized a complete replacement of the unit. 5 weeks after it went out (and 5 weeks of record breaking heat this summer), I get an entire system replaced. Turn the new system on, same problem. At this point, the company that sold and installed the system to me and had been doing the repairs said they weren't helping any more. Called another company, replaced the motor on my furnace. Same problem. He says the only thing I can do now is rip out both systems and start again (furnace and my 4 day old ac). An old friend suggested I call David at Steady Air- I called him and the first thing he says is "I'm headed to your house." When he gets here 20 minutes later, he climbs up in my attic, comes back down and says he solved the problem. There were flaps on my coil seriously preventing airflow, and he adjusted them and freed up the airflow my system needed to function. He then said "no charge, you've been through enough and I just want your family to have AC again." He left, and my system pumped cold air out of the vents stronger then it's ever worked before and never froze up. I will forever be grateful for David's help and knowledge. I spent thousands and waited on other companies to fit me in for 6 weeks. David came after hours and fixed my problem in a few minutes. If you want run of the mill service that may or may not fix your problems, google "Puyallup Hvac company" and pick the top two choices. If you want someone extremely knowledgeable, honest, and cares about leaving people with no ac or heat, call Steady Air. read more
