I was looking for an optometrist that accepts my new insurance in my neighborhood and found the highly rated Station Square Eyes which I've passed by so many times on my way home. My eye exam was thorough and the eye glass and contact selection is ample with good pricing. I bought my first pair of reading glasses. When I mentioned about a missing screw on an old pair of glasses purchased elsewhere, the manager said to bring them in when I pick up my new reading glasses. From the service to the selection and even going out of their way to help when it's not even required (i.e., the glasses I wore into the store were crooked and my sales person adjusted them using a professional heating machine to whip them into wearable shape). They have a wide variety of designer frames and styles. The one that caught my eye were the moscot frames, not only that it is a new york city brand its one of my new favorites. I was able to get an eye exam and choose the transition lens at a reasonable price thanks to my insurance. It also gave me good discount on the frames and that was another plus. I have used a pair of glasses for over 30 years and have gone to multiple stores to get my eye wear done . This place is the worst , dishonest business . The store tells you that, once you purchase a pair of frames with them, if anything "anything" happens to the lens or the frames that the store will replace them as long it's within the year warranty . They are a hornless store . They told me that after sending frames to the manufacturer they will determine if the frames are replaceable or not . Because the store won't make any money and they will take a lose they told me NO ; manufacture will not replace but the store will give me 30% discount.. I feel cheated / lied /or taken like a fool. This is the 4- pair of frames that I have a problem . Don't go here !! Very disappointing .. I don't know how they are still in business!!!! read more

Great service at this optometrist. Nice quality (some high end) frames. No problems with lenses but it takes 2 to 3 weeks for progressive lenses in fancier frames. While they take insurance still pricey but then I ordered fancy frames with fancy lenses. read more

I got a pair of reading glasses end of 2019 at station square eyes at Forest Hills. I was then helped by a very professional and knowledgeable salesperson. Since then, I decided to go back if I ever need another pairs. Today, I went there to fix the frames of my extra pair which I bought somewhere else. Came across this place on yelp as I was researching some good eyeglass stores around my house. Was a little skeptical at first because naturally, that's the kind of person I am when it comes to new places. However, turns out this place deserves all the good praise it gets. I was immediately helped out by Geeni when I walked in. There were other patrons in the store being assisted by her; so to be greeted and accommodated with such enthusiasm really surprised me. She was very patient in helping me try out the different frames. Geeni even took the time to look up the insurance database to see if I had coverage. I ran out of contacts and needed a new ones STAT! So we Yelped and and found Station Square Eyes and Costco. The optometrist at Costco couldn't give me a quote for contact lens exam with my insurance, so Station Square Eyes was our choice. Station Square Eyes gave us excellent service, a very comprehensive eye exam and a great selection of fashionable eye wear. When we arrived, we were greeted by the extremely friendly staff! They joked with us and made me feel completely at ease while I was waking up that Saturday morning. They completed the initial tests before I saw the optometrist, which took approximately 10 minutes. Then, Dr. Elzie Chan examined my eyes. She was great with answering all my questions about my old contacts (Biomedics 55) and the trial contact lenses. She gave me information about my vision, the changes, and what she was prescribing. I appreciated that she told me how new lenses have better tech and allow more oxygen in your eye. We also had a good chat about the recommendations for laser eye surgery and the best age to get that procedure done. My hubby's exam was very time efficient. I also really appreciated that she included me about my husband's eye exam and all the exam findings. She helped catch something that would be normally missed on a routine eye exam! Afterwards, we paid for the glasses and contacts exam and picked out glasses for K. Great selection of flattering eye glasses. We came back in two weeks to pick up the new pair. No complaints. The first time I went in, I was told that there was no doctor on the premises but that I could make an appointment, which I was happy to do. Every single person I dealt with was pleasant and seemed happy to be there (that is huge for any job). From the beginning, booking an appointment was easy & hassle free but I wasn't 100% sold on the customer service the person on the phone had. As crazy as it sounds, my glasses got ran over by a car and was completely crushed. I haven't had an eye exam in years and I don't have my glasses prescription. After browsing for several opticians in the area, I ended up contacting Station Square Eyes. They offered affordable eye exam for prescription glasses at $55 (I think it's around $115 for contact lens, incl 2-3 lens fitting and trial). The store took COVID precaution very seriously. They check the temperature of everyone who walks in, marks the floor for 6ft distance, sanitize every glasses, staffs wear mask, there's barrier on all the counters. I was helped by Max, who was very friendly and gave me good advice when I was picking my frames. He also gave me a lot of discount (thank you!). The glasses were finished in just 4days (much faster than expected). The lady who helped me when I picked up my glasses was very kind! She adjusted it until I'm super sure it's comfortable. Came here based on the excellent reviews. I needed a new pair of glasses as well as contacts. To me this store is kind of small; not sure why I imagined it to be a huge place based on reviews. Maybe because people said there was a large variety? Personally, I felt they had an okay variety/selection of glasses but I'm not complaining because I found a unique pair of frames that I fell in love with. What I liked is when I called them, they looked up my insurance and told me specifically how much my insurance would cover. I had called another eye place earlier and they wouldn't look it up for me; literally told me "go look it up yourself". Although this place is still a bit pricey (I paid ~$320 for frames + lens with my sucky insurance included and I have a bad prescription, frames might have cost around ~$240?) they do treat their customers well. I made an appointment (maybe 10 minute wait tops once I arrived) to see the eye doctor since I needed to do my contacts fitting again and she did my glasses prescription as well (even though I already had it from another place) since it was included. The doctor (I don't remember her name - young and maybe Filipina?) was extremely patient with me and answered all my questions. She even let me compare the prescription I got from the other place to see how it was and it was almost the same. I've always had Acuvue Oasys and she let me try both Acuvue and Avaira (same price) since Avaira was the only one they had in stock at the moment but they ordered the Acuvue trial pair which arrived in a few days. This was also my first time trying on toric contact lens (for astigmatism). I've never had toric lens before (always put it off because it was more expensive and I felt like I didn't need it) and told her I preferred regular ones so she allowed me to try and compare both. Obviously my vision was better with the toric so I decided to get the toric lens (slightly more expensive) but wasn't pressured to. Even when it came to picking out frames, I am super picky and the lady that helped me was very patient, allowing me to try on whatever pairs I wanted and answering all my questions. I never felt rushed or pressured in any way and that is very important to me. She broke down the cost of the glasses for me too, with the coating and lens thickness, etc. I was told my glasses would be ready in 2-3 weeks but I think they were actually ready in 1.5 weeks. Placed my order for the contacts when I picked up the glasses and was told they should be ready in a few days. No complaints about this place! I know I could probably order glasses online for cheaper but I like being able to physically see and try out the glasses prior to purchasing them. P.S. Parking is ridiculously hard to find here so I would recommend you take the train or have somebody drop you off. I had my boyfriend drop me off. read more

I've been coming here for yeeears! Could've sworn I'd left a review. Anywho, the staff here are wonderful! Always welcoming, friendly and patient (very, VERRRRRYYYYYY patient) with folks like me who are indecisive when it comes to selecting frames. In terms of customer service, Station Square is one of Noo Yawk's best! Geeni is a genius at helping you select frames for your face shape and age. What I mean by that is I'm of a certain age (48 as of this writing) and Geeni recommended that I get a cat eye to draw the face upward. I'm very happy with my new cat eye frames. :) During the years that I've come here, I've tried a couple of other eye doctors. That was a big waste of time and money because I'd always end up back at Station Square for a 2nd opinion exam and results I can trust. The doctors at Station Square don't rush you through your exam. They take the time to give you detailed answers to any questions you may have and to make sure you understand. Most important, they take the time to make sure your results are accurate! read more

I am one of those folks that hate going to the doctor, dentist, optometrist... basically anything to ensure your health, I don't follow through. I am impatient when it comes to waiting, testing and shopping for glasses but since it's been 2 years I figure i'll go in and give it a whirl. First off, I am an awkward individual and dislike to socialize but from the receptionist to Dr. Chan, to the helpful staff to basically make it fun to pick out glasses (once again I have such a low patience thresh-hold for shopping). I enjoyed the visit and practically recommending the rest of my family and friends who live within the Rego Park, Forest Hills area. I saw my friend's FB post recommending his aunt's (Titchie's) establishment and have been meaning to switch optical stores for years and I'm sure glad I did. Came in from the snow and was greeted ever so warmly by a gentleman (whose name escapes me) and also Marina (a lovely woman who set my appt), then was given a really thorough exam by Dr. Andrea who explained everything she was doing. Last but not least, Geeni came over and said, "Let's have fun!" when we went through each and every case to select the best frames to suit my face shape but still be "in style"! (Mind you, I didn't even expect to be shown EVERYTHING) I truly valued the time and honesty she put into servicing and "styling" me. Terrible. Called to verify if they accepted my insurance. Girl on the phone did not even know my insurance and simple said they did not accept it but my insurance website clearly shows they do. After telling them they do, she said ok and that there was an appointment available at 5pm. Just to make sure that they did accept it-- even though this is the job of the optician, I called my insurance to verify- which they did and when I called them back, I got an answering machine saying they were closed. Wtf? Inept people here, not trusting them with my eyes. read more

Highly recommend! I've been to many many different optometrists having moved around a lot and this was by far the best experience I've had. I used to go to LensCrafters cause it was easy and they're everywhere but this time there weren't any near me so I yelped for one and saw that Station Square Eyes had good reviews. I've never had a bad experience at the optometrist but this was definitely better. I saw Dr. Del Coro who was truly great. She was very pleasant and what I really liked was that she described her findings as she was performing the exam. That really allowed me to understand what was going on and it also made me trust her competency even more. Finally, the icing on the cake, there were no pushy salespeople. The doctor was honest about my prescription saying I didn't need new glasses. The receptionist and optician were super pleasant and didn't try to pressure me into buying glasses. Also, the exam cost me $85 without insurance which I find to be very fair. I was expecting the LensCrafter experience where you see an optometrist who doesn't really walk you through what's going on and then the dreaded battle with the opticians who always try to sell you new frames. I had a very positive experience here. The receptionist was friendly, and even though I came in super early for my appointment, I was able to see the doctor right after the current patient was done with their exam, no sweat. As the doctor examined my eyes, she gave me a running commentary of what she was doing. Not only was Andrea informative, she was also efficient and easy to talk to. Finally, Donnie helped me select my frames. Using what he knew about my current glasses and my job, he was able to guide me through a series of frames he felt would suit me best. I was impressed by how observant and intuitive he was. With his help, I ended up picking a pair of glasses that I never would have considered before, but which turned out to be exactly right for me. Not only did Max the attendant fix the nose guard but tighten the screws which were extremely loose and cleaned them for me ...Free of charge!!! OMG I couldn't believe it. But the staff here are super patient, super friendly, honest, and sincere. In my case, they took their time to help me over a few short visits, taking notes in my chart about what styles I liked so the next person could easily help me out the next time I was there. I didn't make an appointment but Jay squeezed me in. He was on point remembering that I wrote their first Yelp review. I was honestly impressed and appreciated the special treatment. Dr. Chan was great as well and worked quickly to give me my eye exam. She noted that last time I was nervous and worked to keep me calm. I really don't like eye drops but they were part of the exam. She makes sure to explain things during the exam and asks if you have any questions. I picked out my new frames with assistance from Jay who was patient and encouraging the entire time. As I get older, my vision needs assistance (sad fact of life, sigh). I have been wearing contact lenses for distance for years and never thought there would be a day where I need help with reading up close. Sigh again. Despite a busy practice, I was able to make a same day appointment and was seen by Dr. Del Corro. She was so nice, pleasant and took her time to examine and explain the options available to me aka multifocals. When the first pair of trial lens didn't seem to work on me (still blurry when trying to read) she quickly got me another pair and checked my sight again. During the eye exam, she voiced some observations that were never before mentioned by my previous optometrist and I've been pretty consistent with getting annual eye exams too! To me, eye health is of equal importance in overall health/well being so I really appreciate her intel. Dr. Del Corro made sure I was completely comfortable before I left the exam room. The exam for multifocal contact lenses cost $140 and includes a follow up visit, standard price around this area (I was shopping around). So far, as I am in my trial lens period, I haven't purchased any lenses yet but I think I found my new optometrist! read more

I hadn't been to seen an optometrist in years. Prior to this, I used go to Sears to get my eyes checked. And then this guy that charged me like $30 just to pour eye drops in my eyes and tell me to come back again in a couple of weeks to dish out another $30. Yea. I was running out of contacts and after hunting around yelp and reading the reviews I decided that hey, maybe they're worth my hard earned money. The main reason? A lot of people raved about the customer service here and that is something I look for. Did they deliver? Yes. True, I walked in there looking for contacts and ended up walking out with a brand new pair of glasses instead (turns my eyesight actually got *Better*! who knew that could happen!?) but I never felt rushed at all. You know when you walk into a medical office of any kind and you feel like every one is just there because it's their "job" to be there? I actually felt like these people liked their jobs. And that they actually cared about the quality of the work they did. The frame stylist was attentive, listened to what I wanted and actually pushed me a little out of my comfort zone and helped me pick a style I was happy with. And when trying on contacts Dr. Chan-Englender made it clear that if I had any issues with the samples she gave me that I should let her know and she'd give me new samples, which she followed through with.
