Although it was the dinner rush, he was calm and helpful, and he took great care of us and the rest of his customers. I got the "sexy" naked Wings and the bread pudding -- both highly craveable!! My husband had a fantastic blue burger with fresh cut fries and homemade Oreo cheesecake. Definitely one of our best dining experiences to date!! We will be back for more.

Sprinkling malt vinegar over the crispy, freshly cooked fries elevated the dish, adding a tangy note that complemented the seasoning perfectly. The interior is casual and welcoming, featuring a variety of seating options such as booths, tables, and outdoor seating to accommodate different party sizes and preferences. The establishment exudes a genuine local vibe, characterized by friendly staff, community-themed décor, and a lively, neighborhood atmosphere, which is increasingly rare in today's diverse dining scene.

From the welcome --"We have been waiting for you!" to the delicious creative menu, (you eat with your eyes first). The thoughtful detail to appearance, taste in salads, yummy roasted carrots with pepita seeds & bacon, meatloaf with smashed potatoes & a perfectly cooked burger with crunch fries - we look forward to our return! The atmosphere is fun & fresh! Praising the owners & staff as this is NOT another franchise! Kudos!

I have been three times. Came once for the opening, I had the burger, my fiancé had a steak dish and we shared the hummus. The burger was good, but frites were dry and my meal was so greasy. My fiancé didn't love the steak. The hummus was good but served with spiced tortilla chips like Doritos. Would have been much better with pita bread or more veggies. The next time I came with a group of girl friends. We shared several small plates, including the corndog shrimp and the pimento cheese. I also got the Chopped salad for my main. Appetizers were very good, salad was just meh. Third time we came for an early dinner. I got the BBQ Bacon Ranch Salad and fiancé got the burger. Salad was not very good, just an odd mix of flavors. Fiancé said burger was good. They changed the fries but he wasn't impressed with these either. The drinks and wine list are excellent. Would love it if the bar stayed open later Thurs- Saturday and offered more small plates and appetizers. I really hope they figure out the menu and execution because it could be such a great restaurant.

I recently placed a DoorDash order at Doubleday's Home Plate…read more Doubleday's Home Plate offers a variety of food options. I elected to get the Ooey Gooey Smashburger and an order of fries. The smashburger consists of two smash hamburger patties topped with American cheese with cheese sauce between the patties. I added pickles on my sandwich. The burger was cooked well, in the typical smashburger style, and was very cheesy and delicious. The fries were good. The order came in a plastic container. Not quite eco-friendly but it kept the food warm and fresh. I highly recommend this establishment. My order was filled quickly and my DoorDasher delivered the order quickly. I like having different dining options and this is one place I do intend on visiting again.

Now, they are basically based at The Famous restaurant which too has gone down hill in quality of food. I had made an order last night after long day of work (work a hour away), and the order was wrong and high priced for the portions. The fish was not a good portion like it was previous and did not even give me tartar sauce with fish. I was not aware of change of location to Famous Restaurant until I made the order and had to drive out of my way after long day at work. Management had refunded me money which was appreciated, but I would say that maybe they should just add this menu to The Famous Menu or to the Doubleday locations and close the doors and concept of this restaurant.

I had an order from Dayton Street Eats delivered recently and the experience was really good…read more I ordered The American Cheeseburger and the Street Fries. Order was delivered really fast and items were packaged carefully in a brown paper bag. Some white paper napkins came with the order, a pickle wedge wrapped in a plastic bag, and a small container of what looked like thousand island dressing sauce (presumably for the cheeseburger). The American Cheeseburger is two all beef patties, with American cheese, lettuce, ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, and some sliced pickles. Presentation was really good. The burgers were fried well done! The American Cheeseburger tasted very good! It was a little crispy along the edges. The pickles tasted a bit spicy. It's a really good burger and the price was reasonable. The Street Fries came in a paper cup and were well seasoned and fried perfectly. I used the container of thousand island sauce for the Street Fries since American cheeseburger already had enough condiments on it. The thousand island sauce is a little spicy but not too bad. I give Dayton Street Eats five stars. Delivery was prompt, food was fresh and really good, and the price seems fair considering similar fare at more mainstream establishments would probably be more expensive but with no greater quality. Highly recommended and I would patronize again!
