What a beautiful ice cream store. This was my first time at the Greater's ice cream and what a gem. We don't have this ice cream in the West Coast so this was very exciting for me. The place is beautiful with retro design and mostly purple color. The ice cream has traditional flavors but also offer irresistible flavors such as Oregon strawberry, mango sorbet, etc. and they are so good. We got the Vienna coffee and strawberry flavor. I absolutely love it and the service is amazing. All the cashiers were so nice and friendly. Highly recommend everyone if you need something cool in the summer read more

Oh my!!! This ice cream is incredible!! It has that old skool ice cream shop vibe inside with the small town wholesome family values. The ice cream is so delicious!! You won't be able to stop thinking about it after you eat it! And their website informs you that they will ship it to your state (because they know you'll crave it)!! I found this place while on a work trip and my husband and I visited another location while on vacation. The cherry chocolate chip was my favorite and the black raspberry chocolate chip Was his favorite. (Both are delicious). We've always had good service at all locations we've visited. We would recommend visiting Graeter's as often as you see one and can find a parking space!! (It's harder than you think)!! read more

Graeters' Ice Cream is a longstanding Centerville tradition. We like that Graeters' Ice Cream is in the center of Centerville; we like that there is adequate parking. This shop is busy year round. Products Five Star Service Four Star Ambience Four Star My favorite ice cream always begins with C. My wife is aft to adventure through the menu. The ambience is dairy fresh and diary clean. We like the service. The tariff is appropriate for the fare. read more

Oh my word! The Black Raspberry Chip was amazing! The staff is fantastic, the facility clean

omg it's kinda pricey but love me some Graeters they are the best! I often get the same thing a buckeye britz or buckeye sundea but even when I've tried other flavors it's still amazing. If you are going there on a date or with someone it a huge money savings if you get 2 scoops and share vs get separtate scoops. but you would have to be pretty comfortable with that person. read more

A very nice store with great ice cream options. They have huge variety with their ice creams. I tired the 4 flavors and these would be my preferences. 1. Black Raspberry Chip (5/5) - would definitely get it again. 2. Cookies and Cream (5/5) very different then what I have eater before (very good). 3. Toffee Chip (4.5/5) - very good if you love the toffee flavor. 4. Dark Chocolate Brownie (4/5)- It was good but a bit dark for my pallet. The staff are super friendly and polite. I would go again. read more

I came for the day, to pick up a bike at Dicks, and HAD to stop in for a cup of Graeter's ice cream (from Indianapolis, but had family that lived in Cincinnati for many years). My absolute favorite is the black raspberry chocolate chip! I got a nice sized bowl and enjoyed it before heading home! Perfect afternoon treat! Staff helpful and friendly! For anyone wondering what is being done here for covid precautions, staff are wearing masks, they have distance markers for spacing, you enter in one door and exit from another. read more

Holy Guacamole! We were out looking at Christmas lights late this week and we ran into this place in Centerville, Ohio. It was late for us old people; about 9 pm on a Sunday night, but this place was lit up and fairly busy. They have got to have the BEST ice cream I have ever had! My wife had brown butter bourbon pecan, our daughter had S'mores, and I had two types of Chocolate! Outstanding! The ice cream was perfect texture, creamy yet not too frozen, or too melted. Each flavor was sharp but not overpowering! Even though they were doing a brisk business, we were served quickly and the store was clean! Excellent end to our family trip! read more

This ice cream is worth the journey every time. Black raspberry chocolate chip!! Thank you for being created! The shop has indoor and (minimal) outdoor seating but whatever the method of consumption the process is order at the counter, eat, and go home happy. If I could offer one tip, wait until there is a male server. My server was a tiny, high school girl and my scoop was so small and frail I felt like I should have gotten a discount on the size. It was still good, but so, so small. In any case, if you are ever driving through Ohio, it is a place to be and def worth a detour. read more

Best.ice.cream.ever! I mean, yeah I'm an ice cream lover, but this is so good! The raspberry chocolate chip is like no other! The flavor is unique, the ice cream is beautiful, and most importantly it is so tasty! The place was packed tonight, we ended up choosing the pints instead of scoops because that's a good deal! I believe $4.99 for a pint, equivalent to 4 scoops of ice cream. I can't wait to come back and try cherry chip, mango, and buckeye. A+ read more

I have enjoyed the ice cream for long time. But I've always ordered it online because I didn't live in the area. I'm not a ice cream connoisseur but I do enjoy it occasionally. I made in person visit with my daughter and grandkids. The interior was immaculate. Service was fast and friendly. Plenty of seating, if you wish . Tons of flavors and different ways to add all sorts of toppings. My daughter a sundae which looked terrific. To shake things up this time I ordered raspberry sorbet. OMG I inhaled it. Killer! Fresh, intense flavors. Kudos! read more

Delicious ice cream and friendly staff. We make it a point to visit when we're in town. I recommend the sea salt caramel!

Graeter's at this location is great! However, my one complaint is that can't process payments fast enough and have people wait in line with their ice cream. Mostly there is just one cashier and several who scoop ice cream. read more

I know I am biased because I am Ohio born and raised but nothing is better than Graeter's Ice Cream. Graeter's is always on my must list whenever I come home to my beloved Buckeye state. I love this location because it is right next to one of my favorite restaurants so I can get dessert right after I get my eat on. The court yard outside is great for enjoying your ice cream on a beautiful spring/summer day. Certain nights the ice cream parlor is packed, but it is worth the wait! Black raspberry chocolate chip is what Graeter's is famous for and I always have to get at least one scoop of this delicious icon. This berry chocolate blend always takes me back to my childhood with every nostalgic lick. Strawberry is my favorite flavor of all time for ice cream and Graeter's Oregon Strawberry is out of this world! It is so sweet and creamy, with chunks of robust strawberries. On my most recent visit I got a scoop of my two favorites on one of those delicious, homemade waffle cones that are made in store. This milky masterpiece was worth every decadent calorie. I can't wait for my next visit home so I can get my Graeter's fix! read more

Good ice cream, friendly enough workers. Plenty of places to sit inside, but also some places outside if it's nice.

This is a terrific ice cream parlor with a local appeal. The facility is quite nice with both indoor and outdoor seating, providing a pleasant place to enjoy one's ice cream selections. The service is friendly and rather efficient. The flavors are numerous and creative. My wife tried the Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Chip, which she enjoyed very much. I had the "less sugar" Mint Chocolate Chip, which I thought was excellent. The prices were reasonable as our bill was $9.12 including tax for two single scoop cups. We will look forward to our next visit as this last time in was a real treat. read more

I usually visit here for a double scoop Sundae. But the other night was getting late and I needed to get my baby back home and into bed. I needed enough ice cream to share (and I have a hard time sharing Graeter's) so I just picked up two pints. They had the same size freezer and the same choices of flavors I've seen at other locations. I picked out two pints - one Black Raspberry Chip (it's an absolute favorite for BOTH me and my husband) and one Peanut Butter Chip. The service her was friendly and efficient! I would normally only buy pints from Kroger because it'll save you money. Graeter's charges $5.29, but Kroger's frequently has theirs on sale. Just a good thing to know. Once I was home, had the boy in bed and was able to dig into a bowl of ice cream, life was good! I managed to find one chocolate chip that was almost as big as the pal of my hand I will note that the Black Raspberry has dark chocolate chips while the Peanut Butter has milk chocolate. Just something to consider if you have a preference. I definitely prefer the dark chocolate (which are also in Coconut, Black Cherry and Salted Caramel). read more

What's not to love about Graeter's? Cincinnati's finest all the way up in Centerville. This place was bustling in my recent visit. Parking is tight as the lot is not that big and the store sits on a busy main road. There is street parking, but that is hard to come by. Service was good. Graeter's is great! read more

This was a tough one for me to rate. The food is always great and normally the service is also great and the atmosphere is always great so it would normally be an easy 5 star. The problem is tonight (Wednesday evening at the end of November) they had one employee working and she couldn't keep up with the demand. I hate to score a place lower because of one not great experience however I have been here before when this employee is working and she should never be alone...ever! So tonight the service was slow, very slow, one ice cream was too soft and another was too rock solid frozen. Nonetheless, go here for icee cream. It's the best place in town and you'll be glad you did, even if you have to wait awhile. read more

My friends and I went here for a little something sweet during our girls day! Greater's is always a popular spot at all of its locations. Unfortunately they were very busy at the time that we went. While ordering I ordered a double and upon receiving my ice cream it only looked like a single. I asked the girl at the counter if she this was a double or not, and she said it is but if more ice cream would make you happy I can give you more, in a sarcastic tone. It was unprofessional and was uncalled for. She gave me barely anymore ice cream and said here you go. Honestly was my first time experiencing an encounter like this at a greater's, and if their ice cream wasn't so darn good, I probably wouldn't be back to this location. But the ice cream I did receive, was amazing as always and was very enjoyable. read more

The hot fudge is amazing! Friendly service and delicious ice cream, so creamy! We loved the old school feel of the shop as well.

Holy moly do I LOVE this place! It is just the best and workers are so very friendly, my favorite ice cream flavors are there and I love the chunks of chocolate! One thing though is one time I feel I got scammed cause those scoops were so small but either way I'm not gonna get fussy over that! I just love how they also have a lactose free version of some ice cream as someone who has too deal with an upset stomach just for some ice cream I love that! Would totally recommend this place too ice cream lovers! read more

Creamy, tasty goodness. I had coconut chip and the delightful raspberry with dark chocolate chips. Perfectly decadent.

Sure you can buy it in the store but isn't it much more fun to buy it "fresh" on a cone and be able to try all the flavors that they don't have in the store? If your answer is yes, then down to the store in the middle of Centerville (or any of their other locations) and check it out. I like this place because it is near several local restaurants so you can walk here for dessert. Or you can just stroll through the neighborhood without the pretense of being downtown for a meal. Either way fils behind the counter are generally helpful and friendly, and even when there is a line the service is pretty fast. The only concern here is that there interior of the store can get crowded and tables can be hard to find when they are really busy. Most of the year, that's ok because you can sit outside. A little more of a concern for the colder days. Yes, we do still go get ice cream in the winter... read more

Bottom line: Graeter's is a Dayton-must-try... Over and over and over again. Best flavor? Black raspberry chip (see photo). It comes packed with big chunks of chocolate for those of you who are looking for a fix. Make it a double threat by putting it in a dark chocolate waffle cone. *drools* Graeter's is truly one of Dayton's best. Unfortunately that's why they can charge so much per scoop. I can't complain though since I keep going back for more. Maybe one day I will try another flavor... Maybe. Tip: Sign up for a Graeter's Sweet Rewards card (no charge) and get a free sundae on your birthday! read more

Graeter's was one of those places everyone told me to try when I moved to Dayton. After some procrastination I finally did. The ice cream is pretty good I just don't seem to love it as much as others. Personally I just don't find that they have much variety in flavor of the actually ice cream. They have a variety of sundaes and milkshakes but the actually ice cream not so much. I definitely go to Graeter's whenever I am in the mood for something that isn't Diary Queen but there are still better places in my opinion. Definitely check it out if you are in the area though. read more

Always love coming here for some amazing ice cream. The best flavor I have had is the black raspberry chip, though you can hardly go wrong with any of their items. Good service, they're always friendly. On certain nights during peak season it can get pretty busy, but they deal well with the amount of people. I have never waited more than 10 min for ice cream here. Parking can be tight in the parking lot occasionally. There are some places to sit indoors, but often they are pretty full. Bring your appetite for this delicious ice cream. read more

I was in town and really craving ice cream. We did a Yelp search and this little gem came up. We stopped in and they 2 gentleman working were incredibly friendly and helpful since it was out first time. Best. Ice. Cream. Ever! Graeter's Ice Cream is made using the french pot method and is still hand packed. Ask to taste their flavors and you'll receive generous bites. The chocolate chunks in the ice cream are sometimes large, and are so good! Favorite flavor? Black Raspberry Chip. During the Christmas season ~ I highly recommend the Peppermint Stick ice cream. You won't be sorry!! We've had this ice cream shipped to us many times with great success. One time they forgot to put dry ice in the container. I called and without hesitation, they shipped another container to us. We moved to the east coast and last year we were so excited to find pints of Graeter's Ice Cream in some of our local grocery stores!! Thank you Graeter's! read more

How can you not love an ice cream joint? The two fellas working were totally enthusiastic about helping us out. We tried multiple samples and I ended up getting Buckeye with cookie dough. Graeter's you have GOOD ice-cream! I'm a fan. I always feel a little hurried when I'm here because the line is typically out the door and people are craving that ice-cream. You can see them salivating in line! The Graeter's employees are nice, but they too, seem a little harried. (Probably cause they're dealing with all the salivating ice-cream customers.) The aren't a TON of flavors here, but enough to make you go hmm..... what do I want? Graeter's also offers sorbets and sundaes. My brother-in-law swears by their sorbets (pronounced sore-bet by him.) You can get your ice-cream in a cone or a cup. The cone selection is almost as good as the ice-cream selection. My only beef....no cake cones! On my latest visit I ordered the mocha chocolate chip ice cream and their dark dutch chocolate mint gelato. Oh my... heaven. If you're in the are and screaming for ice-cream, scream at Graeter's. read more
