I would highly recommend Ashley's 10 out of 10! and not only was the cake delicious but the people there are so sweet, sincere and accommodating! Thank you Ashley's for making my daughter's birthday a little brighter even though her family wasn't there!

I ordered my ice cream and the young lady eating the ice cream went and prepared my ice cream cone without washing her hands and no gloves. I was someone upset about this but almost let it go, but then immediately after me 5 people ordered 5 ice creams and both ladies served the ice cream with gloves on. I discreetly shared what I noticed to the young lady who previously was eating the ice cream and she looked me in the eye and said she washed her hands. I looked her in the eye and did not say anything. She then asked me with a scowl on her face if I wanted the ice cream re made. I said if it was not a problem then I would like it remade. She scowled and with her body language made sure to let me know she was not happy about making me a new ice cream. So I declined the offer. That young lady was young in age but was very experienced with hostility. It was very concerning.

We took a quick trip from columbus to Dayton and were instantly impressed. This is definitely a cafe that loves its city and features many locally made wares. We got the garlic cream cheese danish, the Kellie pie danish, the orange monkey bread, and the buttered croissant. My only problem was that the croissant was covered in a brushing of sugar syrup and it would have been nice for it to just be a butter croissant. It was still delicious and perfectly fine just wish it would have been named more appropriately:) Staff are efficient but kind as there is always a line out the door. We were lucky to still grab some seats inside on a hot day; however, there is well shaded seating outside as well. 4 pastries are a lot for 2 people so we could not try any more. We can't wait to go back!!!!

This is not a get a dozen for the kids ball game kind of spot. Again, just my opinion. I hope to return when I can sit and linger.
