I was the only one in the store but employees on a recent afternoon and they even shared their personal grass for my basket to save me another stop. Cause that's how they treat all their customers...just like family. Had so much fun deliverying to family porches, ringing their doorbell and waving to them when they picked it up. They were all thrilled, just as I am with my own personal stash. When you're craving sweet, this is the place to go!

You can see it from the intersection with the McDonald's, and if you know West Milton that's an easy landmark to find. It's part of the main strip. We like ducky's ice cream in Troy and we also like grandpa Joe's. Its early March right now and duckies is closed for the season. Now I have four daughters, but in particular my fun six year old, who just loves ice cream. I wanted to do something special for them. My oldest says this: The ice cream is great. The customer service is something you don't find it any of the chain stores. You can tell this is a mom and pop and that they care about treating the customers well. She got the flavor called "kitty kitty bang bang", and was pretty good. It might not be a go to favorite, but it was something new, and it was pretty good. It's an original, you couldn't get in anywhere else. Next one says this: I got this flavor called "this just got serious" and it's really good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is there for the first time or likes caramel, chocolate, or vanilla. Third one got Oreo blast, Oreo madness. She's six and doesn't exactly remember the name of the flavor but it has a lot to do with Oreo cookies. She got it in a homemade waffle cone. She says "I love Lala Sugar land". My four-year-old says: it's so good I wuv (love) it. She got the birthday cake in a regular cone. It's a small mom and pop shop. It's a little bit duckies in a little bit grandpa Joe's. It's over in West Milton, right next to that amazing hill for sledding. The kid at the register was engaged and attentive. She is learning the ropes but she knows a little bit about what they have and what taste good. There's an old rule that says never trust a skinny cook or at least never trust somebody who hasn't tasted what they're selling. They know what they're selling and it is delicious. They have some very nice seating inside, higher stools, and then cute little kids tables. We made the drive over from union city in anticipation of picking apples and purchasing some sweet treats from the bakery. Note that this is not actually a u-pick farm but there are bags of apples available for purchase in the store. The store featured a variety of treats and snacks ranging from local honey and Amish noodles to cider and pumpkin balls. I also noticed that they sell cider slushies. The front porch boasts pumpkins, mums and cornstalks for sale. The neighboring bakery is where you can find apple dumplings, sour cream doughnuts, pumpkin rolls, pumpkin cookies and more. They have a handful of patio seats to enjoy your treats on-sure. I'm not sure if this is a weekly fall fixture or not, but they also had a local coffee truck parked for call drinks to purchase. Lastly, there is a fall play area in the back that requires $12 admission per head for those four years and older. I have to admit this seems a bit steep given that many if the orchards we visit in the Indy area have the play areas as part of the experience vs. paid entrance. We easily dropped $75+ on good/drinks during our brief visit. Overall, a positive and fun fall experience. Just wishing there were some more built-in interactive elements without admission.

There were many activities for children and our grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They especially enjoyed the zip line and the corn maze.
