BEST ICE CREAM. This is my favorite ice cream spot. It shows because there is always a line out the door (which goes quick). The chocolate chunks in some of the ice cream are so good and sometimes you get a big chunk. I like the Mint Chocolate Chip the best but Buckeye and Black Raspberry Chip are the next best. They also give big serving sizes. For only 50cents more you get another scoop. read more

Graeter's Ice Cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Centerville, Ohio

The flavors of ice cream are always outstanding! If there are any drawbacks to what they serve, I'd say the overabundance of chocolate in their "chip" ice creams might be just a little bit too much of a good thing. That's really the only knock I've ever had against them. The have a gorgeous variety of flavors and their toppings are really good. Flavors? The black raspberry chip is classic, as well as their peppermint stick, summer peach. There had been a tangerine flavor that was over the top. Don't know when they will have that again. For the new gelato flavors, the hazelnut truffle gelato is a force to be reckoned with. read more

Holee cow...this place is legit!! I consider myself an ice cream aficionado and I can't get enough of the dark chocolate Cherry and the dark chocolate raspberry!! You owe it to yourself to try this place!! It was highly recommended by the locals and I'm so glad I listened!!! read more

Having tried famous ice cream shops and brands all over the nation, Graeter's is still my favorite, AND it's founded in Cincinnati, OH! It was also featured on Oprah and named one of the top 10 ice cream shops in the nation in an article featured on Yahoo! Graeter's French pot process of making ice cream churns out smooth and creamy ice cream that is to die for on a hot summer day! Locals love it so much that we frequent Graeter's in the fall and winter as well! The store provides a homey feeling and this one in downtown Centerville provides outdoor seating. I would say the most popular flavors are those that include Graeter's homemade chocolate chips, which are by far my favorite of any chocolate brand and just melt in your mouth! Must try flavors include Mint Chocolate Chip (my fav!!!) and Black Raspberry Chip. Those are probably their two most famous flavors! If you have more of a sweet tooth, go for the Mocha or Toffee Chip. You won't be disappointed!! read more

I am a huge fan of fruit and chocolate, so this line-up of flavors was insane!! Black cherry chip, black raspberry chip, banana chip, etc!!! After some generous samples, I settled in on a double scoop of BC chip and BR chip. The chocolate is plentiful in huge chunks and the fruit flavors are rich and on point. Good quality ingredients here. Great surprise on a business trip to the area! I'll be back tomorrow to pair the banana chip with peanut butter chip ;) read more

I love(d) a few specific flavors from Graeter's, most of which did not contain the "chocolate chips," that Graeter's is certain everyone loves. They have done-away with several flavors, and replaced these with even more flavors with chocolate chips. So now, a majority of flavors are heavy chocolate chips. Chips is a misnomer. These are huge chunks of chocolate that are very hard, because they're frozen. I really enjoy eating the ice cream, and have to pull large, kid-you-not silver-dollar sized chunks of chocolate out of my mouth, so I can move on with more ice cream. Not my thing. I have moved-on to other brands, now, as a result of this. Compared to the TriCounty Cincinnati store, this location is missing bakery items, as well as the nice chocolate and candy selections. Beyond that the place was operated by a group of high school students. They need a bit more guidance on cleaning and customer service. 1 of our group decided to pass, since the flavor he wanted was unavailable. 1 of the group settled for an alternate flavor. 1 of the group was totally satisfied with their visit. So of 4 people, only 50% were satisfied with their visit, and that 50% influences the 3rd, making a 25% return rate from the group. read more

I have to agree 100% with the other reviewers, the icecream here is amazing. I had raspberry chip as others recommended and ooh lala~ the chocolate in it is creamy and rich while the subtle rasberry flavor balances out so well! Definitely looking forward for another visit. read more

Graeter's Ice Cream - G-R-E-A-T ! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Centerville, Ohio

Graeter's has been in business for something like 150 years, and you don't last that long if you're not doing something right. It's basically the best ice cream you can get around here. I think the secret is in their chocolate chips, which are soft and rich like a ganache or chocolate truffle. And often, they're the size of small candybars. If you're having a chocolate craving, one of these bad boys will take care of it in no time. My favorite flavor is the black raspberry chip, but my kids (and I think my husband) would definitely vouch for the Buckeye Blitz, which is chocolate ice cream with peanut butter chunks and chocolate chips. They make a mean waffle cone and also have pretzel cones for that salty-sweet effect. It's not something you'd want to eat every day, but if you're gonna splurge on some ice cream, this is the place you want to be. Not that overrated place that rhymes with Mold Bone. read more

Ice cream was amazing! I got a banana split with Buckeye and cookie dough ice creams. Only bad was the place smelled like fart. read more

Graeter's Ice Cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Centerville, Ohio

it always smells kinda weird but it's super cute and lowkey. the ice cream is really good about $4-6 for a serving. a good place to do homework and just chill. read more

What's better than delicious cookies & cream ice cream? Eating it on a bench with friends on a quiet summer night in Centerville. Add to that a little people-watching and some cute dogs, and you have a little scoop of heaven. read more

Awesome ice cream and shakes. Love how they change up seasonal flavors. They also have some great ice cream cakes to take home that are pre-made in their freezer. read more

If you aren't from Centerville I recommend you drive to the next closest one! The ice cream is great but it seems everything in this little town has a line out the door. It's impossible to find parking and there are so many people on the streets that it's hard to drive! read more

Graeter's pretty much only hires High School students for hourly positions in retail locations. High turn over with store managers and team members. Managers often work 48+ hours a week and have a "high school" work ethic from being around them all the time (gossip, slack off, disappear for long periods, etc). The stores are not consistent with product offerings. At some locations you can get a cappuccino, at others you cannot even get a freshly brewed coffee. Stores that have bakery items are also inconsistent with their offerings. You would think that after 151 years they would get it right. Upper management is very cliquey. If a VP, District Manager or Training Supervisor does like you, you are gone. They fabricate situations or exaggerate facts to terminate your employment. Product quality is good, but they do not find ways to reduce production costs (yes, they do...they hire at bare minimums in the bakery and ice cream production facilities and hourly store employees are hired barely above minimum wage). In all honesty, BEN and JERRY'S and JENI'S SPLENDID ICE CREAMS have a better price point and also offer premium ice cream available in retail locations, online and stores online n grocery stores coast to coast. read more

I really loved this place because the ice cream was delicious but when you walk in, it had a comfortable feel to the place! Also there are benches outside so we ate ice cream as we watched the cars go by...Yes I'll be back! read more

Exceptional ice cream in a variety of flavors. Founded in Cincinnati, the product is made in small batches. Headquarters have since moved to Columbus, where visitors can watch the process. The high quality warrants the premium prices. read more

Stopped in again for ice cream because I like the flavors. The ice cream assistants are super great about helping you find a flavor by giving samples and descriptions on the flavors. This time I had buckeye which is chocolate/peanut butter ice cream with bits of the candy in it. I had the cheese crown but not a huge cheesecake fan and has cinnamon in it. I like the black raspberry and chocolate too! Rich but yummy! We get to go and sit on the benches outside which avoids the tax of staying for those unaware. Tip your helpers! read more

This is good ice cream. I liked it. I'm not sure I like it as much as most people, but I've never heard anyone speak ill of it. It didn't totally knock my socks off, but then again, it was really built up for me. read more

This is thee thing to do in Centerville on a warm evening. I've never had Graeter's ice cream before, but I knew it was expensive because I've seen it at Costco for $12 for half a gallon. Parking lot is a bit congested as it shares with the also popular City Barbeque. Wife got the black raspberry chip and I had the Buckeye sundae. Verdict - black raspberry chip in a waffle cone was the winner; and probably one of the best ice creams I've ever had (although almost $3 for a single scoop, plus a $1 for the cone). The Buckeye Sundae comes with peanut butter ice cream - single scoop almost $5. This place is definitely quality over quantity, but I'm a fan and foresee several hundred visits on warm evenings. read more

Graeter's really does make some of the best ice cream ever. It's a truly Midwestern old-fashioned ice cream shop in the best way possible. Everyone who works at this location is super friendly and helpful. The Buckeye Blitz is especially delicious! read more

Gotta hit Grater's when in Ohio. Never had a location disappoint and this was not different. The chocolate chip cookie dough is my fav. The chips are created when chocolate is poured into the ice-cream while mixing. Every chip bite is amazing. But the ice-cream alone has just the right amount of salt and butter fat. read more

Best Icecream in the entire world. How you couldn't give this 5 stars is insane! DELICIOUS!!! Love it so so so much

Going in on an early Wednesday afternoon, I had the place to myself. Was tempted to buy Graeter's own chocolate but stuck with the single cone, Double Chocolate. Yum. The perfect lunch. read more

Best ice cream around. If you don't like Graeters there's something wrong with you. I can never decide on what to get because every flavor is amazing but the Black raspberry chip is out of this world. I wish it wasn't so expensive but good ice cream is worth it to me!! read more
