Soyo is a place where I enjoying eating at with family and friends. Unfortunately, I visited earlier this evening and Soyo fell short of my previous trips. No staff members (including the owner) were wearing masks. Also, no social distancing was being practiced or recommended. Without these measures being practiced, as required by Montgomery County officials, I fear I will not be able to visit for some extended period of time. This is a great place to stop and grab some Yogurt. A great alternative to your traditional ice cream. The wife and I stopped in and was greeted by a very helpful staff that walked us through the process and flavors available. The yogurt was awesome. The yogurt was fine, but the employee was annoying. I went in to fill my cup and he started asking me if I wanted a sample. Which is nice, but I would of preferred if he asked me at the start. Soyo is delicious!!! Family favorite. We try to go at least twice a month. They always jump to provide sample cups or make great suggestions. The only reason they get a 4 star is because it's kind of expensive. For 2 adults and a 3 year old we normally spend $10-$13. read more

I have frequented this location several times (a minimum of ten) and filled out my entire loyalty punch card. Upon attempting to cash in my "free six ounces", I am told that the final punch was this time, as she punches re-punches the second to last whole. Now, I know they all had been punched, so why would on a punch card with 5 wholes on top and five across the bottom would they be punched out of order? They wouldn't. I paid for them in total and left. Apparently business is not doing well if they don't want to honor their own loyalty programs. On a side note the gentleman that owns the business is always nice and upbeat, just stay away from the woman who apparently values $3.60 over the $100 I had spent and would have spent again. read more

I was excited to discover a yogurt shop close to home. I love frozen yogurt and used to eat it nearly every day for lunch many moons ago. But I haven't seen too many frozen yogurt shops around since TCBY went out of business. I discovered SOYO through a Groupon or Living Social deal and immediately rushed over to try them out. However, I was rather disappointed with their yogurt. I tried quite a few flavors over time and always felt it just came up short. Eventually I quit going. Recently I discovered another yogurt shop in town and I love it! It's called Orange Leaf and I must say it puts SOYO to shame. I said as much to a couple of the Orange Leaf employees and they said they hear the same sentiment over and over from their customers. So happy to have found a good yogurt shop, and sadly it's not SOYO. I am sure a lot of people do like SOYO, but it's just not for me. read more
