The Dairy Station is THE BEST! The ice cream / soft serve is ALWAYS spot on. The staff is ALWAYS super kind and helpful and friendly! The store is simple but the place is INCREDIBLE. If you want a place for ice cream that is priced right, tastes great and served by the best staff...you gotta stop at The Diary Station! Be prepared to wait. Line for the drive-thru is typically wrapped around the building. Inside is usually way faster but we have seen the line outside the building and people waiting for their turn to order. A dairy place, better than average. It gets points for being independent. That itself is good, but it gets better. It also has Dole Whip, so bonus points. Such a good option for a town like this. A lot of smaller towns have independent ice cream places. Because of that, it would make this one seem unremarkable. However, not many of these have dairy free Dole Whip. It usually has two flavors. WOW! My husband and I happened to be in the Xenia area last week around 9:30PM and decided to swing through the drive-thru. We ordered a scoop of Honey Roasted Peanut Butter on a Cone and the Pineapple Dole Whip. Both were delicious but the Dole Whip was by far my favorite. Solid place for ice cream! it's only open during the summer but is so good! The service is pretty good but you go at a good Time because it can pretty busy in the drive through. Pretty cute place as well with some cute decor. It has indoor and outdoor seating. They also sell dole whip which I recommend, it's delicious. You know spring has arrived when the Dairy Station opens. I love that we have a small, family owned ice cream place in town. They have a huge selection (my faves are the twisters, Dole Whip and milkshakes) and prices are great. The kids that work there are always so sweet and friendly. Their drive thru gets BUSY especially on hot summer evenings and unfortunately there isn't a TON of parking. Really amazing family run business. The staff is mostly younger high school and/or college age people which are always happy to assist the kids no matter how many samples are requested haha (my daughter included). It is so important to support local business like this and 'm sure this is for many their first chance to put away a few dollars to better themselves in the future. We fell in love with dole whip after going to Disney. When we came home, we found the Dairy Station and that they had dole whip. IT WAS AMAZING. In my opinion, better than Disney's! Beware Unsanitary practices. Went to the Dairy Station today for the first time. Seen a young woman through the window wondering if she was the only one there. I seen another gentleman step outside while 5 cars were in line. We waited a long while. Only to see the young woman preparing the order through the window of the car in front of us. Only to not take off her gloves then handled the money with the gloves on. We do not take chances with our health so we left the line. Good Luck read more

The scooped Ice cream is from Hershey's line. The soft serve comes out of the machine like any other place. It's not the most mind blowing ice cream ever but it's pretty cheap and the staff is really friendly. My sundae was good, even if it wasn't the height of haute cuisine. The place was reasonably clean, considering it was the end of a hot ( so probably busy) weekend. They seem to be harvesting the condensed drips of water from the air conditioners to water the plants, which I found charming and smart. The use of styrofoam cups dishes, I found less exciting. I wasn't so blown away that I'm going to drive to Xenia just to visit this place. However, I liked it enough that, when I happen to be in Xenia, I might be easily persuaded to stop by. read more
