Small cup of vanilla soft serve with cookie dough and chocolate syrup.

Retro little ice cream stand. Very nice staff and the ice cream was delicious. I ordered a vanilla cup with cookie dough and chocolate sauce and there were toppings galore. I loved their patio. It had a really nice, shady terrace covered in vines that you could sit under to get out of the heat. Really lovely!

    Sundae with everything! Very good

Pretty good little ice cream and snack place in yellow springs. They had a variety of different ways to put ice cream together from sundaes to splits to just overall cones. Not a lot of flavor varieties but still good on a summer's day. They also had hot dogs as well. Plenty of outdoor seating and very friendly staff. Good place for dessert in town!

Man this spot is like Dairy Queen if DQ was independently owned in a small hippie town. Large number of flavors for their soft serve. Prices are super reasonable and service is quick!!

I went to get some ice cream from the Corner Cone. They have about 30 flavors with each also coming vegan so it's pretty friendly for that. It also has vegan hot dogs. It's not that expensive either which is a plus. They are open only in the afternoons on weekdays, but they open at noon on the weekends. I like the humongous selection. There's seriously about 30 flavors and each also comes in vegan which tastes almost like the real thing. A few of the flavors include amaretto, banana, caramel, cheesecake, espresso, lemon, orange, peanut butter, tutti frutti, and watermelon. It's also pretty cheap for the sizes. The bowl is about $3. A banana split is about $5. They have flurry mix ins with candy. It seems a lot of the candies and toppings are also vegan. They can make any two flavors into a twist. It's not only ice cream. They also have vegan hot dogs. These are $3 and toppings include banana peppers, jalapeno peppers, and tomatoes for 10 cents, and guacamole and onions for 50 cents. I will stop in next time I'm there. It's a great vegan alternative to the ice cream places up the road. They have a friendly staff and the food is good for its price.

    Me and the spot.

Okay. I must say that I was absolutely shocked at this place. Being originally from Brooklyn New York. A city notorious for little kids chasing down the ice cream truck in hopes of being fortunate enough to acquire a cone of vanilla soft serve or maybe even a rocket pop perhaps...Since those days of childhood past. I've yet to fine the type of softswerve that I crave. That is until now. I got a simple vanilla soft serve cone and let me just tell you. I was in complete and total awe at how marvelous this frozen confection had tasted. The consistency of it all was just pure Bliss. The buttery undertones and the texture of this treat, let alone the freshness of the cone itself. It all just all came together perfectly and transported me back home.

This place is just awesome. We had to wait in line for a bit but it was worth it. It wasn't expensive either. It's a great stop for people who want something cold after a bike ride or hike. I got a vegan hot dog and soft serve. The hot dog was definitely better than typical hot dog places. The bun made the difference. I liked how they toasted it. The soft serve was super creamy. The best part was that it was all vegan. This will for sure be our regular stop when we are in yellow springs!

The "jumbo" vanilla shake cost $4.99 and is about the size of a frosty from Wendy's. Very disappointed.

The neighborhood creamy whip for Yellow Springs. Good food with a nice, shaded area to spread out and enjoy a cone or whatnot.

Atmosphere was fun (toddler sized adirondack chairs are a plus!). Hazelnut milkshake was the oddest tasting milkshake I've ever tasted.

She took the time to walk us through the menu and even shared how she cashed in her retirement to follow her dream of owning this place. You can tell her heart is in every bite. The menu covers all the good stuff--burgers, fried bologna, chicken tenders--but as the name suggests, the real stars are the loaded hot dogs. They start with a big locally sourced 6-to-1 all-beef dog and then pile on some wild toppings. I went with the Mactastic Dog--two strips of grilled bacon, creamy housemade mac & cheese, and a drizzle of sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, all on a perfectly steamed bun. Absolute perfection. I also couldn't resist trying the Bologna Coney, which was a thick grilled slice of bologna (cut in half) topped with Debbie's "almost famous" homemade coney sauce, a hit of stadium mustard, diced onions, and a generous handful of shredded cheese. I made it a combo with fries and a drink, and it did not disappoint. My wife ordered the Slaw Dog and loved every bite. As a former chef, I've got a soft spot for simple food done right--and that's exactly what Crazy Dog Grill delivers. The place itself has a fun, casual vibe with tables on two levels and some great classic rock playing in the background. If you're anywhere near Chillicothe, run, don't walk to Crazy Dog Grill. Ask for Debbie's "almost famous" coney sauce (I'm trying to make it officially famous!), and if you're a mac and cheese lover--trust me--get the Mactastic Dog. You'll thank me later. Tell Debbie Brian and Candi said hello!!

The sign caught my wife's eye and since we were hungry, it was kind of perfect. Our kids had never been here before and it was a good opportunity to expose them to a great late-night diner with plenty of vegetarian options (our favorite thing about this place) downtown. We each ordered a veggie dog in a different style and we grabbed some sides as well - totchos, fries, and pretzel bites! The kids loved their sides. We are still opening their eyes to different types of foods, so it was a stretch for them to order a veggie dog at a restaurant that had unique toppings! Next time, we'll have them get charred and not steamed. I thought steamed would be the way to go, but I forgot my oldest has become accustomed to veggie dogs on the grill during marching band season. I tried the veggie brat out of curiosity. I could honestly take it or leave it over a charred veggie dog. I like both about equally. Overall, great experience. Our server was great, friendly, and accommmodating, and our food tasted great! I hope we can talk the kids into coming again to try a different combination. It's such a fun place that fits our family vibe.
