I recently attended a wedding reception at this venue. I travelled from DFW. The venue itself is interesting and the food and service were ok. No real negatives. But The have a nice parking lot next door to the building. During the course of the reception a number of cars were vandalized/robbed (broken windows and ransacking the contents). It wasn't even dark yet. Mine was one of them. It could have easily been mitigated by a rent-a-cop. Take note as this was a very avoidable event. Beware and if you rent the venue get your own security if the venue doesn't care. read more

I am a wedding officiant and perform a lot of weddings every year. I was at Station 3 on December 8, 2023 for a ceremony and I met Paula, the venue manager, outdoors when I drove up. They have a great parking lot, especially for a venue so close to downtown. However, Paula told me to park on the street literally a few feet from the entrance (really helpful since I am usually the first person to leave). I would describe the wedding as "magical". Station 3 has a magical quality that is hard to describe. It's not very big so the guests were literally only a few feet from me. However, it added an intimacy that really made this venue and the wedding stand out. I have no control over where my clients book their weddings but Station 3 would be high on my list as a recommendation. However, my perspective may be quite different since I am a vendor and not a client but I would jump at the chance to return. I loved it. read more

**DO NOT BE FOOLED by the exposed brick and smiling faces when touring this venue** We put a deposit down for our wedding prior to covid being a thing. Before having to cancel the wedding because of the pandemic, Paula was always very slow to respond to emails and often required multiple emails to get a response. I won't even talk about them keeping the deposit- but certainly there are other venues to consider before resorting to this one. DO NOT MAKE YOUR GUEST SUFFER!!! Went to an event here. Lots of charm and character, however, this is what I took away from my experience. AIR conditioner was not working properly. It was August and we were all sweating so bad people were leaving. We could not get out of there fast enough. THE WOMEN'S restroom down stairs had light bulbs out. Nope, you couldn't even see inside the stalls because the lighting was purposely dim already and with lights burned out you can leave that to your imagination. Ha! I read reviews on Yelp about the same air conditioner issues. Don't torture yourself or your guest by renting this venue. Unless it's on a COLD winter day. ( You know that happens 4 or 5 days a year). Happy planning. read more

First, I absolutely loved this venue! It was less than 2 miles from our Downtown church ceremony. The venue coordinator, Kerri, was also incredibly attentive and easy-going and I'm very thankful for her. I love the character, the raw feel of the building being on the outskirts of downtown, and the beautiful large window doors to welcome guests. The view from the second floor gives a breath-taking view of Downtown. I received compliments from guests all night long how awesome the venue was! Okay, the not so great: I feel horrible giving this venue 4 out of 5 starts because it was really great but there were a few things as a bride shopping for venues would want to know. I would also like to preface this by saying I think these things are out of Station 3's control. The first being that the downstairs got incredible hot as the dancing began! 1.) Yes, I had my wedding in August, and no, I didn't expect for my wedding to feel like a dream. But it is what it is. it was hot downstairs every time a guest exited and opened one of the big front doors. On the flip side, It felt great upstairs during dinner! So, yes, they do have an A/C that works well :) 2.) it was a little disappointing that you could not real candles. I don't think my LED ones took away from my overall image, but there is something more romantic about a flickering candle versus a battery operated light. Wow, I cannot be more impressed! This place is amazing and gorgeous and has so much built in character! The staff is nothing short of fantastic and accommodating! I looked at the venue for my parents anniversary party a few years ago and it was a bit pricey and not many amenities, but such a cool spot, that when I got engaged, I had to look again. I'm so glad I did! They have made so many improvements to pricing and amenities that I had to book! Our wedding was last September and just perfect. We had 150 guests and Paula (venue director) helped us build the perfect floor plan so there was plenty of room for everyone. In fact, Paula helped us build the perfect event from start to finish. I can't say enough great things about my entire experience here. read more

My fiance and I had chosen Station 3 because of how uniue it was, and I couldn't wait to see my tipsy aunts and the fire pole. I'd put down $7000 in deposits 19 months before our wedding date. Fast forward to 6 months before our wedding date and hadn't heard a single peep from Paula. My fiance and I had decided we weren't comfortable with having a big event anymore as COVID was back on the rise, so we agreed we would postpone the reception to another time in the future. I called Paula to see about a refund, at which point she went on attack saying that I had signed a contract and since it was so close to the date (six months) she couldn't do anything for me. She also mentioned that she had spoken with approximately a dozen other people who were interested in the date (12/17/22) that she had to turn away. Another interesting thing she said was that some of my money had already been spent "because this is an old building and requires significant upkeep." Why tf am I paying for something not associated with my wedding? Absolutely ridiculous. Avoid this place like the plague! Do your research on it. Plenty of information from people who have had events here previously. I should have done my due diligence, but I learned a (very expensive) lesson. read more

My husband and I are native Houstonians living in Brooklyn. For our wedding, we wanted to give our guests the most authentically Houston-esque event possible. When we found out about Station 3, we knew there was no other option for us as far as the reception was concerned. The beauty of the space goes without saying, but anyone considering having their event at Station 3 should also know that the event managers (we worked with Kerri & Hayley) are all so helpful, organized, and very communicative. We did not give them an easy event (sudden, torrential downpour + lots of outside/independent vendors + fire inspectors, oh my!), and they handled it like champions. Needless to say, our guests (the majority of whom are in the wedding/events/restaurant business) were blown away. Thanks again for hosting everyone in safety and in style! read more

Attended a wedding here. There were approx 130 people. Way to crowded. Suggeeldt party of 100 as max. Also cocktails were outside toallow for pictures. Very uncomfortable ib July. Not a good plan. Also no kitchen facilities and caterers were scrambling. Nice benue if take into account these shortcomings. read more

We had our wedding here in March and this venue was outstanding! The building itself is really breathtaking, especially the exposed brick, the up-lighting, and the cool views of downtown. It's a really unique and beautiful place and I received many compliments from my guests about it. The real cherry on top was the venue coordinator, Kerri. Kerri is one of those people who is really good at her job and actually likes doing it. She was a wonderful person to work with. We booked the venue about a year in advance--from the time we booked through the wedding day she was always available and ready to help. We couldn't have made it through the wedding without her. Definitely would recommend this venue, whether for a wedding or any other event. read more

Great staff, great venue but be very careful if you use the location in July and August. The air conditioning isn't strong enough to support large groups (150+). The temperature of the room upstairs and downstairs was way to hot and made things uncomfortable. read more

My husband and I got married during mid-September and had the wedding we will cherish for many years to come at Station 3. The venue package comes with the services of the venue Coordinator, Kerri Smelek, who is extremely professional, responsive, and the person you want to have on the day of your wedding. Luckily for us, we were able to book the date of our wedding many months in advance and secured our spot on the calendar. The venue caters to smaller groups, our wedding was right at about 130, which was perfect for the venue. The venue uses a web-based seating chart that allows for easy seating arrangements. Kerri will provide suggestions on what may work best, what she's seen done in the past, etc. Further, we were able to utilize the venue for bridal portraits which was a very unique spot as the venue is pretty much a blank canvas. The venue also allows you to bring in outside vendors, which was exactly what we were looking for as we didn't want the contraints like other venues. Because of Kerri, we had a stream-lined wedding with happy vendors, happy attendants and a happy couple! I could not rave enough about this spot. It is a hidden treasure that is unique to Houston that won't be a secret very long!! read more

My daughter's wedding was held here at Station 3...she saw it on the Knot and threw down and said this is the venue I want...her and Daddy went for a walk through and dad whipped out his checkbook right then and there to book it.....the staff there were so helpful considering we have never thrown a wedding before they helped to walk us hand and hand through every step that we were clueless about....the venue it's self is fabulous, all we added were candles and flowers and that was all that was needed and they even loaned us 50 candles for the front of house for the actual ceremony....they kept in constant contact with us about every vendor, every candle...literally just everything!!! I cannot tell you what a help all the staff was there prior to the wedding....we had to make a 24 hour change in our original plans prior to the wedding and one third of our original plans to rearrange because of the weather but they did not skip a beat.......Ashton you were a life saver, you were my therapist, mother and perfect coordinator..without you I may have had a heart attack....I'll recommend this venue to anyone for anything....I think one bridesmaid already has y'all in her sights set on you for her wedding..I will post later the pictures as soon as the photographer sends them to us!!
