I've never received so many compliments during a party; everyone was thrilled by the beautiful details and had an absolute blast! A huge shoutout to Muyiwa, who is a complete professional! He attended to my every need and was a master at putting out fires before I even realized there was a problem. His connections with vendors made everything seamless--from catering and wait staff to casino tables, beverages, decorations, and luxury lounge seating. He offers these services as add-ons or can provide contact information, which took so much stress off my shoulders during the planning process. Oh and as so many others have mentioned parking, valet included! I did add a backdrop for some extra flair, but honestly, the venue is gorgeous on its own! The event was an absolute blast--we danced the night away and truly felt like we were in the movie Casino Royale. I wouldn't hesitate to host another event here; in fact, everyone at my party was so impressed that they immediately started planning their next event at this venue! The rooftop setup is fantastic, giving you the best of both worlds. If it rains, you still have a beautiful indoor space to enjoy. It's clear that this venue is thoughtfully designed, and my husband and his friends had the time of their lives. They even mentioned how jealous they were and wished their wives would plan something similar for them--so I think I earned the best wifey award! I highly recommend 1111 Studewood Place. I'm writing this review mid way, in the process of attempting to have my wedding reception here! The owner is the WORST at communication! He's quick to brush me off the phone when I do finally get ahold of him! I'm devastated how difficult it is to get things going! I'm so close to pulling out on this venue. I keep trying to get a day to test our food & he ghosts us, doesn't confirm or simply just forgets about us. This venue has a TON of rules and if I had known this process with this persons venue was going to be so unpleasant I would've never decided to host my reception here! I really can't thank Muyiwa enough for helping to make our wedding so wonderful. The venue is outstanding and unique - a cool loft interior and a breathtaking view of downtown from the rooftop. We had about 60 guests at our wedding and due to the rain, we were able to comfortably accommodate everyone inside during our ceremony. Thankfully the rain allowed us to enjoy the rooftop afterwards! The bar area and on-site kitchen were very useful for our vendors and the sound system was perfect for our Apple playlist. Valet parking was an excellent perk, especially since it was raining when our guests arrived. Overall, I highly recommend this space if you're looking for a unique, intimate and romantic space! read more

1111 Studewood Place is a pretty nice location for the price point. We got married in March at this location and the rooftop made the event very special. Please note that the restroom is not on the same floor as the dining hall. Also, plan to kiss your deposit goodbye, as the venue charges for every minute you will be in the space (this includes break down/clean up). Overall, the event space is nice but the service was not stellar, as we ran into surprises along the way. read more

I wish I would have seen Sara S. (from Houston, TX 12/16/2021), review before my daughter booked and trusted this venue with her wedding. Our Wedding planner, that was recommended by this venue, and she also had issues with communication and scheduling with venue manager, so I went to owner and she backed him up and tried to explain everything away. Come the day of my daughter's wedding, neither the venue manager or the owner were present and the ordered food ran out before they could feed all of our guests and the quality of the food was less than what was promised and presented at our food tasting meeting with them. I felt it was a bait and switch on the food and no explanation as to why the food was so poor quality and how they could have run out of food for our guests. I am beyond disappointed for my daughter and my guests who traveled from out of state for this special occasion. Heads up, nice views, good presentation, but they failed when it counted and there were many warning signs which we should have listened to, but we chose to trust in them. I am still waiting for our wedding planner to find out why they ran out of the food and the quality and taste was so poor in contrast to our food tasting meeting, will post here as soon as she returns our inquiry. read more

This is an incredible venue! It is beautiful and unique--5 stars for so many reasons! 1) Location - It's in the Heights area, and it was easy for our guests to get to and has a gorgeous view of downtown. 2) Facilities - The indoor/outdoor space is beautiful. There is a great little kitchen for caterers, and the bar is nice. The A/V system is great. Restrooms are nice. All the little things you don't really think about are great 3) Parking - You can't beat complementary valet! 4) Management - They were super easy to deal with, and Muyiwa was awesome on our wedding day helping us deal with several punches that rolled our way. 5) Cost - Rental space is beyond reasonably priced. I'm sure I'm leaving out several things, but I highly recommend this. You and your guests will love it. read more

Besides price and location, one of the most important things in choosing a venue is making sure that there is good communication. They "can't" schedule tours more than a week in advance which is very odd to me. Tried emailing and their responses take days to schedule a tour (15 days to be exact) . Also, no luck getting through to anyone on the phone. Tried again to schedule and have been waiting 3 days for a confirmation for appointment 2 days from now. I won't be planning my wedding here. read more

This venue will now hold a special place in our hearts! I held my Ceremony and Reception here this past December and it was very nice for an intimate wedding. Muyiwa was very professional. The venue it self is very beautiful, we had our ceremony on the terrace and it was picture heaven! The bar was great and had everything you would need. I love the New York rooftop type of feel, it didn't feel like we were in Houston! The valet is super nice too. Over all a great experience! read more

We had our wedding reception here and couldn't have had a better venue. Our reception was about 75 people and it was awesome! Our caterer had excellent access to small kitchen on site, the space was beautiful, and oh my THE VIEW of Downtown!!! I didn't get a chance to even walk this space unfortunately. I called to see if I could get a same day appointment because I was unexpectedly in the area and was trying to take care of two things at once. When I called initially I got no answer but then the gentleman returned my call. I'm not sure if he was having a rough day or not but he came off very short with me. I was looking for a space for a year out and on a Sunday at that. I felt like he was trying to rush me off the phone with his questions and he shut me down as soon as I said I was looking to do a fashion show I wanted to do for about 150 people. Well according to their website it eays they can accommodate up to 140. Considering for my event I would not need any tables just chairs I thought it may be a great fit I could just reduce the number of people by 10. However I didn't get the opportunity to tell him anything else. He was too busy telling me they are not a good fit for me. To be clear I just needed chairs and to create an aisle way. It's unfortunate we couldn't work together because I love the pictures of their venue. It would have made for an amazing experience with dope pictures. I was doing the event for a charity but of course I didn't have a chance to let that be known because he was trying to rush me off the phone because "their event space was not a good fit for my event". read more

FANTASTIC! Just had my wedding reception here! We had about 115 people for our reception and they were so accommodating with all of our requests and found a way to make our night special. They have a kitchen on site where they let us bake and also were very accommodating of our caterer as well. The place looked amazing that night and whatever we asked, they found a way to make it work. The management was amazing. Thank you Mike and Muyiwa for all that you did and for making our night AMAZING. For the price, the place cannot get any better than this. Horrible experience with the manager Muyiwa. We planned a once in life time 50th birthday party which was cancelled during COVID. I plan a lot of events and was really the worst. Holding our money, inappropriate communication , we lost tons of money. Please do not waste a second of your time or money with this place. read more

I had my wedding here and it was the perfect venue for me! We had about 70 in attendance. I loved that I was able to use my own vendors, so I could customize the food, decor, drinks, etc. Muyiwa is very organized and helpful. He's definitely on top of things - which made me feel relaxed that things would be taken care of on the event/wedding day. I only needed to talk to him just a couple brief times before the ceremony because everything was settled and done. His staff helped to set up and tear down. Everyone was just so helpful. The space is beautiful. My guests were all commented about how lovely the setting was. We were able to keep the decoration simple, because the space is nice on it's own. The rooftop with the view of downtown is definitely a highlight! Highly recommend for a small/medium event or wedding! read more

We had our daughter's rehearsal dinner at Studewood Place and it turned out perfect. The space is amazing...and the views of downtown Houston on the rooftop at night are breathtaking. They had all the tables and chairs set up for us so it was easy to come in and decorate the day of. The kitchen and bar area are amazing and make it very easy for the caterers and bartenders. Hooking our computer up to their sound system for music was very easy. Mike was so easy to work with throughout the entire process. Wonderful space! read more

I did my 40th birthday party here this past March and it was amazing! The views were spectacular!!! The weather was amazing and you have the option of being both inside or outside. The location is a rooftop in the Heights with a view of downtown. It was picture perfect! The space was great, and easy to set up and take down, and we had plenty of help from the venue to help us with technology and to ensure the night went smooth! It was a great way to ring in the 40's!
