No greeting, no thank you. Were served drinks without sleeves. Had to ask multiple times for sleeves. Again asked multiple times for stoppers. Each time we asked for something, you could see the face tightening. J needs re-training or no customer contact. If I was home, I'd never go back. Seems like anywhere you go these days. Hard to understand why this location doesn't have more stars. It is our go-to place for drinks whenever we are in Yuma or even just passing through on our way to or from California. The baristas are always friendly and the lobby has a comfortable atmosphere. Our drinks are always made promptly and correctly. Sometimes there is a wait, but only because they are so busy with customers - and that is to be expected. Conveniently located just down the hill and a street over from the Love's where we get our gas in town and close to freeway access when you are just making a quick stop. I traveled my way to Starbucks and ordered a matcha Frappuccino and two caramel creme ribbon crunch Frappuccino's. Opinion on Matcha: The matcha was not strong enough considering I put 6 scoops of Matcha into the Frappuccino and it tasted only like milk. There were no hints of Matcha at all. Opinion Caramel Creme Ribbon Crunch: The Frappuccino was very sweet and tasted great. There were various notes of caramel and I enjoyed the droops of syrup. The only problem with this drink was that it melted too fast. Super rude Starbucks, walked over from the hotel next door to place an order was told I had to wait outside and order on the mobile app or go through the drive through. Hands are full with a toddler so we ended up going elsewhere and it's cold at 8pm at night. I stopped here every morning while on my week long work trip here. All staff was friendly and professional. When making the drinks went long in the drive thru they were very quick to apologize. I just had to write a review for this location as I can sincerely say that this Starbucks, which I have been going to for a week now, makes HANDS DOWN the BEST version of my drink I've ever had! Since 2012, I have been getting this exact drink at Starbucks locations--ranging from Virginia to California--on a regular basis. We like coming to this location before going to workout or the cinema. The staff are very friendly & welcoming. They always have what we are looking for in stock (food & beverages). While they do very good at keeping the restrooms stocked & clean, they could improve in cleaning the tables & sweeping/cleaning floors. My major concern is the homeless people hanging around inside. Their body odor, language, etc. is offensive. Also they leave their shopping carts, backpacks, etc. around the tables outside. This prevents people from using these tables. Some of them bring food & beverages from other places. They hang out here all day to use the WiFi. Since this is a small location, they should be restricted as to how long they can stay, where they leave their belongings and not be permitted on bringing food & beverage from the other places. read more

I had a free drink due to my reward stacked up on my app. I came inside because I didn't want to wait long in the drive thru, and the manager got the register ready to order. She was very prompt and professional. She provided excellent service and was so kind and motivating to her staff due to the stress of being busy non-stop. Driving through Yuma at 10:30 at night, you'd think you'd find a Starbucks open. Nope. I pull up to the drive-thru and am told by the mystery voice on the other end that they're closed. They've been closed since 10. Ugh, I still have about 3 more hours of driving time and I'm super duper tired. I tell said mystery voice my dilemma & ask him if there is another Starbucks open this late. He tells me there is one but it's across town. Just want I want to do, drive off the beaten path. I'm about to cry and I say "I just wanted a chai latte". I hear this voice ask me "What size?". WHAT?? It turns out the mystery voice is attached to the cutest guy that makes me my chai latte! AND, because the registers were already closed I get it for free!! Suddenly my night isn't so bad and since my birthday was in 2 days, I got an early present! Fast forward a couple days and I'm driving back through Yuma again. It's before 10:00 so I decide to stop at what will forever be known as "My favorite Yuma Starbucks". The nicest girl ever makes my chai latte and I tell her about my previous visit. She agrees that he is a really sweet guy and she's happy I had something to wake me up. Then she makes my experience even better by producing 2 dog treats for my puppy. Show my dog some love and we're best friends! (I still can't figure out why the poor girl would move from San Diego to Yuma of all places! Poor girl.) Yuma is no longer a desolate, gas-up-only spot for me. A little over a year ago, this Starbucks was my final stop on a beautiful, 4 day motorcycle trip throughout the SouthWest U.S. I don't remember what I ordered, probably just coffee and the sinful egg/sausage english muffin sandwich, but more importantly, I left a personal item in the parking lot after my visit, and rode back to San Diego, only to remember it when I got home. I called the staff here, and they mailed it back to me promptly at their expense. This Starbucks is a full-service Starbucks, meaning that it is an actual Starbucks cafe and not a kiosk or a small Starbucks shop within a supermarket. I've decided to give it three stars because the place is dirty and the staff is not able to maintain it clean because it is is understaffed during the shop's peak hours. The customer service was great though, and the staff was friendly and courteous. Since this Starbucks is located near one of Yuma's main highways, during peak hours, the place is frequented by folks passing through, local students, and the local community folks too.
