This was my first time visiting Starbucks at 11 E Central St Worcester, MA 01605 and it is conveniently located right off of I-290 next to Mezcal Tequila Kitchen. Starbucks has a drive-thru and plenty of parking spots. I walked in and ordered a venti iced Caramel Macchiato. It was ready in no time and service was friendly. They even wrote "Have a nice day" on my cup. There are plenty of tables inside. read more

Waited in the drive thru for 10+ minutes before even being acknowledged. (I was literally the only person in line!) Over the intercom the girl was laughing and joking with someone. When it was finally my time to speak, she was not paying attention to my simple order, I had to repeat it 3 times only for her to tell me she didn't have that item (it was a hot chocolate). The service here is usually decent but who ever they had on at the Wednesday 3:30p staff was the absolute worst, really unprofessional. TLDR: Drive-thru only even for mobile orders. I love Starbucks and East Central Street used to be my go to. Recently though they have closed the cafe and you can only get your drinks through drive thru even when you order ahead. We were reading the sign on the door one time (which reads "Drive Thru Only" Call this number for a refund) and the two baristas at the door acted like we were criminals trying to break in to the cafe. I get it. Hiring is tough but I strongly feel this cafe should shut down mobile order ahead if they don't offer it. Your only choices are to wait half an hour in line or ask for a refund. read more

This location used to be amazing, they even had their own social media page showing off all the drive thru dogs. Now it's just sad. I ordered ahead on my work break and drove to the location to pick up my order. I noticed the drive thru line wrapped around the building so that already made me nervous like why is it so busy? I go to park and notice five signs saying the cafe inside is closed, drive thru only, short staffed, if you ordered ahead too bad, you're going to have to wait in the drive thru line to get your order, if you don't want to wait here's a number to get refunded. So yeah...Ummm... what do y'all think order ahead means? If anything, turn the mobile order ahead option off on the app? Note: I purposely waited to come here a few times before I wrote a review So every time I've come here, it looks like a tornado came through the store: always dirty, trash on the floor, everything just looks like a disaster. It must be understaffed or something. However, today, there were 5 people behind the counter and only ONE making drinks. One was at the register. And the other 3 were talking or just walking around not helping. This isn't the first time I've witnessed this situation here. I've worked at Starbs for about a year, and I remember busting my ass to be a good worker, whether it was taking out trash or brewing coffee. If I worked here, there would be no messes or disappointed customers. Also, this location is somehow more expensive than the other one across town. I literally order an iced coffee and add my own milk and somehow this one charges more. I don't understand. Change needs to happen here. Sorry, Starbs! As a West LA gal, I was super excited to find a SBUX in Worcester! No offense to the locals but I really cannot stomach Dunkin Donuts. This place is right off the freeway which is great and easy to get to. Their parking lot is set up a little strange and you almost have to go around to park in the back or opposite side. The great thing is that they have a drive-thru which definitely came in handy when it was raining the last time I was there! On my first visit they overcooked my egg white sandwich but I didn't see it until I got to the office and tried to eat it. I went back the next day and let the cashier know. They gave me a free sandwich that day, no questions asked and waited for me to inspect it to make sure it was okay. Great customer service! read more

I grew up in washington. I prefer Starbucks drastically compared to Dunkin. The food is better, I prefer the drinks, and even though my work has me posting here between calls all the time I will no longer be coming to this location. The girl at the counter on Mondays hasn't been given proper training, can't find things on the menu, and the last two times I have been there she tried to put the wrong order in for me. Last time one of the employees who has actual experience saw the problem and was able to give me what I wanted, which I really appreciate. Today, I went in again, and the same girl behind the counter not only gave me the wrong drink but whoever made it didn't put in any syrup. If it was just the once, okay, newbies take a while to learn where everything is. But the Same Problem after two weeks? I'm just really disappointed in this company for not properly training their employees, and I'm not going back someplace where I now consistently get the wrong order. read more

I have been going here for a while now. Normally everything is fine. But one thing they should not be doing it putting people's straws in there cups for them. We ask for them not to put any straw in our iced drinks but they still do. Unfortunately this is a health issue. With cold and flu season here and people touching money they should not be touching straws or anything that goes into a drink. Regardless how clean they think they are. This is the only Starbucks I go to that does this. Let's face it they can hand a straw to people just like Dunkin's does. Loved this Starbucks! Usually I grab my tea or sandwich and I am out, but I decided to stay. The staff were so friendly and welcoming I ended up staying almost until closing sipping tea and using their free wifi. I loved the musuc--everuthing from new age, to punk rock, to blues was playing over the speakers. It allowed me to jam out while working on my homework and mellow out too. I definitely would come back to this Statbucks when I need to do homework or just chill out. I never felt rushed to leave or pressure to purchase more food or drinks. Also, one of the staff members watched my belongings when I needed to go to the restroom and she was so nice about doing this for me. I also loved that with your gold membership you get free refills of coffee or tea--so sip as long as you want to!! I will definitely be back! read more

A solid experience. The baristas are very friendly and there is plenty of space to do work or chat it up. More impressively, many of the baristas are capable of some serious multitasking. I recall a few instances where ONE barista is making a patron's venti-foamy-half caff-soy-splenda-somersault-YOLO-hokie pokie-pumpkin spice latte order while taking another's drive through over their headsets and not miss a beat. I sometimes wonder if the ultimate goal of this establishment is to test the full mental capacity of a single human being. That, or these are proving grounds for WPI's latest humanoid robots. Worst starbucks i've ever been to. I always pre order online and everytime it says it will be ready by a certain time and it's not ready till about 25 minutes later. The service is awful and the people working have no sense of urgency. I always ask for light ice as well and they fill it up to the top with ice. Would not reccomend coming here. read more

I frequent many Starbucks locations and this location is average. The speed of service in store is compromised by the drive thru when not in the peak periods so expect a brief wait indoors even if no one appears to be in front of you. The Baristas are friendly and the store seems relatively clean. The location so close to the hospital is nice so you aren't stuck with the DD in their atrium. read more

This is the closest one so I wish it was better. I get the wrong order about 20% of the time. I pass this one each day and stop at one near my work :( It has a drive through, but I always go in when I do go there. I want to look them in the eye when I try it so I can give them the head shake when it is the wrong order :) The staff is always very nice and the location is awesome, right downtown. Normally this place would be a 5 stars for me, but today I was pretty upset by the service I received. I come here regularly to get my espresso drink mixed with white mocha over ice. This morning I specifically ordered this drink and asked if it would count for happy hour after 3pm (buy 1 get 1 free mixed espresso drink) and the very nice man at the window asked his manager and came back to tell me that it would count. So I came back at 4pm to order the drink and asked if I get a free one also, and was told my drink didn't count. I wasted 10 minutes in the drive thru line to be told I couldn't get the free drink even after coming back a second time today! Not a happy customer at all. Even the nice young man at the drive thru window apologized and acknowledged that the manager agreed this morning so he didn't know why it didn't count now. I drove off without making too much of a big fuss. Next time, please be more consistent with what you tell your customers. read more
