This Starbucks location is newly renovated--at least I hadn't checked it out since the update--and it's giving total downtown city vibes. I'm all here for it! The inside is really cozy, too. I got an iced vanilla latte with protein cold foam, and it was made to perfection. Also love that they give out their used coffee grounds for gardening. Such a great touch! read more

I always love going to Starbucks! But, this one is extra special. Everyone was super nice. The place was sparkling clean. There was limited seating. But, it was a super cute location! I love this location so much! It's so charming. From the moment that I walked in, I was greeted with a big smile and immediately helped. It was so refreshing to feel welcomed! I then ordered my usual iced caramel macchiato with blonde roast. It was one of the best drinks that I've ever had in my life! It was the perfect combination of sweet, nutty, creamy, and delicious! I was so happy that I stopped in for a drink. It's a rare occasion that they are made so well that I smile the entire time. I will definitely be back! read more

The previous Starbucks shop was a little one just across the street that could barely handle all the customer traffic that wanted to patronize it. Small and comfortable Starbucks on the corner near the train station. Street parking only so you're going to have that challenge if you're spending a lot of time here. And from what I could see, it looks like quite a few people spend time here. There are not many tables and the few that there are, are occupied by the laptop crowd. I'm very disappointed by my experience at this location. I walked in to order a drink and was browsing their ceramic cup display and saw nice design that I've been eyeing for a while and was excited to see it on clearance. Well as I'm picking up the cup and my husband is browsing at other cups, one of their staff members was very rude to us. She told us that if we wanted something from the display we needed to ask her for it. No where on the display was there a sign saying not touch anything. My husband and I were very upset with her rude tone. Had there been a sign saying not to touch anything we would've respected it. How are we to know to ask her for something? If they didn't want anyone touching anything they should've taken the display down or stick a sign so people know. Needless to say we won't be coming to this location again. Very unfortunate because it's walking distance from our in-laws apartment and we are from out of state so we don't know the area very well. read more

Just moved into town and went here for the first time. Saw that they had real coffee cups on the shelf, so I asked for my coffee in one. The useless guy behind the counter said he couldn't do it. "To go cups only". I asked why since the cups were right there and he said, "covid". I told him other restaurants serve coffee in cups, dinners on plates, water in real glasses, real silverware. Even another coffee shop in town served real cups. The guy was just being a dick. Starbucks is so far from their original atmosphere, they should just have drive-thru serve by robots. read more

This is probably the worst Starbucks in Wheaton (since we have at least four, I feel that I can say that.) I'm not going to comment on the menu, since it's the same at every Starbucks. This location is very small. There are only a few tables inside and you basically walk down a narrow aisle along the coffee bar. It gets crowded very quickly, but there isn't good crowd control. The staff seems easily flustered and does not handle the crowds well. I was here on a crowded morning and saw 4+ drinks be messed up while waiting for my mobile order to be ready. Everything from using the wrong type of milk to the barista telling a woman "I know you ordered a green tea, but we thought you wanted a green tea latte. But then we messed up and made you a green tea frappucino so here that is." I was SHOCKED by this transaction. On top of that, I didn't get the cream cheese with my bagel. A relatively small thing, but given Starbucks' normal commitment to quality, I was not happy. read more

Amazing service. The people probably know me. I go all of the time. It is a bit small but the staring area never usually has anyone in it.

This Starbucks is pretty small with limited seating. I always feel a little squished inside here since it's always so crowded and they don't have many big tables that you can comfortably sit and do work at. But the workers definitely work hard to meet your needs and are super polite and greet you when you enter or exit their store! One thing I'm not a huge fan of is how loud they play their music--if you're looking to come here to study or get some work done it might be a little distracting. It's hard to even listen to my own music with earphones in unless you're good at tuning out background noise. They accommodate so many different customers from babies to teenage groups to professional work meetings. They usually always have all my drink ingredients available so I'm able to get whatever I'm craving, and their pastries are so tempting wheneve I look at them. It's hard to not buy them while waiting in line to order! read more

I like this place because it's Starbucks, and as much as I like to use my dollar vote in favor of local, independent shops and roasters, I can't help but love the taste of this coffee giant. This location in particular is always lively. The only downside, for me, is that it's very difficult to navigate from the front door on front street to the back of the line. There's just enough room between the counter and the tables for a single file line, and squeezing through with one or two little people in tow is not an easy feat. I know, I know, just use the side door. But sometimes I forget. Also, if you have a stroller or wheelchair and need to use the accessible side door (or the restroom), you need to work your way back through the aforementioned line. read more

Worst Starbucks experience ever! After I placed my order, I was told by the barista that she'd bring the order outside to me because dogs weren't allowed in the store. Overall a great Starbucks with great coffee (wouldn't expect anything less). A little small and cramped on the inside as it's in a older building - so it's different than a lot of other Starbucks. One side note: As I was sitting sipping my iced vanilla latte, I saw an employee coming onto his shift, grabbed a NYT and went into the bathroom. So last week I didn't even make it in the door because the line was so long. This week, I was in the area again and I decided that it was time to have coffee or hostages might be taken. The space is tiny. The building is cute and all but for the location, this is a Starbucks that could do well to be maybe like double the size it it. Go in the door on the northwest side, not the one that faces the tracks, because if there is a line, and it seems like there always is, the end of it will be at the northwest door and getting through the the throng at the register is kind of obnoxious. So yeah - cramped, to say the least, and if you don't want to be be smushed, you might look for somewhere else to get your coffee on. That said, the folks working here seemed super nice and offered to remake my iced coffee when they didn't leave much room in it. I didn't need them to do that, though the thought was a nice one. And even though the line was long, it moved fairly quickly, which was nice as I figured I'd be waiting a lot longer than I did. read more

This Starbucks has great customer service, but is not a good place to hang out. The location is very central in downtown Wheaton and LOTS of people come here. You can get claustrophobic when it is really busy. There are not many seats, so if you plan to hang out, realize that you might not get a seat. If you want to work on your laptop, walk up the block to the Wheaton Public Library. They have some study areas that allow beverages. read more

The staff here is great and there is a very neighborly feel from the regulars that come here. Yes, everything they serve is just like any other Starbucks. Do not come here as there is no parking. It's not worth it to circle around and walk far for this location. The railroad is nearby so do not double park or you will cause serious traffic problems and lead to unsafe situations. There is also very limited seating as the waiting line is very narrow. You cannot sit more than 2 to a table and if there is 3 of you, you'll block the ordering line. read more

The staff is fantastic. I really like when they take your name for the cup assignments. Makes picking up my drink a whole lot easier. Being in a downtown setting is nice and Wheaton has free parking in its garages which is very pleasant. However, I have to give it three-stars because it is so very stinkin small. I kept bumping into a guy talking to someone at a table by the register. I then had to squeeze around (and holding it while i passed so I didn't knock it over) the gift card display to get by other customers and get my drink. Second, the Wi-fi is abysmal. Surfing is fine but a video is nearly impossible to watch. In a place that has to be no more than 900 square feet, I only have a 75% signal strength. Service is always super friendly, all the baristas are great. Coming here at around 2:30/3:00 during the school year is a bad idea though, because that's when all the students (including myself) are here and there's rarely seating during that time. Not a lot of parking nearby so that can be a bit unreliable, and when freight trains go by it gets really, really loud. I admit that I miss the booth seats since they've remodeled.
