Finally was able to stop by to check it out! And i live close by. For a rainy day, it was pretty busy in there. I love that there's a lot of space inside....including a little fireplace by the front. You can go and catch up with friends or just go to do some work. There's books & games available. I also love that there's merch as well! The menu has different varieties of drinks to choose from & it works! It isn't too overwhelming. I went with the Moon Shaken, which I chose quad espresso with moon milk....over ice. It was perfect!! Definitely will be back again to try other drinks as well. But I of course, have my go to drink already after my first time. Also, they have a drive thru! How convenient!

Ohhh I LOOOOVE Summer Moon. This is a great addition to Wheaton area. The space is sophisticated and beautiful. Not too casual and not too fancy. It's a great spot for a coffee catch up with a friend or bring your laptop, book, etc, and stay for a while. I stopped in on a Friday around 1:30pm and it was busy. Staff members were friendly and did a great job of keeping up with in person orders as well as mobile orders. The first time I went in I tried a seasonal drink, blueberry coconut matcha latte and it was tasty! A little too sweet for me, but looking at the name.. I should have known better, it clearly sounds like a drink that will be on the sweeter side. I had a few sips of my husband's vanilla bee chai latte and I enjoyed that too. Again, a little too sweet, but with the added vanilla - obviously that would be the case. The 2nd time I came in (2 days in a row) I tried the 1/4 winter moon latte. This latte is absolute perfection. Sweet and not overly sweet, creamy, and oh so delicious. I will probably try the 1/8 latte as well and decide which will be my go to.

What a great addition to the Wheaton area! Located near the Danada shopping center, this is the perfect coffee spot to grab a drink on the go, catch up with friends, or work remote. The inside aesthetic directly aligns with their other locations I've visited but feels a lot more open and airy. There's a good amount of seating inside and this location even offers a drive thru! When visiting, I tried the Banana Nut Muffin and featured Blueberry Crisp Latte. The latte had really good flavor and was the perfect temperature. Their signature "moon milk" does add a hood flavor to the drink making it richer and frothy. The Banana Nut Muffin was a good size, they were kind to warm it up for me, and give me butter on the side. Staff were kind, good at explaining the menu, and making recommendations. It was very busy but staff was pumping out drinks so the wait wasn't too long. Definitely give this new Summer Moon location a try!

Summer Moon never disappoints! Both locations (old town and now, Mays) are amazing, the staff is incredible, and of course, the Moon Milk coffee is the best... no matter how much we all tried to copy the Moon milk at home, there is nothing like having it in person, made from the real deal. I have to say hanging out at their newest location is most fun no or preferred. The size is quite significant compared to the one in old town. There are many more places to hang out with peers, work on your laptop, chat with a friend, seating options... Including the outside area. So, if I had to choose for the sake of high ceilings, fresh air, and just a lot more elbow room (or feeling like I'm at the silo in Waco, Texas)...I would choose the location on May. But again overall, both are just the yummiest ever!

RUN don't walk to Summer Moon Coffee. I first discovered this gem in South Carolina, having experienced the best iced mocha of my life and became an instant fan girlie. Oak roasted coffee?! Who knew?! Once I got home to the land of Lincoln, that mocha lived in my head, rent free. I had (and DID) drive to KENOSHA WI or McHenry IL as they were the closest locations. Yes, I drove that far for coffee. It's THAT GOOD. Now the coffee gods have smiled upon us my friends. You don't have to journey for the best coffee around--it's right in our neck of the woods. Rejoice! And raise a mocha moon to cheers our very own local Summer Moon Coffee!

Really cute spot inside! I saw they were newly opened and decided to check it out. They even have their own merch by the ordering area, which was a nice touch. I also liked that they offer games if you want to hang out, plus a mini library--it gives the place a cozy, welcoming vibe. Everything looked clean and well put together. I ordered a decaf iced Summer Moon latte (lavender with another flavor), which was just okay--not bad, but nothing super memorable. I also got an everything bagel with cream cheese, toasted, and that was also just okay. Service was quick, and everything came out pretty fast, which I appreciated. I'd come back to try one of their dessert items next time.

This place is so cute inside with plenty of space to work from with outlets on some tables. Coffee was good and at a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. The only downside was that they only served coffee and some baked goods, no breakfast sandwiches or salads. Great place if you're looking for a cute spot of coffee or tea. There is a Jimmy John's a few doors down if you're hungry.

So glad Summer Moon has opened nearby! I stopped by during the soft launch and the staff was wonderful! They gave suggestions and explained their offerings and the differences in their coffee roasts. I was impressed for a soft launch and training week. I ordered the Blue moon and it was PERFECTION the coffee is smooth and it had just the right amount of lavender. The decor is lovely, if you loved caribou coffee back in the day, this feels like the modern lake house version. The cozy chairs and the fireplace are the perfect place to meet up with some friends or grab your laptop and get some work done. Don't even get me started on the adorable cow stoppers!

Packed on a Sunday morning and service was still excellent. Gorgeous, open space. Seems like they have great merch. The Cinnamon Latte done Summer Moon style was delicious. The iced dirty vanilla chai was okay at best. Not enough chai or sweetness. Would definitely have to get that one Summer Moon style as well next time.

This place is brand new and has excellent coffee!! It has a very unique oak roasted taste and they are famous for their special moon milk. I had the half moon latte and it was perfection. They have fun, creative drinks in addition to standard coffee options. The place is SPACIOUS with a ton of indoor seating in addition to a drive thru. We went on Saturday morning and it was insanely busy. I'm assuming because it's new it'll continue to be busy. I'd recommend going during off hours to avoid the line. Otherwise, it is worth it! Staff were friendly and hard at work. I just really love their aesthetic and would totally go to meet a friend there. They also have fun games and books available to their customers. It seemed pretty kid friendly with a lot of families. We'll be back! Their marketing team does a really good job and they seem quite active on socials.

I ordered a double shaken moon shaker over ice and an iced green tea. Both drinks were good. Espresso was nice and strong. Great tea was crisp and yummy. The staff was super nice and helpful with my questions. It's a cute little spot. Spaces to work at with a laptop or hangout by the fireplace. There is also a little bookshelf with games and books to enjoy while hanging out. Decently priced. I woulda paid way more at another coffee shop

I'm glad I waited because my options expanded to the entire menu, not just a one-off veggie dish!! Everything me and my partner tried was delicious. The service was so welcoming, kind, and hospitable. The place was nearly empty when we arrived and got a couple more tables during our stay. There was music on and off. It didn't feel air conditioned. To meat eaters: I understand the letdown of the menu you once loved changing drastically, and I know, who are you to trust me... but please don't write Luong Loi off completely. Maybe for one of the times when you go out to eat or order food, you can try doing veggie and support this lovely place. :-) For the appetizer, we were recommended the Mushroom Pani Puri. It was savory, great textures, with a very tiny bit of spice. For my partner's entree, he got the Fresh Rice Noodle with Crispy Rolls & Vegan Ribs. He loved it. I tried the vegan rib and it was delicious! For my entree, I got the Half-Moon Tofu Fried Rice with Vegetables & Vegan Sausage. This was so yum, great combo of flavors, savory and smokey, and the eggy crispy tofu was really great! Drink: Vietnamese coffee with sweetened condensed milk, brewed at our table with a Vietnamese phin filter that's placed over the cup. Stirred and poured over ice for a cold drink. This was nearly identical to how I make/prefer coffee at home, so it was PERFECTION.

Vegans, vegetarian, and gluten-free diners will have no problem finding plenty of delicious choices here. You can request seating closer to the bar if you want to enjoy the music while dining. Otherwise, the window seats are nice if you're looking for something quieter, restaurant lighting is dim. They're also able to modify some dishes to be gluten free. The Poached Pear Salad was light and refreshing, GF if you omit the goat cheese "crouton." Though if you like goat cheese, it looked delectable, perfectly cooked. It's more like a small fried goat cheese patty (almost like a mozzarella stick). The risotto was well cooked, but nothing particularly memorable in terms of flavor or components (bacon, mushroom, pesto, parmesan butter). The cassoulet was bursting with flavor. They offer both a small and larger portion. The small is really just a few bites of duck, so if you're looking for something more filling, definitely go with the larger size, which feels closer to a standard entrée. You can omit the panko breadcrumbs to make it gluten free. The guava sorbet was a refreshing way to end the meal, served as a trio of scoops and a cookie (not GF). Portion sizes overall are just okay, as you're unlikely to have leftovers. Unless you order apps, an entrée, and dessert, you may not leave completely full. Drink-wise, they have cocktails, beers, one cider on tap (GF), and wine options. The Mint Julep (bourbon based) was strong, simple, and surprisingly tasty. Service was fine overall, though one gentleman stood out for being especially attentive and friendly (wish we caught his name). I chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner going on my actual birthday. Friends of ours joined us for dinner. I chose to sit in the lounge area next to the bar, which is a smaller space than the dining room, more intimate. I enjoyed that space. There's a couple couches in front of a fireplace perfect to enjoy an after dinner drink. My friends brought a couple bottles of wine so we didn't order any cocktails or wine from the restaurant. Their corkage fee is $25 a bottle. The four of us started with appetizers to share. The deviled eggs were creamy and delicious. The charcuterie board was good but could've had another cheese on the board to match the three meats on the board. It was served with perfectly grilled baguette. The special appetizer for the evening was morel mushrooms. I love morel mushrooms, but these lacked flavor and the portion was small. That was a miss for me. For dinner, my husband had the crispy chicken milanese, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The chicken was topped with arugula, capers, manchego cheese, tomatoes. I opted to have a Caesar salad and the Spanish octopus appetizer for my dinner. Our server Carmen, who was so engaging and provided good service, said that the octopus was outstanding. He was right! It was the best octopus I ever had. Tender and flavorful. The owner stopped by our table to see if we were enjoying everything. I told him I didn't like the octopus at all and the chef needed to make me another one pronto, but he didn't buy it. I tried! It was noted on our reservation that it was my birthday and my friends bought a bouquet of flowers so it was pretty obvious, but the restaurant did not acknowledge it with a little dessert at the end of the meal. That was disappointing since I chose this place specifically to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant should make note when people are there to celebrate, do a little something special to mark the occasion. All in all, I still love this restaurant it would recommend it.
