The Waianae location doesn't have a drive through. It was closed for an extensive period due to Covid. They've reopened with two drive up stalls on the Burger King side of the building. Order from the app, click arrived and what stall you're in and someone will walk out with your purchase. Wonderful! Why haven't they been doing this all along? The drive up line for the Nanakuli Starbucks is always so long. read more

No complaints here. Didn't see many cars outside but when I went in there was quite a group of people waiting for their orders. But no worries because the workers here must be pros because they were able to pump out the drinks so fast that the wait wasn't even noticeable. The order came out correct and tasted great. Will definitely be back. read more

Idk what it is about this Starbucks but they have thee slowest workers. For one they have zero customer service, no one tells you hi! So we mobile order a cake pop. It old us about 7 minutes didn't mind still driving thru maili reached Starbucks, no one in line to order, no one waiting for drinks so I figure it's slow won't be long need I remind you I got there way after the time the app said it would take...... No my cake pop was not ready so I wait, now there's a line of 6 to 7 people waiting to order. So an older male comes out to help I guess, so I ask about the mobile order waiting. He proceeds to grab orders that was placed on the side and starts yelling names, then rudely passes my order that apparently was sitting!! Need I remind you he didn't hand it nicely either! So apparently an apology wasn't necessary either! read more

We have visited many a Starbucks on Oahu and the mainland. I will say that the Waianae Starbucks is the best. Hands down. Service is super fast. Employees take their jobs seriously and finish orders as quick as they come in. Always pleasantries with the staff, and any issues or mistakes, or even last minute add-ons are never a problem. Inside is always clean. They used to have a bigger seating area until covid hit. Now, there is just enough. This may seem like a hidden gem, but everybody on the West side knows this place is special. Try visit during a busy time. You will hear the staff talking with the people by their first names. Sometimes you wanna go, where everybody knows your naaame.... read more

I'll miss the ambiance of this particular Starbucks when I leave. My daughter and I visit this location every morning to get our drinks, and we are always welcomed with good mornings and smiles. It's a great way to start our day! I've tried going to other Starbucks locations, but I don't receive the same level of kindness, especially early in the morning. Therefore, I wake up earlier just to make it to this Starbucks. Although no one likes early mornings, my daughter has commented that the staff at this Starbucks are the nicest, and we will continue to be their customers until we leave the island. read more

Traveling for work, and got to stay in Waianae for a few months. The staff here is awesome, a few of the Baristas actually greeted me by my name when I came in only after a few visits! Sometimes it's the little things that can make my day, on an island where nobody knows me I guess a few people do know me haaaa! Food and beverage is pretty standard for Starbucks. Until we meet again Waianae Starbucks! read more

Went in to get my usual cold brew vanilla coffee on Sunday, when I seen someone who probably was a manager pressing money on workers face. This type of treatment is absurd that is someone's daughter and that is no way to treat a human being. It doesn't take much to just be a good person. read more

I never write reviews on anything but I hate hearing/seeing people get pushed around and treated badly by people in leadership positions who feel like they are on top of the world (Cricket-the manager). I hate bully's!!! I am sick and tired of the way the manager, (Cricket) treats her employees. Most of them are scared to report her because they have families to support and or have school paid for through Starbucks and don't want to get fired and lose it all. I don't fall under any of those circumstances, but if I was then I'd probably be scared as well. Since I'm not, I'm going ahead and seeking appropriate actions for them because justice needs to be served! That manager does not deserve to be in that position at all! She doesn't even deserve to work there the way she handles things and the way she treats her employees. I'm pretty sure those aren't the Starbucks standards......From talking down on them on their religious beliefs/ relationship status/ all the way to forms of sexual assault!! Yes I said what I said. There is no reason you should be putting your hands on an employee and being touchy with them if they did not give you permission to(makes them feel real uncomfortable) Now if she was a man doing those things to your daughter/spouse/friend how would you feel?!? It makes no difference what you are, THAT ISN'T RIGHT!! Hopefully after posting this review this gets brought to the light and something can actually happen for once because that manager does not deserve to be in that position at all! If not, then legal action is the next way go. Thank you for your time. read more

This location all the way on the west side is super nice and professional !! NEL always helps me with a smile and quick service. I love the smell of coffee in the place. I've been going to the west side a lot more often recently for a class I am taking though UH. I'm therefore expected to be alive, awake, alert and enthusiastic after my 1 hour drive from town at 7:00 in the morning. This obviously can't happen without coffee. One time, we had class in nanakuli and I needed coffee. This is a nice Starbucks. There is plenty of parking and there were several workers which made the line really fast. They have all the goodies Starbucks offers like packages chips and snacks, refrigerated food like paninis and cakes and of course, all the drinks. I grabbed an iced coffee and a breakfast sandwich and was good to go! The workers were friendly and I believe there is a restroom. There are also a few tables and it's nice and cool inside. read more

Truthfully I'm not much of a coffee person only when need to. Of course during my visits to the Starbucks in Waianae I always tend to order hot chocolate. Looking at the display case and I notice that there are other items I can order. Butter croissant and blueberry yogurt muffin should satisfy my hunger after working graveyard shift at a 24 hour convenience store. Each visit to Starbucks is a experience of its own. Being helped by different baristas. One male barista who likes to use the register as a drum...I observed him making drinks for other customers as well as cleaning the outside store windows. Another male barista coming to work in that "I just got up and forgot to comb my hair" look....I observed him being friendly to the customers, wiping down the tables, as well as making sure that the sugar, creamers, napkins, and wooden stirrers are filled. The female baristas are always friendly and they work as a team. In fact just this morning March 18, 2015 I noticed that one of the female employees was on top of a ladder getting ready to change a light bulb when another female employee holds that ladder to make sure that it is stable. Customers of Starbucks either mind their own business or tend to greet other customers that they know. I seen a few of my customers of the 24 hour convenience store while I was enjoying my light breakfast at Starbucks. I even seen one of my high school classmates getting her drink before she headed off to work. I witnessed a few customers set up their laptop computer to make use of the free wi-fi. One customer even bought his cordless phone (not a cellphone) to use while sitting at the table. I'm deducting one star because of the restroom facility. it's understandable that a customer needs a code to access the restroom. What I don't get is that whoever used the restroom last forgot to flush the toilet. Don't know if it was a customer or employee....but if you going to do a #2 then please flush the toilet before you leave the restroom facility...it's just disgusting. Other than that....the restroom was very clean. There was soap and paper towel provided for the customer use. Overall my experience at Starbucks was above average. It would be better if the baristas check up on the restroom facility after each customer uses it. Make sure that there's no surprise waiting in the toilet. read more

Since I was on my way to meet up with a friend, I decided to stop in at this location, since I haven't been here in a very long time. I usually frequent the downtown or kapolei locations. I got here and it wasn't very busy and the girls were really nice. I was able to put in my order and get my drink in 5 minutes...yay!! The place was nice and clean and perfect for meeting up with an old friend, since he was in the neighborhood. I'll need to come to this location more often. But, since this location opened up on the west side, I haven't had any complaints. The staff is always friendly and the place is usually very clean. read more

I was so disappointed when I went to the Waianae Starbucks last Friday, 03/24/23, early afternoon. In trying not spend on things I don't need, but I decided to treat myself. However, my iced caramel macchiato was horrible. When I got home I threw it out. The ingredients was off, the coffee tasted bitter old and just NASTY, SHAME ON YOU. Enjoying your music-Hawaiian! It's rare to hear so please continue this type of music track in your store often. Besides grabbing a cup of coffee, I go to Starbucks to study. And when I study, I usually spend about 4 to 6 hours there. That means I'm buying at least 2-3 drinks and a whole lot from the bakery and lunch goods just to keep myself up. Not sure why but this Starbucks decided to cover all of their electrical outlets but I uess I won't be spending my money here. Update: Barista said it was a corporate decision to cover outlets because they don't want people loitering there. Guess they don't understand that if you provide a place for people to conduct business or study then that equates to more time being spent at the store = more money spent. read more

Just leaving an update because my previous one is pretty old. This Starbucks still impresses me, has nicer staff than I expected and makes everything on-point as far as I've experienced. The only issue is the homeless and chronics that continually frequent the area, (I was scared to park my car because of one that looked like he was surveying cars) and it's not the venues fault. My problem is not with homeless in general, but the fact that many of them take up tables and outlets when they haven't purchased anything. (I've witnessed it many times.) Some guy will come in with his cart, never make an order, sit down at the table with outlets, pull out an empty Starbucks cup to pretend that he ordered something and then set up his laptop. That's exactly what the person did that's sitting a table down from me. If I were working, I probably wouldn't have the heart to tell these people to leave either. The whole thing just kind of sucks and is a lose-lose situation. Just know that this is a characteristic of the area and of our society and that sometimes there's not much employees can do. I can't blame them for not kicking anyone out. For the most part they don't bother anyone, just a heads up though if you're hoping for a table with outlets. There are few available and at least two or three may be taken up by homeless at times. read more

I love KAHALA MALL STARBUCKS! Out of all the different locations I frequent because I'm on the road, this location is the best!! Why you ask? Friendly staff! They can get busy but they're fast... so the wait isn't long at all. They usually are fully stocked and don't run out of baked/deli items. My daughter loves to go there for cake-pop treats. Most Starbucks are out of cake-pops by mid-day... but this location usually has cake-pops still by late afternoon. The store is clean and atmosphere is relaxing like all the other Starbucks.. I feel that it's easier to study at this location rather than others.. some of the other locations are louder with all the people talking... but if you'd like to get away from the city, this Starbucks is ideal for studying/meeting at. read more
