You can pull up and park right in front on Court St. and run in because they have reserved parking just for pick up orders. The Avocado Toast is delish and my coffee is always a 10/10. And knowing that a portion of my money goes to support the Rescue Mission makes coming here even better.

Although they offer pastries, cookies, bagels, and breakfast items, I wasn't hungry, but I was definitely tempted. The cashiers were nice, helpful, and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were doing. The coffee was really good, but what I enjoyed most was the atmosphere. The shop is in an old building with high ceilings and large windows. There are different seating areas with tables, couches, and large stuffed chairs, and the space is decorated with vintage items. As I sat there, I realized it is called "Mission Coffee" for a reason: everything sold at the café supports the Visalia Rescue Mission. There were signs showing the number of meals and showers they have provided. Along with having a really good coffee shop experience, it felt good knowing that my purchase was supporting a meaningful cause.

Interestingly there was only one employee working when we visited and I watched in amazement as she took orders and prepared everything. Our drinks took 25 minutes to complete and we were the first group in line. *Mochi Donut: there were seasonal flavors and the employee was kind enough to explain the different flavors as the names were a bit abstract. I opted for the spring donut which was white chocolate and matcha. The texture was the best I've tried. Perfectly bouncy in the center with a light exterior. It wasn't too oily nor sweet and the glaze was subtle. Despite the description, I couldn't really differentiate the white chocolate and matcha from a standard glaze. *Spring Fruit Tea: described as a passionfruit and rose tea. Disappointedly, neither flavor was prominent. The tea was steeped well but this was missing some brightness. *Creme Brulee: very sweet but fragrant. This was rich and milky with strong notes of burnt cream. However, we got less sugar for this and it was still too sweet. If there was an option to lower the sugar even more, I would opt for that. The milk based drinks tasted better than the fruit ones. If I was in a rush, I would stick to the donuts but drinks were pretty good if you don't mind the wait.

We have been three different times, and every visit has been consistent. So far we have tried: * Hallelujah * Almond Joy * Amazing Grace We have ordered them hot and iced. Every single drink has been made perfectly. The temperature is right. The flavor is balanced. The coffee is smooth. Nothing tastes rushed or overly sweet. What truly makes this place special is the team. The ladies who work there are kind, upbeat, and welcoming. They are always smiling. They bring energy into the space. You feel appreciated the moment you drive up. We have asked for small tweaks to our drinks, and they are always happy to adjust without hesitation. That level of service matters. This has officially become our favorite stop in Visalia. I have always considered myself a loyal Starbucks customer, but I have been so impressed that I find myself choosing Cup of Joy instead. Great drinks. Consistent quality. Friendly service. We will continue making this our stop every time we are in town.

They were absolutely sweet, super patient with us being first timers, helpful with the drink suggestions and amount of sweetness goes in. Unfortunately the coffee just wasn't that good enough for me to want to make the effort to come back. Ambiance is a small kiosk with two drive thru lanes that lead out into a road where people need to get through to go to the gas station and any local businesses that are nearby. If you don't mind sticking out in the road waiting in line for coffee then more power to you lol cause this place is always busy! Usual fair, white mochas, espresso, drip coffee and a small assortment of pastries to choose from. Side note: The cups have religious based drawings on them, so to anyone who might have a different viewpoint on that, maybe this place is not for you. But to everyone else, i would say if you're in the area and want to try something other than your normal chain coffee spots, give this place a go.
