I found my new favorite drink after I was stumped on what to order for my stars redemption. The barista suggested her favorite combination ~ matcha latte with brown sugar with oat base. That was super delicious! The oat gave a creaminess to the drink and the brown sugar made the drink tasted like the kinako kuromitsu from Tsujiri. A very close dupe. Kudos to the barista for this recommendation. This place is clean and also very busy. It is right smack in the town center for the cluster of condos in the river district. So this is pretty much a focal or meeting point for neighbors and friends or moms group with their kids. Besides indoor seating, there are a few tables outside and there you see people with dogs having a drink. Street parking is available or you can also park underground.

Nice new location in River District. This store is a Reserve one. Parking is available on the side streets. The inside is spacious. Counter is wide, but seating is somewhat limited. There is a S facing patio and garage door, which I imagine is nice during the summers. Staff were friendly. No complaints. The pumpkin latte I had was pretty tasty, even with reduced sugar.

Always friendly staff. Location is clean and not too busy yet as it is located in a newer area.

Firstly, there is parking, just be mindful and respectful to those spots that are reserved for other businesses. Once inside you're greeted by the friendly staff. The menu consists of Mexican favourites as well classic north Canadian eats. Do check out their daily specials too while you're there. There is quite a number of tables so if you have a large group I'm sure they can accommodate. We ended up ordering asada quesadilla, comes with pico de gallo, sour cream and a spicy salsa $20. Iced cafe mocha $6 Iced Spanish latte $6 Coffee was fantastic and the quesadilla was good. I saw some people order the breakfast which looked fantastic! That will definitely be my next order! Honestly I don't think you can go wrong with anything your order there. Go support this small business and enjoy the food!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon, they were out of brew coffee so I got an Americano with Oat Milk…read more(Americano $4.5 + $1 for Oat Milk). I also tried the Chocolate Cream Cheese muffin ($5), it was pretty good but a tad dry. The outside is like a dry Japanese-style cheesecake, and the inside is a regular chocolate cake, but the combo together is quite interesting. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but I do enjoy coffee and need my daily dose, so I did find their coffee overall a bit acidic for my tastes. To each their own. There's a small Specialty Menu on the side that I didn't realize until after I paid, I would want to dry the Espresso Tonic or Orange Espresso. They also sell beans by the cashier. You pay at the cashier, and there's no screen to tip which I appreciate. I personally rather pay for a more expensive cup of coffee than tip, as I usually only sit for 15-30min, and take my own cup/plates away before leaving. Small cafe, about 4 small seats and a few by the bar so it does fill up fast. There's a large parking lot for the plaza, but it's paid parking only. Prices are pretty standard for a small local coffee shop. Overall, I'd recommend this place in Burnaby, walkable for both Royal Oak or Metrotown Skytrain station. It's a cute place to check out if you're ever craving a non-chain coffee shop in Burnaby!

Over the past year and a bit this has become one of our favourite breakfast places. But it is more…read morethan just a place for breakfast or brunch. It is also a fantastic spot to work if you wanna have a café setting because their pastries and bake goods are absolutely fantastic. In fact last year for Christmas, we bought one of their Christmas cake options which proved to be super popular with the family. What I love about this location is the decor. On one side it is a simple industrial warehouse. But it has that post modern feel with all of the live plants. The live plants is what I love and the tall ceiling for the plants to fully grow. Though if they are looking for something else, which could really bring this to the top, it would be to have a fish tank. A fish and or water feature around the massive plant island in the middle of the dinning area would be chefs kiss. Of course, what about the food? From here, I find the food here is excellent. Sometimes the flavour combinations are a little weird. But that's typical for the Vancouver foodie scene. Vancouver food scene is a fusion hybrid of local ingredients mixed with traditions from cultures from other places around the world. But the bottom line is the portions are a good size. The platters in particular are large and would feed a very hungry person. You definitely get your moneys worth. You don't get much table service once you are done with your order. But that is all right because of it size and volume for the amount of people who come through. I am totally happy with the self serve station, which could be enhanced and the large setting with all of the very mature plants. If I would offer advice to anyone it would be this. If you are going to be there on the weekend arrive before 9 AM. People start lining up at 10 to 15 minutes before the store officially opens. Plus I find is easier to take the street parking rather than playing with Faith trying to back out with customers who are not paying attention.

I did get a spoonful of the glorious whipped cream on top of my daughter's mango croissant. $8.50 Heaven. We thought it was worth every penny! The only gluten free item they offered on this day was a chocolate walnut brownie. Rich and pretty satisfying! We didn't mind a bit waiting for our specialty lattes but the flavors were underwhelming. Snow Velvet Latte $6.20 Double shot espresso, regular milk, vanilla syrup, velvet cream, cocoa dusting. My iced 16 ozs dark chocolate mocha was also not a memorable one. In spite of the unsatisfying lattes and lack of GF items, I'm still fond of the energy that fills in this cafe so I'll probably return.
