Awful treatment and I'm pissed. I bought from three Starbucks today and I literally buy daily! I kindly ask for a hott water to warm my latte I just bought. As the last one I just came from had no seat for me to do a few emails. So I came here and planned to buy a bagel too, but they are out. Didn't think I would write a review for a Starbucks, but this is a great location for mobile pick up. I've been going here for the last 3 months, and the customer service has been great! Staff is friendly, the store is clean, and my mobile order is always ready. Looking at past reviews here, I think this location has been working hard on improving. Food and drink is the normal Starbucks standard. Location is in a small shopping center, parking is decent. Seating is limited though. read more

I had a morning spa appointment and thought it would be nice to drop into Starbucks for a quick morning treat. Parking right in front along with tables and chairs. Busy environment not many smiles. No one greeted you walking in. The cashier held her head down the whole time. I stood looking at spread out orders while I held my sandwich ready for purchase but the cashier acknowledged the guy who came the opposite way and approached the register. The employee that helped me was as nice and pleasant as can be. I always get the same Black Pikes at every Starbucks, but the one he served me just did not have the same robust flavor and spark as it usually does. In fact, I usally only need a 1/2 Grande to keep me going all day, but after drinking the entire cup--I actually fell asleep. Subsequent investigation revealed that too much water was added to the coffee and they may have forgot to change out the beans. I called Starbucks headquarters the next day to report this and they were aware of problem. I have written on Yelp about the inconsistencies between Pikes Black between locations and visits. It's because it actually takes a lot of skill, experience, and training to make coffee correctly! Not an easy job. I can tell the difference because when you just drink black coffee you notice subtle differences--they can't hide it with sugars and creams. This location is across the street from the Torrance Hospital and Medical complexes. You will see many nurses and doctors come through here. I did even in the short time I was there. Making it even more critical that the coffee is prepared correctly. Imagine a tired surgeon relying on a Starbucks coffee to perform well during Your surgery and they get a weak coffee--very bad things can happen! Free easy parking right in front. They have some of the longest hours in the Los Angeles area: 4:30 am to 9:30 at night many days because the hospital personnel relies on them. read more

I came in while it was really busy. I'm not sure what happened but my ice vanilla latte with oat milk ended up just being a vanilla latte. The lady did repeat the order to me. I must've missed it because it was so loud. Cam made a hot vanilla latte. And I told him it was supposed to be iced and so he gladly remade it with a smile on his face And I saw him pour regular milk into the latte that was supposed to have oat milk in it I kept apologizing and not sure where the miscommunication happened and he said that it's totally OK and was super kind and remade it again. I personally should have just asked the lady to repeat and made sure it was correct.. that's my fault. But he had zero attitude and was very kind. I feel like it's really easy for workers and high stress situations to come off short and rude. He was nothing but kind and understanding. 5 stars because Cam corrected the order TWICE and did it while being KIND and UNDERSTANDING. Thanks for being awesome Cam! read more

Of the million Starbucks in the world this is another one. Overall, of the million Starbucks in the world this one is pretty good. This is one of the early Starbucks to have arrive in the Southbay. Even though it's been around for a long time, it has stayed clean, modern, and accommodating to its customers. This Starbucks has a nice location. It is located in an outdoor shopping facility. Thus, it has a very large parking lot where parking spaces are easy to access. Plus, you can easily drive into the lot off of either Torrance Boulevard or Hawthorne Boulevard and grab a space. The interior of this Starbucks is well-designed with many tables. The also have nice outdoor seating. The staff here is always nice and friendly. Overall, if you're looking to get what Starbucks has to offer, this is a good place to do just that. read more

Odd that at a time when a recent class action lawsuit was announced they haven't trained their employees to be more aware of shorting people who order drinks...if you look at least a 1/2 inch of my cup is not filled...Hey if I order no foam don't make up for the no foam by not giving me a full cup! First they give me another order and when i realized I was already in my car, I didn't realize right away since it was the same coffee but when I see the pastry I realized it was not mine.
