Worst experience of my life. A major thunderstorm with lightning and rain so hard we could not see our hands in front of our faces. The worker came over and demanded we leave the store because the electricity had gone out. We asked if we could stay just a few minutes to see if the rain would slow down. He said "No! You must leave now!" Then showed us to the door. The weather was beyond treacherous and very scary. This put us in a very dangerous situation, especially my 80 yr old husband. However, this store is chronically dirty (based on my last 2 visits) despite 6 employees working in this high traffic store )and they still foul up simple orders. The remodel makes this place look unfriendly, unwelcoming. Very steel and cold. Very modern urban. The employees seems easily overwhelmed even though it wasn't busy. And I'm not exaggerating either. It was very steady. 1 drink every 4-5mins. Totally doable. Lulls where there weren't any customers. Maybe they just got through a rush. But it seems some would just stand there and freeze and not know what to do (like deer in the headlight). Everything seemed chaotic and hectic even though it was slow in the cafe. Their faces expressed annoyance, I-hate-my-job look and just unsociable. I stood there for a while and no one once looked up and asked if something was wrong. I finally had to flag someone down. They messed up my drink twice. First time they forgot the toppings. No biggie. They just put some on when I pointed it out. Then I drank it and they forgot to pump the syrup into the drink itself. Now they have to remake the whole thing. Twice. They let the shots "die" as in, it sat there with no milk or syrup and the shot burned and turned completely black instead of staying creamy if you add the milk to chill it as soon as it comes out of the machine. I know my drinks and I know how to make it since I've worked in the coffee business before the fancy automatic machines. There is nothing worse than drinking a bitter shot... Whatever happened to consistent quality. I just paid $6 for this drink. Their employees need to close down for an hr and go over on making drinks and the 101 of espresso. Oh. And it was not clean. This Starbucks is the last one before reaching Louisiana! I love Starbucks!! Ms. Jackie is an awesome person! Very friendly and helpful! Kurt is hilarious! I come here every time I roll into town or passing through! Store is clean! Only one bathroom for male and one for female. The store is large and roomy! Can hang and study if you want. Lots of things to buy! I love how the pastry case looks. It's different than many other Starbucks! Love the options of sandwiches, boxed lunches and parfaits. One of the best Starbucks experiences I've ever had on this earth. As soon as we walked in that pumpkin spice smell hit us in the face. The architecture was magnificent and the seating was arranged perfectly. The cashier was the nicest 20 yr old i've ever met and she told us the funniest story about people getting way too much caramel in their drinks. I waited less than 5 minutes for my drink order. As I walked around the store, it was clear to me that everything was in tip-top shape. The windows were so clear, it felt like i was outside in the rain. I could clearly see the beautiful views and the crystal clear swimming in the motel next door. The music was on point and clearly curated with the above 50 guests, as well as the younger crowd, in mind. The bathrooms were very large and luxurious, though Febreze would be appreciated. Their cup selection was so broad that I had to marvel at it for at least 30 minutes and the placement of the garbage cans was impossibly immaculateAlthough the customers were a bit on the odd side, I found it nice they didn't come up and talk to me. Our breakfast resort when we visit inlaws in Terrell. Yes, this is a bit of hillbilly Starbucks - but don't let that throw you off! It's large, lots of different seating options, great people-watching. Staff has always been friendly and efficient on our visits, and we've had no trouble with our orders. So we'll keep coming back. One tip - newspaper rack is hard to find, but its back there on your right as you enter from the big parking lot. read more

Do you have to circle the drive thru to park if you enter from Bucees? Lord only knows. Starbucks in Terrell, I am so disappointed. My son and I stopped to get some fraps and our entire stop from walking through the door to getting our drinks (which is when we walked out) took 23 mins. The individual on the register was clearly new and had to keep asking for assistance, no problem. The people making drinks didn't seem to be in a hurry about anything. One individual was talking to a drive thru customer for 4.5 mins. Once that vehicle left my drink was finally made by that same individual. I was sooooo excited to see this one on my drive to Dallas. I pulled over and went through the drive through and got my coffee fix. It is a little hard to get into from the access road. They just grab your money and don't even say 'Hello' or a "thank you". Employees needs to be trained and be polite to customers.
