They've even expanded beyond Texas to places like Tennessee and Northern Virginia. Everything is kept clean, especially the bathrooms. This particular location is on the smaller side, so I can't even imagine how huge the larger locations are. There's a wide variety of souvenirs from apparel and home goods to even pet items. Towards the back, you'll find a deli, a wall of specialty beef jerky, tons of snacks, plus brisket sandwiches and desserts, including fudge. We ended up spending a good amount of time here before getting back on the road. You can sample the jerky. I really liked the Honey Jalapeño and Maple Cherry (on the sweeter side). And don't leave without grabbing the beaver nuggets!

Service - Hats off to the Buc-ee's staff, because while it's always super crowded, I've never had to wait long because there are so many checkout stations and the staff are so nice and helpful. Everyone, from the staff making the BBQ to the fudge counter, everyone is super helpful. 1 Star. Facility - The bathrooms at Buc-ee's have earned legendary status. They're clean, the line moves fast, and it leaves you plenty of time to shop for....ANYTHING. Need pool supplies? Check. Flamin' Hot Cheetos? Check. Cookies? Check. Clothes? Check. You get the idea. The staff chops up fresh brisket sandwiches for you to grab and go. For me? I always grab the sugar roasted pecans. I can eat a cone of these sweet, warm treats in one sitting. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Pro Tip #1 - try to get there before 11:30 AM and plan your visit in May. Ham Orchards gets really busy at noon, and Texas gets really hot in June. There's plenty of parking (dirt lot), tons of people (and families), and you'll hear a musician or two playing on the guitar. 1 Star. Service - The staff is super nice. There's a market with dedicated peach soft serve lines as well as a separate building for BBQ. The two are separate, so you don't have to eat the BBQ at Ham Orchards if you only want to shop at the market. Upon entering the market, a very friendly and helpful staff member will help answer questions and guide you. 1 Star. Food - Ham Orchards is a peach farm, so I recommend you order anything that is peach infused. I went with the Peach Pulled Pork. The pork was very tender, the buns were lightly toasted, and the Peach Pulled Pork was sweet and tender. But the star of this trip was the Peach Infused Pickles. Wow, this condiment turned my "meh" potato salad into a peach infused bite that was peach sweet, pickle tart, and potato creamy. I also bought a full-sized Peach Pie from the market home. It was very good (and perfect for my Instagram feed). Pro Tip #2 - if you want to buy a pie, purchase it from the market before you eat lunch, otherwise they may be sold out. 2 Stars. I had a very disappointing experience with Assistant Manager Melodie during a recent visit. I…read moreplaced two separate orders, but only one was brought out. I handed the bag to my son while calmly explaining to Melodie that there was another order. She checked the screen, called out the second order, and when I confirmed that was it, she power walked pass me over to my son and snatched the bag off his arm without saying anything he looked confused and nervous as well trying to get it off his arm while tugging it because it got stuck, she shouldn't have interacted with him at all. When I asked why she did that, she simply said she needed to check it. There was only one item in the bag, yet she went through it as if she was looking for something missing. She then handed it back to me without a word and continued to have an attitude for the rest of the interaction. Later, when I returned to the restaurant to discuss the situation calmly with a manager only to find out she is one, I overheard her talking about the incident with other customers, which was unprofessional. When she finally approached me, she did so with a smirk, saying, "Oh, you had another order," in a sarcastic tone. I explained again what happened and how she took the bag from my son instead of simply asking for it. She denied everything, saying there were cameras to prove it and that she "wouldn't have done that." Whether or not the cameras confirm it, her attitude, lack of professionalism, and dismissive behavior were unacceptable, especially from a manager. It's really unfortunate because I've always had positive experiences at this location, but Melodie's behavior completely ruined that. Denny's should take this as an opportunity to remind their leadership team that customer service and respect go a long way and ensure all customers are treated with respect and courtesy.
