There are admittedly a dozen or so donut shops in Rockwall, and almost all are good - but this has become our go-to spot. Convenient parking out front, well-stocked display cases with wide variety to please kids and sweet tooths (my wife loves the Fruity Cereal toppings! Service is super-friendly, although there can be a small language barrier at times (watch to make sure they understand your selections). But we love the shop, and Marguerite is GREAT! PROS: I figured this would be your basic mom-and-pop donut spot, but I was really impressed with how nicely decorated the Santa donuts were and how amazing they tasted. They were warm and the frosting was great. I liked them so much that I ate the one I got for my brother. Couldn't help it. I wanted to see what all the hype was about, so we drove from Wylie to this place. For the amount of money we paid and still not being full, this was a let down. I think the big craze here is the personalization of a donut order (e.i. birthdays, sports, specific creativity, etc). I will give props on the idea. Very colorful and creative. The donuts we ordered tasted dry and the consistency reminds me of eating a muffin or a piece of cake vs. a fluffy inside. Icing wasn't as smooth tasting, seemed dry as well. My kids did have cool decorative selections. My croissant kolache was pretty good. We ended up driving back to Rowlett where we normally go and had to order more. So disappointed this morning when Donut Station #4 lost my Birthday Donut order for my daughter and her teacher. I brought my order receipt order in to prove that I placed the order and they just kept questioning me. They even gave me a hard time because I placed the order 4 weeks ago. I know mistakes happen but as a business there comes a point when you need to make up for your mistake. I am the one who had to request a refund and ask for donuts. They just wanted to keep talking about it. Luckily my daughter nor her teacher were expecting custom donuts, but I just am disappointed in the manner in which they handled this situation. I ended up just buying a random set of donuts. I will be doing custom donut orders with another business from now on. read more

I stopped in to see what type of other breakfast options they had. I had a wonderful croissant sausage and cheese sandwich. The croissant melted in my mouth and was delicious. It was late morning when I went in, and they were still doing a nice business. During times when no customers were there they were busy restocking the front and cleaning everything. It is simply unmatched by any other donut shop, not even the famous Hypnotic Donuts. Light and buttery, yet somehow still delightfully substantial, it's difficult to imagine how it could be any better. This quality is especially prominent on the "kolache" style items. 2016 Yelp 100 Challenge Review #38 I had a hankering for some donuts. I did a quick Yelp search and wa-la! This place is a typical donut shop. They have a clean interior with a few two-tops which is nice in case you want to sit and savor each bite. I like their beverage case offerings. They have about three or four of them loaded with a wide selection which I like. They have Starbucks Frappuccino drinks, milk (white, chocolate and strawberry), lots of different juices and juice blends along with bottled water. The service was good. Nothing special but nothing lacking. I got a chocolate- and maple- glazed donut, cinnamon twist, an old fashioned blueberry, egg, ham and cheese croissants and pigs-in-a-blanket. I like that they have croissant sandwiches. They warm them up for you if you like. Donuts were standard, what I'd expect. The only thing that I did not like is how they packaged my donuts. I mentioned I had glazed donuts and they put them in small bags with another donut which of course creates stickiness amongst the donuts or with the bag. I know I kept adding to my order but either they could have put a wax paper in between or made the decision to just give me a box. I may be back but I am not committed. I'm not sure what they do differently, but their donuts are a step above the typical strip center donut shop. The glazed donuts are incredible. It does cost a little more than other shops, but it's worth it. Also, don't plan on eating at the shop if you have more than one kid-there are only two small tables. read more

I'm not sure how they do it, but this place is amazing. The kolaches and donuts are both awesome. When on vacation, we usually search out famous or well known donut stores. They never seem to compare to our humble Donut Station. The owners are always friendly and include free samples with our order. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews on here as it is always pretty busy, but the lines moves quickly. read more
