We were here around 11 am on a Saturday morning, and all the savory options were gone, and they only had a few of the sweet options left (strawberry, Nutella, strawberry cream, apricot, and cinnamon). Local and family owned, they treat you like family too. Unimpressive coffee, but they're not trying to compete with coffee houses, they specialize in pastries. I've gone here a few times and the consistency between orders is fantastic, always top notch. However, they don't always make the same pastries. Love this family owned business! Had some guests from out of town coming and I wanted to serve something easy for me to make in the wee hours of the morning with coffee. When I came, all the klobasniks were sold out, but a few kolaches were still available. But they offer frozen ones in their fridge to heat at home. So I bought 4 packages (2 sweet and 2 savory). The person at the counter told me the heating directions were in the back of the packaging. I also bought some fresh kolaches to try. They were delicious pieces of heaven that my family enjoyed. When our guests arrived, I heated a kolach and a klobasknik on a dish and added their times for the microwave. I did this for each person. They turned out great and were eaten all up! read more

I first learned about Four Czechs when a coworker brought some into the office to share... I had a cherry kolache and had to make the drive out to Fate myself on my next day off to investigate. Each kolache is such a neat little square. The dough is so soft, and the fillings aren't too sweet! All the berry ones were absolutely scrumptious, and you can feel the texture of the fruit. If this were closer or on the way to places I normally go, I'd be a regular. A variety of kolaches in mostly sweet or fruity flavors. These are light, fluffy baked rolls, with a flavored center area. Not fried, everything is baked here in this very clean & neat facility. Klobasniks are "pig in a blanket" sausages baked inside a roll. Spicy or regular, both are delicious. Majority of orders are takeout, but you can dine-in, and a fresh pot of coffee is brewed here. Tried this place for the first time and it was soooo good! Everything was super tasty! The first day we went they were sold out of all the pastry's so we tried the sausage with cream cheese. When you first come in,it is like a small doughnut shop. Nothing that sets it apart from everywhere else. What DOES set it apart is the friendly customer service,going above and beyond. Idk which if the family members the woman was that was serving us,but she has a great smile and friendly attitude. We came in at around 11am,that's 1 hour before they close. Great location! In downtown fate and public parking is available. The space is nice and clean. There are a few places to sit with tables. It's also a really good grab and go bakery. Everything was readily made and smelled delicious as soon as you walked in. They even had some frozen options that you could take home and bake yourself, but all freshly made. The customer service was excellent and Emily was awesome! We tried a few different things. The s'mores and Nutella Kolaches were our favs. We also tried the some of the Klobasniks. Very disappointed in the poppyseed kolaches. Dough rolled over the filling, sugar all over it! My Czech babička and matka are rolling over in their graves... Taste was too sweet. I spent a couple of weeks in Prague last summer and didn't see anything like these things in any bakery in the city or the surrounding villages. The apricot, apple, and other kolaches were excellent and made in the traditional manner, we loved them! The service was fast and friendly, I just wish I had looked in the box before I left.
