It was our first time visiting this donut shop enjoyed it on a Sunday morning. I've visited a few Donut Palace locations across Dallas. It's the classic donut shop with everything you think of when craving the sugary treat. We enjoyed the blueberry cake donuts and sausage sausage croissant kolaches. Had to deduct a star because we paid for two donuts and by the time we got home we realized it was never packed. Will go back and try the breakfast sandwiches or tacos next time! read more

In town for my niece's graduation...I was staying at my brother's home and woke up this morning wanting to find a donut shop close by. Well I pulled out my smartphone initiated my YELP app and lo and behold this place popped up 1.9 miles from his house. The reviews sounded good so I made my trek and was not disappointed. This place was really close and the reviews were pretty much spot on! Friendly service...fresh donuts and pigs in a blanket and just a nice family owned business close by. Now I know whenever I'm in town where I can find a really good donut and breakfast place! They even serve breakfast tacos for 99 cents! I'll have to try them next time! :) read more

I was on a mission one weekend morning to find the best kolache in the wylie/sasche area since I just moved into town. So far.. The Donut Palace has the best pig out of about 5 places that I've tried. Not only that, but they have a drive-thru window! They also gave me a free donut, which to me, is the true mark of a good donut store, and so far, the only place that I've been to that actually gave out something free (because where I was before I moved to wylie, handed out free donuts like crazy). read more

We are a big fan of Donut Palace, but not just for their donuts. They have these homemade sausage and cheese bisquits that are so yummy. We keep going back for more! The mini apple fritters are soft and moist, very flavorful. The kids like the sprinkle donuts. They also have a drive thru on mornings that i NEED a fix. read more

I stopped in on Sunday 4/22/18 on my way to the airport. I ordered one apple fritter. I was highly disappointed in that the apple fritter tasted of pure sugar. There was very little apples in the fritter and no real taste other than the sugar. I could not eat the fritter at all. So if you are looking for apple fritters then I suggest you go somewhere else. read more

This used to be our favorite shop in the area - awesome owners, always stocked, and just an overall great experience all the time. They recently changed ownership (or at least the people working there). The new setup is absolutely chaotic. Everyone behind the counter seems overwhelmed. Their selection has broadened, but they are always out of stock of the "normal" stuff. Today we walked into a madhouse and walked right out. We won't be going back. read more

They get really busy Saturday and Sunday mid mornings, so go early if you can. They even have a drive through. WARNING NEW OWNERSHIP, CAN NOT COUNT CORRECTLY. PLEASE CHECK YOUR ORDER!!! Was great, but now under new ownership. I live close by and stop by all the time. Just like any business, people are human and make mistakes. It's how we handle them that makes a place great. I called, talked to a gentleman and told them I was missing 2 items in my order, they told me not a problem just tell them when I come back in and they would take care of it. I did, and the gentleman was there, but this woman kept arguing with me saying that she doesn't mess up. So I didn't want to stand there and argue about $3, I then asked her what do I do in the future if my order is wrong, ALL she kept saying was I don't mess up, I don't mess up. I don't think she understood what I was asking. Since they don't take care of the customers I will never stop again. Sad because I live really close. Yes they have great tasting donuts, but I'm sure I can find another place that won't cheat me. read more

In a community with a crazy number of donut shops, this one never disappoints. They consistently have a great selection of donuts. Their kolaches have a good ratio of bread to sausage (you can actually taste the sausage!). Today, I tried a croissant filled with a piece of sausage and a piece of bacon. Yum! Their buttermilk donuts are light and tasty! The service is great and they even have a drive-thru! I highly recommend Donut Palace. read more
