We popped in after a quick lunch next door and needed a quick coffee fix, this place was alright! The shop itself is very cute and quaint, the service was pretty basic but totally fine. I got an iced vanilla latte and my son got a peppermint mocha, they were very sweet, weren't too coffee flavored and very milky. My son loved it but t was okay for me. Maybe an off day but I'd love to try again! read more

Finally tried this place after visiting the nearby Cinemark and I was not disappointed! I tried the iced vanilla latte which is my go to and my husband tried the cookies and cream frappe and both were delicious. The staff was very warm, and the service was quick! The whole spot felt very cozy, and the lake and lighthouse at the Harbor outside is a very nice place to walk around. I got the white praline chocolate praline viennois, and I thought the coffee was okay. Have to come back to try the crowaffle, the baby of a croissant and a waffle. While staying in Forney, Tx I was looking for local coffee shops and stumbled upon Huckabees. The inside was so cute with lots of teas, coffees, mugs and local handmade candles. I ordered an iced coconut latte with oat milk (half sweet) & it was creamy with just the right amount of coconut. The reason for knocking 2 stars off would be the service here. A friend of mine ordered a large latte and they gave her a small. After telling them that she paid for a large, they proceeded to dump her coffee into a large cup and just add more ice with a small amount of milk. Normally there is a different amount of espresso shots in a small vs a large latte & the fact that they didn't remake the coffee to put in the correct amount of coffee/milk ratio is ridiculous. After all of my friends had got their coffee, the barista placed a drink on the counter. Thinking the it was mine I walked towards the counter and the barista lets me know that the drink is for a customer outside. So as I continue to wait and linger around, I realize the baristas aren't making anymore drinks. I walk towards the counter and one of them ask me if we got everything and I told her I was waiting for my coconut latte, she then tells me that she thinks that the drink on the counter is mine. And I'm like uhhh you said that was for the other lady outside. She then says oh no I believe that's yours, & that she got confused. read more

I liked the otter theme for this lakeside coffee shop. They carry a wide range of flavored lattes and teas. There's a big wall of merchandise including coffee beans, candles, t-shirts, stuffed toys, mugs and more. Lots of high-priced amateur art was on display during my visit. 90's rock music played softly on the speakers. I tried a caramel rum latte which had a hint of burnt flavor to it as well as a vanilla steamer, which had a lovely, not overpowering sweetness. The service was fast and friendly. The biggest attraction here, of course, is the stunning views of the lake. You can't see the lake from inside the coffee shop, but it's a short walk down the promenade to a mini-lighthouse, outdoor concert stage and boat dock. It refreshes the soul to see that beautiful view and feel the crisp breeze! read more

After coffee I walked around the shops and the dock. Lots of variety too. Decently priced but more like Starbucks prices, especially if you're looking to support local. read more

Paid $20.84 for two pour over coffees, muffin, and cinnamon roll. Disappointment is not a strong enough word. You're a coffee shop and can't even make coffee. My husband and I are from out of town, and we were on our way home when we decided to stop here, because it was the closest to the highway with the best reviews. It was also based off of someone's review saying that when they first walked in here, they were greeted with friendly smiles and "hello, how are you?" We were the first ones here this morning, and I was expecting the same. I said "hi," but we got nothing back. No "good morning," no "how are you," no smiles, no eye contact. Nothing. I asked the barista if they had something specific that I like, or something similar, but all I got was a "nope." No "sorry, but maybe I can suggest this." No "but you might like this." I got nothing. I was starting to regret coming here. When we left, there was no "goodbye," no "thank you," no "have a great day." So before I even started drinking my coffee, the customer service was already leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. But I thought "at least the coffee is warm." I ordered a cappuccino, and my husband got an americano. We also decided to stop here, because someone's review showed a picture of a lighthouse by the harbor. Again I thought, "ooh, I'm going to take my coffee and take a photo of it by the lighthouse." So even if I was already upset, even if it was 23 degrees outside, we were going to enjoy our coffee by the harbor and take a photo of the sunrise. Not even a minute of walking towards the lighthouse, I hear my husband yell, "ouch, that's hot!" I look over at him, and coffee was dripping all over his hand. The lid wasn't on there well, so he tried to adjust it while walking. But the coffee just kept coming out. So we stopped for him to check the lid again. There were two cups, and the lid wasn't able to stay on well. So he removed the other cup, and put the lid back on. We started to walk towards the lighthouse again. But I look over, and the coffee was still coming out, dripping all over his hand. He said it's so cold out that he didn't even notice. We ended up going back so he can get a different cup. I waited outside for him trying to enjoy my coffee. Turned out, that cup had a slit on the side, so instead of just pouring the coffee in a new cup, she decided to put another cup over it, probably hoping it would fix it. She didn't even apologize, and still no "thank you," no "have a great day," no "stay warm out there." We ended up leaving with no photo, no enjoyment of the harbor and the sunrise. Just a disappointment of picking this coffee shop. We should have just gone to another coffee shop that was a little further off our route. I would have loved to have given this place 4 stars or more. I'm sure other people had better experiences, but sadly, we didn't today. read more

My husband and I stopped into this quaint coffee shop on our way home. There were about 3 other couples/groups in there when we popped in. There were only two employees working the day we went. They are very nice and very busy! It took about 5 minutes for them to take our order, which I didn't mind since it was our first time there and it gave me time to look over the menu. My husband ordered the strawberry lemonade and I ordered an iced caramel latte. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is Starbucks pricey, but we love supporting local when we can! There was not a lot of tables or chairs so browsed the items they had for sale along the walls. Mostly overpriced items, in my opinion. The only thing I would consider ever buying were their coffee beans. We waited about 15 minutes for my coffee, my husband's lemonade came out quickly. I didn't mind the wait, but it was hot and stuff inside the shop. I'm not sure if there was too many people inside, or the heat was from the coffee brewing. The bathroom was also out of order, which is inconvenient for a coffee shop. We immediately leave the shop after getting our drinks. My husband pointed out that the logo on the coffee cup was a sticker, but I thought it was still cute! The strawberry lemonade was delicious! We will definitely be getting that again! My iced caramel latte was also divine! I look forward to trying other coffees! read more

We haven't visited Huckabees but found it while ordering online from Door Dash and it's been a repeat treat for me and my youngest son most mornings. The coffee options are phenomenal and it's great to be able to order to dietary restrictions. While Starbucks is beginning to eliminate their sugar free options this place is providing a ton of sugar free options. They even have keto friendly and gluten free donuts! The food is fantastic too for anyone not diet restricted. My son is addicted to the blueberry flapjack cake. I ordered the blueberry muffin on a "cheat" day and... wow. It was worth every extra net carb. My favorite coffee is the breva, hot or cold. I can't wait to visit in person after the holiday and enjoy the lake views at the harbor. This is definitely what the Rockwall Harbor needed!! This coffee shop is CUTE!!!! The whole wall has very cute little gifts, flavored coffees, etc. I would buy all of it if I could. There are multiple tables and free WiFi, so great for a meeting/work space. There is a little case of bakery items, but their drink menu is awesome! I tried the honey lavender frappe, and MAN WAS IT GOOD!!! So sweet and yummy with honey drizzled and lavender sprinkles. It was one of the best flavored drinks I've had in a long time. They even have frozen flavored lemonades, specialty teas, many different yummy and unique sounding flavor combos. I will be back!! read more

Unfortunately, it fell short in terms of drink quality. The honey matcha was probably the best thing there. Cappuccino and frosted lemonade was not very good at all.
