I always love coming to Hope Coffee. Although it's very "Jesus-y", the atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming when you walk in the door. Not only inside, but outside there are plenty of relaxing places to sit and enjoy your coffee or breakfast... including by the outdoor fire place. The honey comb latte is my favorite coffee in the entire Forney/Rockwall/Sunnyvale/Mesquite area. And they have OATMILK! They also have a variety of really great breakfast foods. I came across this coffee shop when looking for a new coffee place in Mesquite. The ambiance was great and they had a lot of coffee options. We tried the iced Sunnyvale latte and tiramisu mocha and both were delicious. The service was friendly and the other customers were friendly as well. They have a nice outside seating area with an area for kids to play in which was so great for my one year old. We will be back for sure, definitely recommend! read more

I had by far the worst customer service experience here today. I ordered two matcha drinks for $24 and requested a refund because they weren't made correctly. Instead of giving me a full refund, the employees only gave me $12 back, claiming it was due to "taxes" and that their system was down. That explanation makes no sense, I should have received the full refund for both drinks, not half. On top of that, the staff were dismissive and refused to resolve the issue properly. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I will not be returning until the company addresses this kind of treatment toward customers. read more

This lovely, out of the way coffee shop in Sunnyvale offers a full menu of espresso drink options, a cooler of pastries and snacks along with whole beans by the pound or two pound bag, t-shirts, mugs, etc. At least part of the profits go to assist churches providing aid to impoverished communities in South America, so that's a good feeling. The service was friendly- I ordered a salted caramel latte which was smooth and delicious. For me, the best part of this coffee shop was the outdoor seating. I love hope coffee and what they stand for! Their coffee is delicious and the workers are so sweet. We've been coming here for awhile now and this is the first time where I bought an extra coffee for the next day. When I put it in my microwave for a minute and was near by in the kitchen I smelt burning. I have never had this happen on a to go coffee cup from anywhere! Nowhere on the cup does it state cups are not microwaveable. The cup was on fire when I opened my microwave. Thank god I didn't walk away to another room or my house could've caught fire! I'm also sad because I was very much looking forward to that coffee! So this is just a notice to not hear the cups up in the microwave or possibly the company can put a label on them to warn people. I'm so happy that they opened up a coffee shop close to my area. Walking in, the environment is clean and relaxing. I came in to get some studying done but the environment really balanced it out. I got an Americano and my sister got a the Sunnyvale Blue Matcha. The americano was great with a lot of depth. I really enjoyed it. The Sunnyvale blue matcha was good (a 4/5) being very milky and sweet. The service is great. The workers were nice and knew a lot about the drinks. Great little coffee spot that feels warm and welcoming. BUT, they need to work on their order logistics. I drive by every morning on my way to work, and if there's more than 2 cars in the line I drive right on by. The *minimum* average wait time seems to be 6-8 minutes per car, which means if there's two cars in front of me I end up spending 15-20 minutes waiting for my drink. I've even tried going inside, only to see that they have the same issues inside. Again, I love the place, I'm a local, and love supporting local businesses. But I can't justify spending an hour of my week in line waiting for coffee/tea on my way to work. For the business mind: I'd come here every day for coffee, my average spend is $7 every business day, which works out to $35/week or $140/month. I've spoken with friends and other locals that experience the same issue. I wonder how much revenue they're missing by not optimizing their order fulfillment processes. If there's just 25 other people like me in the community that's $42k per year they're missing simply because their clients want coffee, but need something more convenient/efficient. I'll still drop by for an occasional drink or friend meetup, because I do love this spot, just wish they'd optimize their checkout so I could come every day! PS their Christian music is a wonderful little touch if you decide to enjoy your drink inside. read more
