The boba drinks were excellent, and we truly enjoyed the overall atmosphere and experience. The only concern we had was with the food. My boyfriend ordered the caprese toast, and I had the egg salad panini. He noticed that the cheese on his dish had an unusual smell, but we didn't want to make assumptions at the time. Unfortunately, a few hours after eating, neither of us felt well and we both experienced severe stomach discomfort. I eventually became sick and vomited. My sandwich itself tasted fine, so we're unsure exactly what caused the issue, but we wanted to share our experience as constructive feedback. Hurrah! A new coffeeshop in Mesquite! This place is by a busy road and the signage wasn't super clear from the exterior so I looped around the shopping center a couple of times before I spotted it. Once inside it's a super cool space. Lots of sleek benches and work tables along with a giant ficus. Interestingly the coffee shop had a large selection of toys and locally made crafts for sale. They also employ the use of an automated ordering system, which felt quite impersonal. The drink I ordered was tasty enough though. read more

Came here again craving some matcha on a Sunday afternoon. To my surprise, they had a new item on their menu: fruity pebbles matcha! So of course I had to get it. The price displayed was $6.95 which to me was a little steep. But when I went on to add it to my order (on the kiosk), customizations came up including what size I wanted, type of milk, toppings, etc. Well, the size of a MINI was $6.95. To get a small it would cost $0.85 extra and I believe to get a medium was around $1.00 extra and a large around $2.00 extra! I just thought the base price was enough already but this much extra for a change in size? Nevertheless I got a small. My total was $7.79. And when my order was ready, I was sure they were mistaken. Because the drink I got was in a cup I would classify as mini. This drink was almost $8!! I just can't believe I spent that much on a tiny drink. The drink itself was also a little disappointing. The matcha was overtaken with blueberry flavoring and the fruity pebbles on top of the drink got soggy very quickly. I'm usually not the one to write a negative review, but the pricing and sizing of these drinks should be revisited in my opinion. read more

So a friend put me on to Standing Ovation. I've never had boba tea before so when I came in, I didn't know what I was doing. It was very minimalist inside which helped it look super clean inside. The girl at the counter helped me choose an option and even let me sample a couple items to narrow my decision down which was super helpful. I ended up getting the Oreo cookie crumble with Oatmilk and no cheese foam. I don't know how I feel about the boba just yet but the milk tea was great! A new coffee spot in Mesquite located in a new shopping strip with plenty of parking. The inside seems clean and bright and there is plenty of seating. I saw people with computers camped out working as well as friends socializing. When you first arrive, you don't get treated by employees but rather by a computer (ipad) ready to take your order and payment. This felt okay for me since there was no one waiting behind me in line. I ordered my regular Cappucino and it was made to order quickly. It did not come with a heat protector and there was none available for me to grab. My selection tasted more like a latte to me. They have merchandise for purchase as well. read more

Needs customer service improvement, also it took 30 minutes for a half dozen of mochi donuts, when they finally called us they asked me what flavors we wanted when they only had 5 mochi donuts left, not even enough to complete my order. They lady tried to hand me the five donuts and said "sorry about that here you go" I told her no I need something else to replace that donut she took like 10 minutes more trying to figure out what they could give me she came back and said they could give me a muffin, I picked a chocolate muffin which was not tasty at all, it was bitter for some reason. I recently tried the Strawberry matcha and a churro mochi donut. They were both good but the donut was my favorite out of the two items. I personally have never had a matcha drink but wanted to try it. The drink resembles a strawberry milkshake, not sure where to match flavor is since the strawberry was what you taste the most. Overall, not a bad experience but it was $13 for two things. If you're in a hurry I wouldn't recommend this place it is a slower paced service. read more

Ok so the vibe is nice but the food is not great at all!! The cinnamon roll was completely flat!! Literally look at the picture and it was hard! When you order on the touch pad screen it shows a picture of a fluffy cinnamon roll but that's not what you get! Then we got the Oreo cloud drink and that was plain gross! It was just coffee mixed milk with to crumbles Oreo that sank to the bottom so really you just taste is coffee milk not sweet at all just bitter. Finally the egg grilled sandwhich yuck!!!!!!!! Very cheap bread used and the eggs wasn't even cooked all the way no seasoning on it either! Honestly I was looking so forward to this based on recommendation on Facebook posts and reviews but man people need to explore other options this place is eye pleasing only nothing great as for food... oh lastly we were the only ones there!!! This is a great local boba shop/cafe! Personally, I loved the minimalistic decor and open layout of the room. The two kiosks are both "self-serve", which is much appreciated by us introverts who just want to be in and out. As for the drinks, overall, they were great! I got the strawberry milk tea, classic milk tea w/ jasmine tea, strawberry green tea, and mango green tea. Both the fruit teas came with jelly (I think coconut?) and the milk teas came with 1 scoop of boba. The strawberry milk tea was sweet and fruity, and tasted like fresh strawberry milk. The classic milk tea had a rich jasmine tea flavor, which makes me think they steep their teas with real tea leaves and did not just use a powder. The strawberry green tea also had a very balanced fruity and green tea flavor. The mango green tea was definitely more mango than tea, which is fine with me. Overall, I'd say the drinks are on the sweeter side, so I'd recommend getting 1/2 sweet for most people. On the other hand, the boba, itself, was less sweet than most places I've tried. I prefer sweeter boba, and that's subjective so it doesn't take away from the quality of the drinks here. I did not enjoy this place at all. Firstly, I have been to a lot of boba places all over DFW and I can ask questions and they will guide me to what type of drink I should get when it's the first time I've seen their menu. I asked the girl at the counter (even though you order through a tablet, not a human) which drink I should get for the least amount of sugar and caffeine. By the way, I have a health condition so this is beyond important to me. She recommended the fruit tea. When I got it, it was the sweetest drink I've ever taken a drink of (the opposite of what I was asking for) and when my boyfriend let them know it was too sweet for me, they were completely unhelpful and did not offer to remake it for me after it was the employee's recommendation on what to get. It was WAY sweeter than my boyfriend's coffee drink to the point that I wasn't going to risk my health to drink a gross tasting drink even if it was $6. It was my first time to get crystal boba, so I'm not sure if it has a weird off putting taste and texture everywhere, but this was not good boba either. What a waste, and I even gave them an opportunity to make it right and they dropped the ball there too. Inflation is at an all time high, I advise going somewhere else with better customer service and drinks for your special treat. read more

When we got there, you have to order through a tablet and staff was not all that helpful in guiding you through the menu. There was only 3 donuts there. The place closes at 8 and I got there at 3pm so I thought there was lack of options on the donuts. I ended up getting the Oreo boba. The boba was extremely soft (same for my friend who got one of the teas and added boba). The drink was off putting to me, I couldn't put my finger on what it was throwing me off.
