Solid Starbucks location right next to the ASU main campus. Was actually in line at Dutch Bros. to get some drinks but they were giving away some silly frog charms that morning and you couldn't get near the place, so I u-turned out of there and went just a little north to this store and got some coffee and a Refresher in just a few minutes. Drove by the Dutch and it was frozen in time. I could see that I would not have moved in line at all. We usually use the drive-thru whenever we do stop at this Starbucks, but have ventured in a few times, too. Plenty of seating and good music playing. I need to get my app fixed so I can mobile order from this store someday, but otherwise no complaints at all. read more

I stop by Starbucks pretty regularly, and the team at this location absolutely saved me today. The coffee was fantastic and exactly what I needed to get going. However, what really stood out was the exceptional customer service. It was a scorching hot day, and I brought in my half-gallon water jug the baristas went above and beyond by filling it all the way to the top with ice-cold water without any hesitation. The customer service depends on the Color of your Skin, and whether or not they want to bring your purchase to you or not. Mostly, they call out your drink. One of the cashier's said they did call but, I probably didn't hear him. Duh! 7 or 8 minutes later the drink is still on the counter. It wouldn't have been so bad but, another customer came in, ordered coffee, and the cashier brought his cup of coffee to him. What's the difference? Color, not age. We're both over 60 years of age. This is a great Starbucks. I rank it top ten I've ever been and I started going to SB in 1994. First, they just renovated with comfy indoor seating and a very large patio. Second, the Barista staff is outstanding demonstrating impeccable customer service skills and professionalism. Many customers are extremely demanding(I'm an exception)and all the Staff handle them extremely well without getting fazed or flustered. I think they should all get bonuses for A+ work. Finally, this location is almost always open until 11:30pm! That's the latest hours for an SB in my experience and I wish more were open late. I come to the Starbucks almost every morning to order my usual drink and they always put so much ice even when requesting light ice. You can see the label clearly says light ice which I requested, crazy that this is their version of light ice. Well, today it's not crowded, and that's a pleasant surprise. This review accounts for all my experiences at this Starbucks, especially when I lived closer-by on Vista Del Cerro. A usable rule of thumb is, if you live nearby, to make an effort for regularship at this Starbucks. It's a great spot! However, if you live farther away and are just looking for a change of scenery, might I strongly recommend going someplace else. It'd be a shame to drive all the way here, backpack loaded with stuff, only to find that you need to sit outside or take your coffee to-go. There is a drive-thru at this location, and from my experiences, I'd say it's one of the better ones (unless it's during the morning rush). Parking lot can be a maze at times, and if you don't find a spot, you're pretty much out of luck. I've never had a poor cup of coffee here, so the staff and their prowess have my confidence. Of course since this shop is a chain most of their products are standard except if you ask to customize it. I always enjoy their products and services. The best ones I have had is the chicken and quinoa salad along with the artichoke chicken panini. their sandwiches are also good too. I haven't tried their bento boxes. I have a friend who makes her own Starbucks style bento box with carrots and green peas. You can never outdo the convenience of a premade meal. It's also great they have a good parking lot. The inside tends to be packed though. there used to be a lot of people studying there and there still is quite a few people inside every day. The service tends to still be quite quick and convenient. It is nice that there are so many similar stores in the area to help cut down on the amount of customers or store. It would be nice if this location was open 24/7. This is a great Starbucks. The location is always busy, but they work efficiently and it's never taken me long to grab a coffee. There is both indoor and outdoor space to work, and the outdoor area is covered with fans for the hot Arizona heat! This SB is open late but I won't be back. Too busy, too cramped, too loud, and customer service is a mixed bag. While there are some positives like having power outlets outside, ample outdoor seating, and open til 11pm, there are so many more glaring negatives. Firstly it's located literally right next to a busy intersection/crosswalk with the loudest crosswalk warning beeps I've ever heard. If you sit outside you will be subjected to these ear piercing beeps every 20 seconds. It's super busy. The few hours I spent there, it was packed to the brim nonstop and you were lucky to find a seat inside. Not only that, the tables and seating are quite tight so you feel like a sardine in a tin. Customer service is mixed, with a friendly barista one moment and a subpar one the next. I asked for a tea refill (free with Starbucks card and if you've been spending time in-store) and for the first time ever, I was asked if I'd been in-store or I had just come in. Um your girl's not trying to scam a free drink honey, I'd been there for hours ‍. Not sure if she was further trying to spite me but I didn't get my refill until nearly 15-20 minutes later... Needless to say, NOT my favorite Starbucks. If I'm in this area I will hit up another spot or go to Infusion Coffee Tea just up the street which has way better ambiance and service! read more

I go here pretty often bc it closes at 11PM. It gets super crowded when school is in session and when it's exam week. During the summertime, it's pretty chill and more professionals come out to do work and some students taking summer classes but not a lot. There's a sofa area which always has space, but it's not ideal since the coffee tables are so low it's awkward if you're doing work on your laptop or just doing any sort of work. Also, it gets pretty loud. The corner section with individual tables is popular since it's out of the way and secluded. read more

Stopped in here this morning to get my free birthday drink and this location was close to work. I noticed their drive-thru but it already had a few cars and I was running late so I parked and walked in. There was no one in line which helped me and I was able to order easily and quickly. I got the Midnight Mint Mocha frappucino (and of course I wasn't able to remember the exact name but the barista did). I took a quick glance around as I was waiting and it's a nice shop, lots of places to sit and work or do whatever. I didn't have to wait too long as my drink was ready within 5 minutes, which I appreciated considering the line for the drive-thru. The drink didn't taste like it had coffee in it which was weird but I don't need the caffeine. I liked the mint and chocolate combo but the bottom of the drink is always icey. Really really disappointed today with the service in the drive thru today. When I pulled up I was one of only 2 cars, one was already at the window. Took very long to get my drink when it wasn't busy at all, I pull up to the window after I ordered and they inform me after the fact they have no bananas to make my drink so they are making it without it. I was thinking okay I guess it'll be okay. I ordered a chocolate banana protein smoothie, comes in one size, grande and is almost $5! I realized there was none so I asked for them to give me some and he said it would cost extra. By the way I already paid for the cold foam. Staff is phenomenal as always but it's now taken 20 minutes for a danish and a coffee. There's people in here waiting longer than I have. Whoever took our order through the drive thru was extremely rude. When we get to the window, they kept their back to us.No customer service whatsoever. Extremely rude and unpleasant encounter. I have never had any issues with Starbucks as they are almost always friendly and welcoming therefore I was not expecting to be treated so poorly, like customers were an inconvenience.
