Decided to give this Starbucks another chance and what do you know... another distasteful experience :( If I could give any advice to MOST of the employees, not all but MOST of them, go down to the Starbucks on Rancho Cal/ Meadows near the Baron's, take some notes on how to treat customers. I am going to just assume that there is a very negative energy festering there at this particular Starbucks on Hwy 79 and hope that other employees force that person out with kindness. Hopefully the climate will change because the team culture there is too tolerant of being short and unkind to customers. It's just a coffee yes, but I used to love the Starbucks vibe and I truly could just stay home, however I enjoy breaking out of the house for a treat. A "treat"... not some grouchy, short tempered staff that is belittling to the newer staff (ya, I see that part too, so sad). Please for the whole of our community... do you need and air hug or air fist bump? I mean come on how hard is it to show appreciation and kindness to those in your community? It starts with you and you alone. Try it. Btw I always tip, always and frankly I almost don't want to here at this Starbucks but I do it because those awesome newbies simply don't deserve to be stiffed the way you long standing employees stiff them on kindness! So I've been coming to this Starbucks location at least 5 days a week for the last 3 years. Not one day has gone by that when I walk in I still get greeted with a smile and welcomed by my name. This location is slower than molasses. Ordered a hot chocolate and an iced coffee and it took 30 minutes. Thank goodness we weren't in a hurry to get anywhere. If you need fast service, I'd go to another location. I wouldn't dare go to this location before work in the morning. read more

First time I came to this location I ordered the Christmas blend drip coffee. I'm used to the need to wait if it isn't brewed and will usually choose another if I can't wait. This location, however, charges EXTRA for the Christmas brew. I find that highly suspect as NO OTHER LOCATION has ever charged me extra for one drip over another. And 60 cents at that! Pretty steep increase for an under $2 drink. I wasn't happy and got a Pike's instead. read more

Two employees turned this into a 1 star review. The guy who took my order, a clean cut caucasian guy whose name starts with a J....I'm standing right in front of the register and he doesn't acknowledge me, even though he is looking at me. Whatever. So I start saying what I would like to order and he's just staring at the screen on the register. He cuts me off to loudly call the previous customer back over because her app to pay didn't go through. Not an issue in itself, but he should've 1) acknowledged me and 2) given me a 'just a moment I'll be right with you' or something. You don't just leave a customer hanging like that. The caucasion girl whose name starts with an S...I'm at the bar waiting for my drinks and sandwich. She comes over and tosses the sandwich down so it slides a little. Am I getting charged extra to have my sandwich thrown down onto the bar? So overall, not happy about this location. It was Fathers Day and not even busy. read more

Some of the nicest baristas are at this location. Always friendly and they try to learn your name. I love that they have a clover machine. I'm absolutely into the reserve coffees. Patio is wonderful. Lots of seating. They have a bar area next to the baristas, so if you want to chat with your favorite one, you can! Absolutely wonderful. Warning though, this location is popular, so the line can be a bit longer. Doesn't that say everything? I've been going here since they opened (so long ago that I can't remember) and will continue to come here. read more

Worst layout for a Statbucks. The register is at the back of this very narrow store so when it is crowded, which is basically always, there is no moving around without bumping into someone. If the design were thought about a little better, I think it would be a better starbucks. But the staff is friendly and the drinks are made right! A Starbucks is a Starbucks...but I wanted to give 5 stars specifically to the blonde barista named Ashley. There was a really long line and the girl ordering was being really rude to her talking on her phone and describing drinks expecting ashley to know what she wanted. Ashley was friendly and patient and actually figured out what she wanted by the description of what the drink looked like. I was impressed that Ashley didn't give her attitude. Visited sat 3/17/18 @ about 4:30pm. Cashier super sweet, manager I think (some guy trying to look like Flynn rider but failed miserably) was so rude. He freaked out on a co worker bc she asked if he wanted her to stay late. I DONT KNOW YET!!! I HAVE TO CHECK FIRST! In turn she was rude when we asked if the coffee was a grande. Not a bad Starbucks but it does have a few drawbacks. There is no drive thru which seems to always move faster at other Starbucks. Also every time I go inside there are about 10 people waiting to order and another 5 waiting for drinks. They always seem to be a little short staffed. Drinks have always been good and the workers are friendly. They just need to staff the place better to get people in and out quicker. read more

This is the closest Starbucks to my home indicated for Starbucks in Meadows Shopping Center next to Wing Stop. I've worked for Starbucks before, I understand how busy it gets and how customers can be. The baristas here need some additional training on customer service and multitasking. I will stand at the end of the bar waiting on my finished beverage ordered via app sometimes 5-8 minutes before I am even acknowledged. While they hand and call out other drinks. They will start new beverages and still not assist me to grab my finished beverage or even make eye contact. Tip: While another drink is steaming or blending look over at mobile order customers and say, "Do you have a drink ordered via mobile?". Takes 2 seconds. Hand the beverage over and that takes maybe 1 second. Total 3 seconds maybe.....Drinks have also come out wrong I would say 7/10 times in past week or so. Watery, adding sugar free syrups (when this was not asked for) or no flavor added at all. Overall, training in customer service and multi tasking needs to be improved. Possible Solution: I don't know maybe its a corporate Starbucks rule to have mobile orders hiding beyond the reach of the customer but if not place them where customers can grab them just like the in store orders are called out. Have them placed off to the side with a indicated sign. Coffeebean down the street leaves them within reach and never any issues and is way more efficient. read more

1 Star for the horrible customer service I received last night from Richard. I have come to this location many tines before to study and the baristas are always respectful and make great coffee. So, coming in that is what I expected per usual. I went in last night with my friend to grab some drinks and sit in the store. I went to the front and ordered my drink and said I didn't want whipped cream because I don't like it. Richard looked at me with a disgusted face and said "you don't like whipped cream I don't like you" and with no sarcastic tone and his face was still the same so I was shocked that he was being like that to a customer. He then asked why I didn't like it. I said I don't like the taste or texture and he just looked at me like I was stupid. Then just said out of nowhere "you know out of you three (including my friend) you know who's my favorite? Not you" and I was just really uncomfortable at that point and tried to pay with my phone. So, I went to scan it and he looked at the name on the account and saw it said carol on it. I use my moms account not my own to earn her points. He just said "what kind of name is that you don't even look like a carol" and I said my name is Taylor and that it's not my account. I just walked off because I paid. He proceeded to call me carol when my drink was made and he said it in a tone of voice that was just rude (kind of a had to be there moment). I got my drink and sat at the tables to drink it with my friend and the store was closing soon. He said "um, carol we're closing in 10 minutes" with the same rude tone in his voice. There were also other customers in the store so it was really embarrassing that he was calling me out like that. I'm not one to get upset easily but when I got into the car I started to cry because I was embarrassed by him and treated with no respect. My friend called the store and asked to speak to the manager (Dave). Dave was present when this was happening and we explained that I did not appreciate the way I was treated. Dave told me that he already had to speak to him the same day about his behavior at work. He thanked me for calling and told us he would have another talk with him. May I also mention that Richard suggested that I write him a bad yelp review in the store. Not sure why you would ever want to encourage customers to write a bad yelp review about the store you work at. I work in retail and would never treat a customer with the disrespect I was given last night. All in all, Starbucks is still amazing. Focus on hiring nice employees who make their customers feel wanted. You never know what your words may do to someone Richard. Hopefully you learn that soon. read more

I always come here and never had an issue till today they made my drink wrong I order a matcha green tea cream frappe with vanilla and the classic and I asked the girl to fix it she gave me an attitude about it . they gave me the original drink back and the new one and the second drink was worst then the first one it wasn't even blended nothing I asked for was in the drink . I needed a fix for my long drive back to the Desert through Hwy 74, so I stopped at the last available Starbucks off Temecula Parkway. It's pretty time consuming getting to this establishment and leaving also. The location seemed popular and bustling that evening, which gave it a good vibe. When I entered they were not busy and had more people inside adding to the calm vibe. The employee was friendly and added to mellowness. The service was fast and a great product that brings justice to the quality of Starbucks. The place was clean and inviting. I will definitely keep this place in mind during my trips through Temecula. Overall, great place that entails what a Starbucks is! The only downfall was the tedious drive to get to it and leave from it, which is not that bad when you have this quality to get too. read more

I like this particular Starbucks. I used to go here all the time when I lived in the area. We don't live around there anymore, so I don't frequent it as much, only if I happen to be in Temecula -shopping. The place is always clean and staff are friendly and efficient. My coffee always turns out perfect. They just seem to know how to make it correctly here without any drama or redoing the order. Cake pops are yummy little calorie/fat hoarders. We like to stop by here if we are going the mountain way to Palm Springs area by taking the 79S. read more

Went in today for a Venti ginger ale & a Venti ice water. Caught attitude from the cashier. Every single barista looked like they were miserable. No smiles. No "thank you". No "have a great day". Absolutely miserable people & they were messing up drink orders left and right. It took 20 minutes to even get the ice water due to the fact that they were so busy making other patron drinks. The made one lady's drink 4, YES 4, times. They were busy, but it wasn't unmanageable, however the staff was completely overwhelmed. Where's the seasoned staff at? So this Starbucks has always been ... Meh but tonight was the end of all that. We were kicked out at 9:30. Starbucks are not allowed to close with customers in the store. None the less, I was finishing up a cinnamon roll when the employee walked to the door and said, "We're closing." I said, congenially, "How about three more bites?" He said, "We have a half hour to clean the whole store. You have to get out." I happen to know this is expressly NOT Starbucks policy. I'll try to alert the district manager but this is not how you should be treating customers. A shame. read more

I had my Starbucks app hacked at this location in November when I added money to my account. Two charges appeared for $100 each on my credit card to the app and then transferred to a Starbucks card that wasn't mine or on my account. I informed the store just so they were aware and they went into defense mode and said it has been happening but nothing they could do. Yesterday had my account hacked again with money transferred from my app account to a Starbucks card not registered to me. Received an email from Starbucks and I called to remedy but Customer Service was clueless and unable to do anything. App is not secure. read more

My husband and I love coming to this Starbucks and enjoy there drinks but we've come to realize that for the most part all the employees are very professional and nice except for one particular Asian lady. I don't care to know her name, but she's a small petite lady with glasses seems to be rude in her voice. I'm not into the Starbucks lingo and do not know all the fru fru names of the drinks because I normally order just a plain cup of coffee. But today I ordered the not usual drink which was a Frapp for my daughter. When she took my order she sounded snarly with an attitude cuz I wasn't saying the Starbucks "lingo". She just looked at me with a straight stupid look to her. This lady needs to go back to basics on customer service training. A smile on her face and less attitude training would do her some good. Otherwise she should just work somewhere else to be away from the servicing the public.
