I wish I had looked at the recent reviews of this place before going here. I went in to order my drink because of the long line in the drive through. That was my biggest mistake- the drive through serviced 10 cars before they even got to my order. When I inquired about my drink I was met with the biggest attitude and a woman practically yelling at me about wait times and to expect to wait. I understand a wait time- a 15 minute wait time for a beverage is a little insane, but not as insane as yelling at a customer for asking about it. I am in customer service for over 20 years now and never leave bad reviews but this place needs an overhaul on their staff. If I could give this Starbucks, a zero I would. The service is atrocious. I love Starbucks! I can't begin to describe how horrible this location is. The manager on duty -because I really truly hope she wasn't the actual store manager- went out of her way to make my visit as bad as possible. Starbucks is nice enough to remake your drink if another location doesn't make it the right way. This was the closest location to where I got my drink, so I asked very politely if they could remake my drink. While she said, yes, she went above and beyond to explain to me why it wasn't served to me correctly in the first place. Mind you I order this drink daily so I know how to order it. Since I wasn't getting charged, I wanted to leave a tip so I asked if she could change out a five dollar bill for me. She very rudely said no we can't change any money unless you're buying something. So I asked the young girl who was very polite, if I could exchange my own money out of the tip jar and she wasn't sure, so she went to the. "Manager" to ask. She then came over and said I already told you, we don't change out money. You can't put your hand in there. I can't change out the money and you can't either. I said I was just asking so that I could leave a tip, but you didn't say that I couldn't exchange the money which as a rule has never been a rule that I've been aware of or else there would be a sign up. Also I'm pretty sure they don't watch that outdoor tip jar all day long, and I know I am seeing people changing out money in the indoor jars. She is not somebody that should be in customer service at all. She's definitely in the wrong business! As somebody who's been in the hospitality and service industry for decades, she needs a new career As a note, she made my coffee exactly the wrong way again. So there goes my six dollars. read more

Starbucks opened a new store in Stratham in January 2020, which is located in the Parkman Brook Shopping Center (Staples/Planet Fitness) on NH 108, just north of NH 101 Exit 11. This standalone location fills the void for Starbucks in the immediate Stratham/Exeter area since the Starbucks counter in the former Stop & Shop supermarket in Exeter closed several years ago. This 2,200 SF Starbucks with drive thru is modern, bright and spacious inside with big windows, a mix of table seating, cushion wood chairs, long soft booth seats, and a few big softer chairs with coffee stands. There is also an outdoor patio area too. The other closeby older Starbucks in Epping is smaller and darker and the Starbucks in Greenland is inside Target. The Starbucks menu offerings are the standard coffees, teas, espresso, lattes, macchiatos, frappuccinos, cold brew, breakfast sandwiches, bakery items, warm sandwiches, protein boxes, cold bottled drinks, and snacks. I stopped in at the Stratham Starbucks for my evening Grande Pike Place Coffee after I had dinner nearby. The service here was prompt and friendly. My coffee was very hot and strong, just what I needed to get some work done on my computer using the free WiFi here. I can actually see what I'm writing on paper with the brighter lighting here. I am very glad that there is another Starbucks in the inland Seacoast area conveniently located off the highway (NH 101) in Stratham in addition to the darker Epping Starbucks. . read more

The staff in this location is just RUDE. One lady in particular used to be in Epping and now she is at this newer location. She has a British accent and she really needs a touch up class on customer service. Went in to get three drinks. Zero cars in the drive thru but my GF wanted to use the ladies room (closed for customers) so we went inside to order. No customer in front of us either. So the place was dead. After 17-20 minutes of waiting for drinks we asked what the delay was as two of them were sitting behind the counter dying. This lady told us we are "very busy and to have patience." What?!?! The place is empty!!! When we needed straws that was another minute or two as they walked around like chickens without their heads looking for them. Left the location and one of the drinks lost its "cloud"' because of the time delay and that removed about an inch from the drink being full. Pretty building but terrible staff interaction here. read more

I go through the drive through of this Starbucks multiple times a week and the staff is nothing but smiling, friendly and polite. Yes, it's true that I sometimes need to be patient as I am in line waiting longer than usual but they are always extremely apologetic. This business is no different than many of the others that are so short staffed and going through a difficult time finding people that are actually willing to work. kudos to all of you at this location! Don't understand all of the negative reviews. I've gone here almost daily since they opened. They offer some of the fastest, nicest service of most Starbucks I've been to and I've been to a lot. Starbucks locations everywhere are encountering supply issues so I can't fault them for that. Keep up the good work! read more

It was super hot day and I was really looking forward to a cold drink. I ordered a strawberry açaí only to be informed they were out. I then ordered a very berry hibiscus ...they were also out. THEN I ordered a pink drink....THEY WERE out!! At this point I'm thinking...what do you have in stock!!!!! I ended up with a kiwi refresher and a lemon loaf. The kiwi drink was far from what I actually wanted. It was okay. I will not be ordering that again. I will say the lemon loaf was moist and quit scrumptious. These people are some of the rudest and slowest Starbucks staff I've ever encountered. Considering that I used to live in NYC and New Jersey... that's saying something. The lady with gray hair is especially snippy. Thankfully the recipe is somewhat standardized... but that doesn't explain the slowness. It's the holidays, for Pete's sake people!!! read more

The drive thru line goes incredibly slow, and when you do a mobile order and go in there can be upwards of 5 other customers call standing around waiting for the employee working to notice them and hand them their drinks. When I ordered an iced beverage I was told I should do mobile and then wait 20 minutes for it, as it seemed to be an unattainable item to order just through drive through. Also every time I order the green tea- lemonade it tastes a little different, even though I use the previous recipe through the app. Sometimes I just throw it away it's undrinkable. And yes the older woman with short grey hair is very snippy and unfriendly. read more

Went to get a drink which they made wrong- specifically with milk that i'm allergic to. I went back and told them this and asked for a new one, I was not rude at all. They acted like I was a burden and I was in the wrong when they were the ones who made a seven dollar drink incorrectly. When I got up to the window to get my new drink a lady with short white hair did not say anything, did not look me in the eye, basically threw the drink at me. Customer service was very rude when they were the ones who screwed the drink up in the first place, not a single apology rather just making me feel bad for not wanting to drink an allergen. We were waiting patiently in the very slow drive thru line, when other customers proceeded to beep at us and cut in front of us even though there was no where to go. We were then approached by a blue haired worker that told us we were being hostile and escalating the situation. This is not how employees should treat there customers. Great service and friendly employees. We went through the drive through today so that we could get out of the house for a little bit while still maintaining social distancing rules. The employees were so friendly and nice which was refreshing during these high tension times. The employee told us today was going to be a good day and it sure was. Underwhelmed. The line at the drive-through was long, so we parked and went in. You have to weave through all the tables (or customers at the counter) to get to the menu, at the far back of the room. I had a hard time reading it; it's set quite far back. There were multiple registers, but it was unclear where we should actually order, and although there were four or five people working (that is, they were moving around, presumably getting things for the drive-through or for customers who were seated), no one approached us for a while. When the young man did approach us, he was very friendly and apologized, so this is no reflection at all on him, just on the overall confusing set up. My husband had a $100 bill, and they couldn't break it, so we had to use the credit machine, which came up with an error message that our card was rejected, which the young man also apologized for and said keeps happening. Aside from all that, we were not tempted to stay and drink our beverages there; the room lacks any charm or coziness or anything that doesn't scream "you are basically sitting in a room in a parking lot next to a strip mall," which of course you are. The furniture seems straight out of Ikea, particularly when you compare it to some of the cozier spots in Exeter, which we'll return to next time instead. Even Dunkin's has a bit more charm. The drinks were good---just not good enough to outbalance the other negative issues. We won't be back. read more
