I love Ginger Fox, I have been a supporter of Jennifer for years and love everything she touches, she just does it right! Ginger Fox is whipping some amazing baked goods, one of my favorite items are the carrot cake cupcakes, light gentle pillows of deliciousness. They just hit RIGHT! The moisture soft cupcake and that frosting to die for, please stop in and grab one or twelve! I also love their egg sammies and coffee. Love this little cute cafe!! Every time I'm in the area I get their breakfast sandwich with bacon and it's always delicious. Recently I tried their strawberry latte with whole milk and it was very refreshing. All their baked goodies are all amazing as I've tried a lot but they also change it daily. As a gluten sensitive person it can be hard to find baked goods that really hit the spot. Ginger Fox 100% accomplishes this! I have yet to receive a dessert from here that I didn't absolutely love, including these cherry chocolate pistachio financiers, carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and espresso praline chocolate cupcakes. Such delicious food, we finished it before I even remembered to take a photo! The sandwiches were excellent, with tasty, fluffy, focaccia, and the pastries were also great, it was so hard to choose only a few! After a few failed attempts, due to hiccups in their opening week, I finally was able to try an array of pastries from Ginger Fox. Parking is hell and dangerous. They are busy and they don't have sufficient parking. Cars pulling in from Route 33 sometimes have to stop to wait for another car backing out. The risk of a serious rear end collision from a speeder on 33 is real. It's a bit stressful and I recommend overshooting the parking lot and parking along the road (if the lot near capacity) . Space inside is limited and there is no formal way to create a line so there is always confusion "Are you on line? ", "No, I'm just waiting", "I'm just getting coffee" kind of confusion. There is one slow cashier who is the bottleneck in the process. No one behind the counter has hustle in them and the service is unnecessarily slow. I hope they figure out a way to optimize the queuing and ordering. I shared the array of pastries at work and the feedback was lukewarm. The quality is certainly 5 stars but the flavors were quite muted. One item contained fig, but there was no detectable flavor, same with the pumpkin bread. The coffee was good. Beware that their selection changes rapidly and items sell out. When I first got online, I selected 2 items in the case that were sold out by the time I ordered. I am looking forward to trying their other creations. Laney and Lus, their other restaurant, is fabulous so I expect that the Fox crew will find their groove and produce at the same level of quality. read more

My first trip to this adorable bakery was a success for sure ! I tried the pistachio iced latte - so good I didn't think to snap a picture. Then... the best thing I have ever tasted is the Chocolate Chip Cookie Croissant. Just WOW I wish I lived closer and could get this every day, it's the perfect balance of croissant & salty, chocolatey perfection. The chocolate chip cookie was also soooo good , again the perfect balance of flavors. The maple bacon bars were really tasty when they while fresh! Of the 3 items I would say these need to be eaten fresh or they won't taste the way they're intended, I had one the day after purchasing and it was slightly more dry but still perfectly tasty. read more

I finally made it into this bakery! I'm a sucker for buttery baked goods and espresso and this bakery knocked it out of the park on both. After finishing the "Manners 101" class with my puppy Fig next door at the NHSPCA, I stopped in for a coffee because my bean grinder at home was on the fritz and I was feeling the need for caffeine. I told myself "you don't need any pastry, you were at Lil's yesterday and the whole holiday season has been coated in butter." Well that went out the window as soon as I saw all the glistening goodies just waiting to be tasted. Ordered myself a flat white with oat milk, a ginger carrot danish (wait what??) and an Apple Pie vanilla cruffin. The barista handed me my "cortado" and I was afraid it was going to be too bitter, a flat white has a little bit more milk than a cortado, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how perfectly balanced my espresso drink was. I cannot complain about the food, however, the service the last six times I've been here has made me not want to come back. The cashier is extremely rude and judgmental, makes me (and the others I've brought) uncomfortable. It seems like she gossips about their customers if they don't look a certain way, doesn't make me want to come back. The place is very small and it's impressive what they get done in such a small workspace. There is also not much room for customers to order, to wait to order, or to wait for their food or drinks. I've only been back because of the quality of the food. I do not feel welcome there by the cashier though, the rest of the staff seem to focus on their jobs, and they seem nice, but the face of customer service is rude and unapologetic. I wish I felt welcome there because the food is so good, but I don't think I'll be going back after that attitude so many times in a row. read more

The gingerbread cake was tasty but very heavy and dry, as in not fresh or over baked. The cream cheese frosting was superb as were the poached pairs on top. Pricing is on the high end. Had the focaccia been more flexible/ softer and the cake moist I would not have minded paying $20+ for the order. I haven't decided whether I'll go back yet. Been a longtime fan of Laney & Lu's so I was happy to finally be able to stop in this weekend. Got a few pastry items from the case. For a first timer, it took a second to get my bearings and find the printed menus on the to-go case. The pastries are all stunning - I picked a few items to share and grabbed a coffee as well. The croissant & pain au chocolate were both tasty and the crisp on the outside was fantastic; however, the interiors of both were breadier than you might expect. The cruffin was my favorite of the treats we got. The sugar-coated crust was delicious and the interior was closer in texture to traditional croissants. The vanilla cream was so light and fluffy and the raspberry was such a nice, tart counterpart. Overall, tasty and will happily return to try more items! read more

Ginger Fox is a GREAT addition to our area! Physically, this lovely bakery and cafe is a breath of Paris right in Stratham -- so pretty and so enticing. The baked goods are spectacular, frankly. While cake and muffins are never "healthy," you can rest assured that only the very best ingredients go into anything at Ginger Fox. The coffee is delicious, too. Oh dear, what can I say?!?!? The flavorless vanilla cupcake looked promising. I love the gourmet cupcake craze, but the one I tried had the consistency and flavor of a soft milk bone dog biscuit and its "butter cream" frosting was just that...butter. Not sweet, no vanilla flavor, not good. For $3.50, I expected something wonderful. Next came the "peanut butter" cookie fresh out of the oven. It looked great and while $4 is pricey for a cookie, I wanted a treat! The cookie was another culinary masterflop. No peanut butter taste, at all... and not sweet like a cookie. $4 wasted. I'm glad I did not shell out $15 for a "gourmet" panini. (To be fair, my friend ordered a quiche said it was delicious, so maybe ginger fox can do something right, but I'm not guessing it is the baking) I will not return. read more

The cake I ordered was as dry as dust. The only moist part of the 4 tier butter cream frosted cake was the 4 pieces of fruit on top. The cake was not sweet, the frosting was not sweet. It was like biting into cardboard with thick mortar paste. The logo for this business should not be a fox, perhaps a goat, or a jackal. Charging 70 plus dollars for a poorly make cake is not mischievous it's evil. read more

Ginger Fox is such a lovely, upscale addition to the area! The exterior is cute and modern, and the interior decor carefully chosen with an eye toward detail. But the shining star of course is the food. The signature breakfast sandwich on homemade focaccia is delicious. It is a wonderful mix of flavors and textures, and has quickly become one of my favorites in town. The pumpkin loaf is like a rich bite of fall. I'm looking forward to trying the bacon cheeseburger pasties and roast beef on a future visit. The price point is solid, too. In a time when fast food will commonly cost upwards of $15/pp? You can spend the same at Ginger Fox for a truly excellent, scratch breakfast sandwich. Parking can be tricky when they are busy, but patience will do the trick!
