It's a delicious combination between a cake and a dense bread, speckled with yummy dried cranberries throughout, and topped with powdered sugar. I spread a little butter on my first slice and I was in Heaven! Now for the bread. I purchased the freshly baked white bread and it tasted just as, if not better, than it looked. Put it this way, my husband doesn't eat bread but, when I sliced it open, he couldn't resist. We both agreed that it's some of the best bread we've had. The name Barking Sisters comes from the three rescue dogs the owners have and were displayed on a banner under their tent. They had one called Simple Assault which featured honey, habanero salt, and habanero sugar which the spice meets coffee was an instant selling point for me! Truly wish I saw this more frequently, loved how different it was! It was just enough heat in the back of your throat that made you go back and back for another sip, addictive in a manner! My wife got Mr. Sue that was honey, orange zest, cloves, & grains of paradise. Which was delicious as well and packed so much flavor while letting you still taste the coffee. Outstanding drinks and such unique offerings that I know they could make a killing with a physical location. Despite not having a physical location you can order their beans online and per signage at our visit and their website they care very much where they source their beans from! I used to pick up their smaller bags over at Birch Theory in Dover (definitely check them out if you haven't been!), but as soon as I saw they started offering 5lb bags, I jumped right on it. I grabbed a 5lb bag of their Steve Roast, and it is absolute perfection. I've also tried their Honey My Sue roast, which is equally amazing! What really sets Bryan and Jody apart is their incredible customer service. They personally reached out, sent me a video of my actual beans roasting, and even hand-delivered the bag right to me! That level of care is so rare. Barking Sisters is officially my new coffee supplier. I'm not sure which roast I'll try next, but I can't wait to watch their business grow and sample everything they brew up!
