This location is only drive-thru or walk-up window. No interior. Both the 'order' window and the 'pick-up' window are on the street side of the building. The walk-up window is on the back where you will find a couple of parking spots. Most of them were taken (by staff?) and there is one handicapped spot at the end of the row furthest from the walk-up order window on that side of the building. Watch for cars driving around the building before crossing! The two staff members we encountered were pleasant with a smile on their face and cheerful. I ordered a hot, house blend coffee with milk, so easy and quick. They also offer a dark roast if that's your preference. The coffee was a bit bitter, but not too much (as compared to another recent take away coffee I had) so that's a win with a nice amount of milk. The drive-thru lane took a couple of minutes. Nothing crazy. As the order and pick-up windows are only a car length apart, the order is made just before you receive it, so if someone has a large order, the line would move a little bit slower. It wasn't a busy time of the day and we were only the 4th car in line so it was a pretty quick visit. If we find ourselves in need of caffeine while in the area, I would try this Aroma Joe's again. read more

On a recent Saturday at around 2pm , I stopped at the Salem, NH location to give Aroma Joe's another try. I had with me the gift card I was sent from my first bad experience in October. The experience this time was a lot quicker, and the young woman who took my order was very pleasant. I wanted to try 2 different drinks; I still wanted to get the Dark Mocha and I also got the PB Mocha. I'm not quite sure I got either of those. They were both flavorless coffee with cream. Well, not entirely flavorless, they kind of tasted like a vinyl shower curtain. Both tasted exactly the same. No hint of chocolate, mocha, or even peanut butter. I took a picture of each drink and am attaching them as well. I dare you to pick which drink is which. The lids also did not fit and leaked all over me. I just don't understand if I'm missing something here. How am I supposed to order these coffees and get something flavorful or even something close to their description? They're allegedly supposed to be made with chocolate milk, and there definitely wasn't any in there. I didn't lose any money since I used a gift card but, am at a loss and just frustrated with my experiences with Aroma Joe's. read more

Yay! Aroma Joe's is open in Salem NH! I've been to the one in Derry and Salem and love their coffee! Great selection of breakfast sandwiches! Smoothies are unbelievable. Can't comment much other than the cold brew I had. The cold brew was a little darker than I would like, strength wise it was weaker than Starbucks but stronger than Dunkin. Service was speedy and there is ample parking around the location. read more

This is was our first time we have waited for this location to open and it was worth the wait!! The drive-thru is a little different you order right at the first window and pay. Then pick up at the second window. The staff is so wicked nice I loved it. Very friendly. The food was really good we had breakfast sandwiches and the biscuit is so goooood loved it. I was glad to have another option to Dunkins. When they first opened I looked forward to my morning stop, almost daily, for my medium coffee and english w/ bacon, egg and cheese. The two women, who opened, were friendly, polite and efficient... always pleasant recognizing a repeat customer. Then things went from good to not good when they hired a new person to open. The morning employee that now opens frustrates one when placing a simple order. Three times in a row I had to repeat my order at least 4-5 times. Seriously, medium coffee with cream one sugar does not need repeating several times. Even ringing up the order he is extremely slow. The fourth time I ended up by driving out because he couldn't even get past taking my coffee order without the multi repeating. With 2 Dunkins less than a ¼ mile away and a Heavenly Donuts too... you really want to loose customers with your new location. If i see his Jeep... I drive pass and go elsewhere. read more

Pretty disappointed in my visit today. I am from Maine, and get the same order every day without fail. I got to the window and ordered my drink; all sugar free raspberry Italian rush. First thing out of the baristas mouth "what's that?" I proceeded to tell her what was in it. The whole time she just seemed aggravated and short with me. After a few minutes of her confusion, told me my total, which was almost $3 more than it is at the aromas I frequent. Got to the second window, the two girls inside were arguing and yelled at each other. Gave me my drink. Had to remind her I paid for a bagel as well. Will not be returning. I just decided to stop on by. From out of state and haven't found many places with lattes or coffee that tastes good up here. This place has been a great discovery. It totally beats watery star$&cks by a long shot. The espresso is fresh and has great flavor. I've had the Irish Kicker twice now and it's wicked smooth. Nice little pick me up or start to the day. Staff has been great and friendly. I wish I would have found this place sooner. I don't know how the rest of these shops are, but this one is fantastic. read more

I used to go faithfully to the aroma Joe's in Derry and twice I got the same girl who was extremely rude so I refuse to go back and a few of my friends feel the same way I tried this aroma Joe's Broadway Salem and had the most pleasant experience from Josh what a wonderful and polite young man he should train on his customer service skills. This place WAS a 5 for me. I was coming here, easily 3 times a week. Staff was always super friendly and sweet. 2 of the girls always remembered my order which was awesome. I was usually pulling up roughly around 630am, no later. So the last time 2 times I went - I got a different girl, glasses, okay attitude. Asked her for a bagel with butter and if she could put the butter on it - I was driving from NH to Burlington, needed a quick bite. She looked at me with 10 heads and said "we usually don't, but I will today because there's no one is behind you" Oh okay, thanks... So today. Same girl, asked if she could put the cream cheese on my bagel - She literally stuck her head out the window to see if there was a car behind me and just looked at me like I kicked her puppy in the face. I said please... and apologized. Pull up to the window and she handed me my bagel, I glanced at the receipt, apparently 3 tubs of cream cheese is the cost for putting cream cheese on a bagel... $1.50 later for cream cheese and 3.50 for a bagel. Sad - but I'm not coming back. It was good while it lasted! read more

I really like these places. I mean, their coffee is a little weak and they use so much cream it's practically white, but that's not unlike other coffee shops - and their espresso is good! What IS unlike other coffee shops is that their employees seem genuinely happy to be here - they're cheerful, and talkative, intelligent and super friendly. And that's a really nice departure from your traditional Dunks worker who seems like they'd rather be anywhere but there. I don't think they bake anything on-site, so I can't say I'd recommend their donut holes, but their egg sandwiches are good! I prefer these guys to the other chain coffee shops every day of the week. read more

I had never been to an Aroma Joe's before. I saw one opened in Salem, NH and thought, why not give it a try? I was warned by several people to not waste my time. I usually order my coffee black anyway so I said to myself, "How bad could it be?!?" Famous last words..... It was probably the most DISGUSTING coffee I've ever had. It literally tasted like burnt dirt. Straight up horrible. I took one sip, stared at the cup in disbelief for maybe 30 seconds and took another sip just to make sure I wasn't going crazy. It immediately ended up in the trash of the Dunkins drive-through next door as I drove there immediately after to buy a real coffee. Never again. I also ordered my daughter a cinnamon roll from the same order and she thought it had no flavor what so ever. She took maybe three bites of it? How you screw up a cinnamon roll is beyond me. Anyway, yeah avoid this place like the plague and anyone who tells you it's good is either deranged or you're being trolled hard. Consider this a public service announcement. read more
