We tried out Ellie's for the first time. The eggs were supposed to be over medium and were didn't even make it to over easy. They were super runny and the whites weren't fully cooked. They were more like under easy and the peppers and onions were crunchy / not cooked. We did like the sausage and bacon and the French toast was ok enough but definitely skip the hash browns too. Unseasoned and bland. Add in that the woman seating people seemed to hate her life. It came off rude to many how she was directing people to the back waiting area "I can't have you all here" We are for sure "one and done" and after I typed this all out it hit me they're technically in Methuen but darn it, I am still gonna post it. We tried to decline a GC from the manager as we won't be going back but she brought one anyway. We won't use it.

While I grew up in Salem, NH - I loved to Los Angeles almost 20 years ago and every year at Christmas time look forward to my parents sending us Farmhouse Roasters Coffee at Christmas time. I wouldn't say we're exactly coffee snobs, but let's just say we like what we like, and enjoy nice dark blends. My wife and I have made it a bit of tradition to buy each other different types of artisan coffee around the holidays from many local shops, brewers, etc... and honestly, I think Farmhouse Roasters Farmhouse Blend beats anything out there. I feel like we're kind of "chasing the high" as we search for different coffees to try, and always come back to Farmhouse Roasters which is super consistent every time. The restaurant is great too, but honestly, we haven't been since pre pandemic so I can't give a detailed review... but it's worth it to simply load up on coffee if you're local or buy online... which we need to do more often.
