Limocello/Lemon mini desserts (These were amazing and they stopped making them, I wish they made them again!) Neopolitan: I've only had this ONCE! Then they stopped making it! I wish they made them again! Mousse: Good! Chocolate dipped french horns: Good! The vanilla cream filling/frosting is the best! I prefer it over the chocolate frosting/cream. Suggestions: The cake is a little dry. Something a little moister would be nice. I get vanilla cake slice at times and the cake is a little dry texture. MORE PUDDING!!!!! My husband and I visited the new store. It was so nice. Their was seating so we took our goodies, sat down and throughly enjoyed them! The cannoli was different but delicious. Couldn't believe there's actually a bakery with sugar free items the whole bakery is actually sugar free. Surprisingly tastes good. Didn't have high expectations while buying some items but gave it a shot and definitely was shocked. Honestly i gave the place 1 star for the somewhat friendly staff & the place was very clean. However, all of The cakes/ pastry taste old. The muffins are like play dough. The lobster tails were beyond stale Good luck you might even break a tooth if you're not careful. The only fair tasting items we're the mini cheesecakes. ( they also don't have a crust). I bought a birthday cake and it was sloppy as well as beyond dry. Everything just tasted very old. The truffles were absolutely disgusting. Hard as a rock and the chocolate barely melts. When I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, I was pretty disappointed that I would have to give up any and all treats that most women indulge in time to time during their pregnancy. By a stroke of luck I happened to find Chatila's! My husband was kind enough to stop in for me. He told me that all of the food had the corresponding net carbs openly posted, so it took the guesswork out of the whole process. We purchased vanilla cookies, a mini peanut butter cake, and cannolis. The food was so good I couldn't even tell that it wasn't made with "real" sugar. We talked to him and he gave us free samples after we told him we drove all the way from Quincy to Salem to try their bakery for a friend who is diabetic and loves sweets. Fantastic! That's the first word that comes to mind. Everything is sugar free and gluten free in the shop. You wouldn't know by the taste that it is though. We enjoyed a strawberry cheesecake and a slice of apple pie. Both were amazing. I sampled the pumpkin ice cream. It's also really tasty. This review is for an online purchase only: I found Chatila's Bakery items online on the Linda's Diet Delite's web site. The two items I purchase every year are the chocolate whoopie pies with vanilla cream (very chocolately cake) and the chocolate "donuts" with vanilla cream (less chocolately cake). The donuts have no hole and are really a disc of cake with cream filling inside. I really like that both of these products as they do not contain sugar (instead agave for the whoopie pie and malitol for the "donut"), and that both are relatively low in calories. Well I don't like to give bad reviews but I must for this place. This is just for the online store. I ordered the low carb donuts ,the sugar free cookies ,and the low carb muffins. First of all it took more than a month to get to me. The donuts were delicious but they sent the muffins with mold on them..cookies were good. Also there were no nutrition facts and I had to look it up online which isn't good.I follow a mostly low carb diet and want to know the calories. If I had an allergy wouldn't be good not Knowing. Also everything was just thrown together and not packaged nice. Very expensive for not being fresh. I'm very dissapointed as I love the donuts but will not be ordering again as the mold was unacceptable as well as the timing and packaging. I went to Chatila's recently, I was going to spend about 50.00 and buy several gift certificates. As I walked in I was told I had to wear a mask. I have a serious respiratory problem and can not wear one. I was told I could not shop here and I had to leave and person working the counter was very rude. I've been shopping here for about 20 years including the old location. I will never go there again and urge anyone with a heath impairment, They don't care about you and your problems. My aunt introduced me to this bakery a few years ago. WELL worth the 45 minute drive, as there are no gluten-free or sugar-free bakeries on the North Shore at all. I love that they have started to use Agave as their primary sweetener in a lot of their products, instead of sucralose (Splenda). Mohammed is a very friendly guy, and recognizes his regular customers. I've been buying goodies from Chatila's for many years. I try to eat healthy, and having the option to buy sugar-free, low fat muffins and pastries really help me stay on track. The original muffins are delicious. The "New Generation" muffins are okay, but are made with almond flour which gives them a slightly weird texture. I recently tried a boston cream donut...I wouldn't recommend it. It was NOTHING like the boston cream's at Dunkin's, but then again, it's sugar-free and low fat. The whoopie pies are AMAZING. I've tried all of their pies and cookies, and they are really good. Their cheesecakes are delicious, especially considering how figure-friendly they are. They also make yummy mountain bread, which is great for making wraps or even using as a thin pizza crust. I don't go there extremely often, as the prices are a bit high, but I'll definitely continue to buy from them when I want to splurge a little. I was so excited to find a sugar free bakery with low carb options. I had gone a few times and grabbed little treats. I decided since everything had been so good, to order a cake. They only had one low carb/keto cake so I went with the sugar free cake instead. They told me it would be $25. They asked me how I wanted the cake (frosting etc) and asked if I wanted fruit. I said yes, they did not mention it was an extra charge. Another family member of mine picked up the cake for me on Father's Day. When I looked at the cake at home, I was not impressed with the look. Their cakes online look so amazing. This looked messy and rushed. Some of the berries still had the greens on them and were not cut. I said okay, as long as it tastes good! Given this bakery's detailed website, I figured they were a decent establishment based on review and testimonials. I found them online because I wanted to buy a sugarfree cake for a baby shower. However, every single time I called over the course of TWO weeks, the phone was not answered ONCE and always went to the recording. I sent my order over email for a sheet cake with some decorations and the price went from $60 to an astronomical $145. Needless to say, someone else will get my business for this shower. P.S. When my mother went in there to check out the place, she was in there for at least ten minutes before being acknowledged. The woman that runs this has zero customer service skills and is more concerned with proving her policies than having a happy customer. The products are NOT shipped at all adequately (handful of packing peanuts allowing the product to bounce around freely). I ordered a cake from Yummés and let me tell you the difference between them and Chatila's is night and day. There they care about the customer experience from beginning to end. They will go out of their way to ensure everything is right. Here, they seem to care less. Now to get to how the products taste. I am sorry but they are not appetizing at all.
