Closest Starbucks to me, so I'll come here quite frequently to get some work done--wherein lies the the 3 star rating. The music is just too damn loud. Speakers are right above the big table with the most space for productivity. I have asked politely in the past for it to be turned down a few notches, but to no avail. I have no other criticisms. This Starbucks location is a hot mess at best. Unfortunately, it is the only Starbucks around for quite a distance, so I go back. And kick myself. Every. Single. Time. Why, you ask? Incompetence, poor customer service, slow service, pick one. The last 3 out of 4 times I've been here, I've gotten a completely incorrect drink. I could see forgetting to use soy instead of dairy milk, etc, but no, that's what happens on a good day at this location. The past 3 times I've been here, I've received a drink that was nothing close to what I order. Like I'm talking coffee instead of tea. Or mocha instead of vanilla. No joke. And I always order mobile here so that there is no excuse as to why the order is incorrect. The past few times, the manager, Eric, has been nice and apologized and fixed the order for me, sometimes giving me a comp gift card too. And I appreciate that and all but I would love to have my order correct and made in a reasonable amount of time even more. The lines here are awful on weekend mornings (not sure about weekday) so expect a wait of at least 10 minutes, even if you've placed your order through their app. Parking can be a nuisance in the lot due to the popularity of the shopping center. BUT, on the flip side, this place provides an awesome opportunity to practice patience and kindness ;-) read more

By far the worst Starbucks location we've ever been to every time we try to give them the benefit of the doubt the keep making mistakes. I don't know if it's because we're a larger family but they keep mistaking our drinks and/or not making them until one of our children realize that theirs is taking longer than usual and even at times we've had to request the barista to please make our drinks as it's been way too time consuming and upsetting for the wait or even to have to ask for a drink that's been in que for more than 5/10mins. I would give a zero star but it's not possible. Hopefully they get it together before we even decide to come back to this location. read more

Note that I'm rating this Starbucks against other Starbucks not against some idealized version of a coffee shop. I think most people know what they are getting into when they walk into a Starbucks and as far as that experience goes, I think this Starbucks is about as good as they come. The place is clean, the staff are friendly, and there is a generally good vibe among the customers: a nice combination of people who are grading papers, doing some reading, catching up with friends, and grabbing a coffee in between shuttling (chauffeuring?) kids between sports practices, play dates, etc. Because this Starbucks is up in the Plaza del Mercado there is always plenty of parking out front. I mostly go in on weekends, so I can't speak to how busy it gets during the week, but when I've been there it is usually not hard to find a place to sit and work. This is the worst Starbucks I have been to. I like to do mobile ordering in the morning. To many times I have found that they give me iced coffee instead of cold brew. (Although it might not seem like a big deal there is a $3 dollar difference in the drink) If I catch it before I leave I get an attitude and they deny the mix up but after they make the correct drink it is much darker as the cold brew should be. Today they put it in the wrong size cup. Realized then grab a larger cup and topped my coffee of with another inch a half with milk. Avoid this Starbucks. read more

I never understand how this Starbucks manages to screw up every single drink that I get. I got a grande nitro cascara cold foam and the barista puts cream at the bottom of a venti cup, fills it up with nitro and says the foam is at the bottom. After waiting 10 minutes and ordering through the app 10 minutes in advance it wasn't worth arguing over. The Starbucks in olney are a lot nicer and care about making your drink right! read more

Where do I begin... I have been going to this Starbucks regularly for the past 3 years to do school work. The employees here are so spectacular when it comes to getting your order, to their bright personalities. I feel like i walked in to see my family when I go there because they truly care. Especially this one barista named Faith, who will brighten up any room she walks in and invests herself when making sure you get the drink you want. They always remember or are curious about how their customers are doing and always remember names. If you are ever considering a place to get food, drinks, a place to do homework, or even a place to just hangout. I STRONGLY recommend this Starbucks hands down. read more

By far, one of the BEST coffeehouse experiences I've ever had! Jeanette is a sweetheart! I explained to her that I love tea, but have to drink decaf. She pointed out some of the flavors and which ones would steep well together.... all of this while ensuring that the house was still running smoothly. Would give this location a 5 star review, however the past few times I've been here some of the workers have been on their cell phones wondering around as there is a line out the door. I know I'm just getting a coffee, but it is still a bit annoying to see people just blatantly ignoring a busy atmosphere. Other than that small annoyance this is a good Starbucks. Lots of room to hang on the sofa and chill with your iPad. They have never screwed up a coffee for me and they're always in stock with food items. Some starbucks are always out of the breakfast sandwiches or yogurts or sandwiches, this location seems to always be in stock. I have been visiting starbucks more often recently because of my app, offers for free drinks, etc. I don't usually visit unfamiliar locations due to the unfamiliarity to my liking. Anyway, my friend asked if I could bring her a Caramel Mocha and that was the closest location available. As soon as I arrived the cashier(Faith) asked for my order. She straight off the bat had a nasty attitude. Seemed uninterested in taking my order, side conversing with the other workers, etc. As I wait for what seems over 10 minutes for my drinks I notice I received the caramel mocha hot. Which I was never asked whether I wanted it hot or cold. Me being a new customer, am I supposed to know if i don't specify hot or cold, I will receive it hot? The African American barista wasn't even acknowledging me when I told him I wanted it cold. He kept saying he doesn't know what I want when i specifically said i want it COLD. The cashier kept giving an attitude as if just wanting to get rid of me when I know if you don't like the way your drink is they have no problem remaking it. I quite frankly don't believe that these workers even know what good customer service is. All of the customers were staring because of the dramatic behavior of the workers. I will never be returning to this location. The worst I have yet been to. By the way, I only gave this location 1 star because I cant give 0. read more

This Starbucks is known for low quality employees. I've heard of many negative comments over the years (no positive comment). I ordered an iced cappuccino and the barista put no foam. I told her she didn't put foam, but she said "but it's iced" and it doesn't get foam. I know my iced cappuccino at other stores have foams. I checked Starbucks recipe online and it does. This Starbucks' employees are clearly not educated, and customers are not getting what they are paying for. I will remember and avoid coming here again. Waste of money. read more

Great place to study. They have plenty of indoor seating and outlets, but people usually sit for a very long time, so get there early or at non peak hours to grab spot, especially if you're picky. Outdoor seating is also available. Drinks are usually well made, though there have been a few mistakes from time to time. I'm giving them three stars instead of five primarily because service is spotty depending on whose there and they tend to run out of things (straws, drink toppings, syrups) frequently. I come in almost everyday when I'm at my parent's home (usually in the summers) and generally don't get a smile, a greeting, or even asked for my name. I don't like that they don't call drinks, especially since they are very very slow and drinks sometimes take up to 10-15mins to get made. Since I generally consume in house, I'd like to take a seat and get started on work and not stand at the counter for that long. The line is usually long and it takes them a while to get through it. I also feel like I sometimes get an attitude when I ask for coffee/tea refills, etc. Some of the baristas are not informed of some of the Starbucks policies so it can make for an awkward exchange at the register sometimes. As someone who is a "regular" and drops money at Starbucks 3-4 times a week both here and at home, I expect better service. I'll still visit because the drinks are generally well made, it's around the corner and there's decent study space and fast wifi, but I won't expect much on the service side. read more

Turns out the mobile pickup is where you order, which if you know this makes for a speedier pickup since it is closer to the door. The staff is usually very personable, but the one star is for the abominable wait time. The disorganization is laughable! There can be 5 people behind the bar and the line will move at a glacial speed. If you order an iced coffee, they will make you wait for the barista rather than just making it. I have had the most consistently poor service at this branch, but the experience I had today topped it all. I waited more than 30 minutes for my drink, watching many others who came in after me leave before me with their drinks. The problem lay with the person in charge of the iced and frappe drinks. While it was a busy time and she was handling a lot, she was not doing a good job of managing the girl who was trying to support her with pre-mixing and was not getting it right. The person managing the iced drink kept throwing out one particular mixture and impatiently telling the girl to mix it again, without any direction on how to fix it. And for some reason the drink she was having issues with was mine. Each time she threw out the mixture, she moved on to another person's, moving me back to the end of the line. This happened at least 10 times. I had my husband waiting in the car in the heat, with our dogs, and groceries. I was so upset, I rushed out of there when the person got the drink done. Please train your employees to be mindful of the overall customer experience, and if a drink is taking longer to make than usual, it is courteous to offer a voucher for the inconvenience. I have noticed that the folks at this branch in particular seem clueless when it comes to creating a positive customer experience. It does not get a vote of confidence to come back here even though its so close to my house. read more
