Behind the barista they have drink refrigerators and other things eben a concealed kitchen area to make all your favorite foods you can ever want here you cant find anywhere else. This plave has the est staff you'll ever encounter fulled with mi Ligente, My people the Spanish who I have been told I belong with and they are right . It's a nice, little Latin style bakery. The flavor sits somewhere between American and Korean cakes. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They will warm up your empanadas or pack everything nicely. I stop by here every time I have a meeting in the area. There are only two tables and some chairs inside. It's more of a pickup place. The cakes are good. I love the selection of snack-able bakery items too that go very well with hot coffee. I'm also happy to see horchata available in the cold section ready to go. So disappointed... I stopped by on Thursday 5/14/26 to get a few cupcakes for my daughters birthday, only to be disappointed.. they were OLD and STALE, the bread was hard when you bit into it and the icing had an old taste, these were not fresh at all the 3 people that tried them said the same thing as soon as we bit into them, who knows how many days they have had them in display. They were soooo gross we had to throw them all away. Wish i could get my money back. read more

It has been a while since I last visited this spot. I decided to get a pastry (Cannoli) and a dessert (Tiramisu). Cannoli The cannoli I got was topped with a chocolate covered strawberry and had chocolate sprinkles at both ends of the pastry. The leafy green part of the strawberry was not edible, so I had to remove that prior to eating. As I ate the cannoli, I realized the shell was not crispy at all and there was no crunch to it. I don't eat this pastry much, but I am sure it is not supposed to be as soft as this one was - not sure what happened there. Due of the texture, I really didn't get a chance to fully enjoy this pastry as much as I wanted to and left most of it unfinished. Tiramisu The Tiramisu was great. Initially I thought there would be more cream than cake based on the presentation of the dessert - it looks that way. Once I started eating it, I discovered the cake to cream ratio was on point, and I was happy about that. The cream was light in taste and not overly sweet which was a perfect balance. An updated review on passion bakery! The usual here is generally their cakes or pastries but my boyfriend and I decided to try out their breakfast items. He had the omelette but I had their breakfast platter and a hot chai. I was a bit disappointed as I was told they weren't able to make any cold beverages at the moment so I changed my iced caramel macchiato order. Staff has always been friendly and accommodating to their customers. It is a small cafe so not really a study area for the public. read more

I found this place when searching for bakeries near Prince Phillip Dr in Olney. I decided to venture here because I didn't want to take the tradition "donuts" to my PTSA meeting that night. The bakery is small and so I figured for sure the items would be relatively fresh. I was so wrong. I decided to purchase all of the cupcakes they had on the shelf that day, which came up to about 27. I would have been better off getting donuts at any donut store, grocers etc. The cupcakes were decorated beautifully and I was super excited to share them at the PTSA meeting. However, after biting into on myself, it crumbled in my hand like a 3 day old, dried out cupcake and I mean DRY. Needless to say, I shan't be purchasing from this location again. read more

I got my husband a slice of the tres leches as that's his favorite and decided on the chocolate mousse for myself. The number one factor that makes or break whether a cake is good or not to me is if it's moist, and both of them were. I liked the chocolate shavings on my cake. Aside from pastries, they also serve breakfast and lunch, and beverages (hot and cold). There is limited seating inside and patio seating. Gift cards are available. Good bakery and pastry cafe plus breakfast option. A little tiny dining seat inside but there are few outdoor tables. Peaceful place and nice location - lots of free parking. I am their customers for a long time but I only have tried cakes, pastries and cookies. I never have any problem. I ordered two by the slice or mini cakes from the display counter: one by recommendation of the attendee, tres leches mini cake, and the other a strawberry and some type of clotted cream puff. Okay, the tres leches was not good at all and was more than halfway frozen so shards of icey, milky not so goodness. The Puff was better with the clotted cream and strawberries tasting good, but the pastry or puff tasting a bit stale. Ok, I'm not going to drive all the way back to complain about a frozen tres leches cake and stale puff so I just chalk it up to bad luck, but with prices being what they are these days for over 10 dollars for one subpar desert and another frozen one, yeah not going to give them another shot sadly. read more

Shoutout to our local community heroes! Like Elmer and staff! Easily to locate by CVS pharmacy! They have been here for at least 4 years and I just figured it out! I have been having some one get their famous dark chocolate mousse cake from the Passion Bakery location in Olney. Thanks to everyone here on Yelp, I now realize how close this amazing bakery was to me all this time! The staff here is awesome! We ordered our cake on Monday for pick up on Wednesday. They said no problem!! I was stoked! This decadent cake was so on point that we now specifically order this for our chocolate cake needs! Again not want... NEED! This cake was a game changer! And I am not even a chocolate lover by definition, but I do define this a whole food category by it's own rights! Dark chocolate shavings, moist chocolate cake, and chocolate mousse that makes your mouth water just for thinking about it! While I was there in the shop, Elmer helped me out with getting some other tasty things: tamales, pastries, to include beautiful macarons made here !!! I saw patrons come in to enjoy some giant sandwiches! Tortas! There's a good breakfast menu and many different drinks in the coolers. I even bought 2 gallons of Kirkland milk, probably since Costco is also located across the way! I love this venue! I was a great blessing to find my birthday candles here too! I have been to Passion Bakery several times over the last 4 years or so. I am not exaggerating when I say that EVERYTHING I've ever eaten here is DELICIOUS!!! The Tres Leches is exquisite! The mini Cheesecakes and Oreo Cheesecakes are BOMB!! The Strawberry Napoleon cakes are Amazing!! The Blueberry Muffins are Blueberry Muffining!!! And the team here are super friendly and very helpful. I can't say enough good things about the pastries and baked goods at Passions Bakery! The only negative thing I can come up with is the negative impact on my waistline if I eat here too many days in a row, lol! Thank God for treadmills and cardio! So Ive been exposed to this bakery before I knew where and what this bakery was. My mother's friend always brings a tres leches and cake topped with fruit to all of her gatherings. My mom finally told me from where! A few weeks ago, I went in with my mom to pick up a few sweets for my friend and bf. Out of all the yummy choices I settled on some cupcakes. I got 1 red velvet, 1 cookies and cream and 1 vanilly with strawberry. The recipients of these desserts told me that they were delicious. My mom shared half of her personal size tres leches with me and I was over the moon. lol Its like baby angel unicorn fair dust cover in gold in your mouth. Its not too sweet or wet either. It was just perfect.....It was so perfect that I went back a week later to get my own personal tres leches. Ok my boyfriend got his own too. At first glance, their cakes and pastries look absolutely beautiful and seem reasonably priced for whole cakes at a specialty bakery. Definitely a popular, bustling neighborhood bakery. Rightfully so. Staff was friendly & helpful though they were quite busy in this small storefront. It was our first time visiting, and we bought a variety of slices to sample their wares before buying a full cake. This was a bit disappointing because it seemed that they must slice up cakes that didn't sell and sell them by the slice at a hefty price. How could we tell? The cream tasted like it had some fridge burn from being in there too long. You know...when whipped cream gets that filmy, congealed dried out, chunky kinda texture & tastes a bit blah like the fridge (not as strong as freezer burn yet noticeably affects the creamy sweetness you anticipate but don't get). At $4-$5 a pop, I'm not willing to return to pay for day old cake each tasting ok with detectable hints of flavorings but not with memorable flavors that I expect for a specialty bakery. Bottom line: From the numerous slices we purchased, the overall quality for a specialty bakery wasn't much over the grocery store or Costco bakery. While at Costco, Giant, Harris Teeter, Safeway, etc., you don't always get cakes & pastries as pretty as the ones at Passion, they are quite tasty and a much better value. If you want pretty, customized cakes, that don't wow the tastebuds, choose the bakery but expect to pay for it. If looks aren't a priority but value and taste matter more, choose the grocery store or Costco bakery. read more

Their cakes are amazing --moist, high quality ingredients, not too sugary, and very reasonably priced. We've been trying to support local businesses, so we'll having fun trying a new cake every week.
