Only 1 staff member employed. It's challenging to manage customers in person and online orders. Establishment needs to do better instead of overworking one person. Customers walked out and left because the wait was too long. Location is dirty.

Top: Brookie, Chocolate Chip, Reverse Bottom: Reverse, Cookie Butter, German Chocolate (4.1.25)

4.1.25 My friend and I came today and ordered half a dozen of cookies. We selected two reverse, one chocolate chip, one German chocolate, one brookie and one cookie sugar. We both agreed that they were dense, decadent, and on the undercooked side. I prefer my cookies more crunchy and crispy or at the very least crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I have a sweet tooth, but it was way too sweet for even me. We cut each cookie into six pieces and shared it with our colleagues, and I took one of the reverse cookies home for my hubby. Hubby loved the reverse cookie. He reheated it when I brought it home. Because it is too sweet and I prefer my cookies firmer, I am unlikely to return. It's just a matter of preference not to say that they were bad. I want to give a shout out to the very friendly staff who were all very welcoming and cheerful. I asked how long they had been open and one of them said four months.

We were visiting friends today and they requested cookies. Welp, it's a Sunday so Crumbl and Potomac Cookie (the spots closest to us) are both closed. Luckily, Dirty Dough was open and a five minute drive from our friends! The inside is bright and clean. There was one person working behind the counter taking orders and distributing the online orders. He was busy! We got a half dozen cookies. He realized that he accidentally put one in the box that we hadn't ordered, so we gave us an extra cookie on the house to make up for it. This means we got to try all of the cookies available that day (with the exception of the gluten free one), including the specials. They were best while still warm. I have to give Crumbl a slight edge on this one because their cookies hold up better/stay soft after they're no longer warm. These cookies were still good but not as soft/had a more "sugary" consistency. I do appreciate that they're open on Sundays!

New cookie place in the neighborhood. And I like it. I'm not a huge fancy cookie person (my usual is an Oreo thin) but walked in the other night and ordered a Reverse and a Chocolate Chip. Each was about $5. The server gave them to me, each in its own box, and explained the reheating instructions. I took them home and dug into the Reverse. Delicious. And very rich. Ok. So the cookies here are 150 calories "per serving," but the serving size is 1/4 cookie. At first I rolled my eyes at that, but then, after taking a few forkfuls, I put 3/4 of the cookie in the fridge, put the chocolate chip in the freezer and went about my business. Yes, I'm sure lots of people eat an entire cookie, but, for me, eating part of the cookie was very satisfying and I had more the next day after putting in the microwave for 15 seconds and it was delicious. It's nice having Dirty Dough in the neighborhood. I typically don't see a lot of folks inside, so I hope it makes a go of it. Quoting Mickey Goldmill from Rocky II - what I was thinking when I took the attached cookie picture - "definitely a thing of beauty." : )

Great spot to enjoy some pretty good cookies with the family. Cookies were best eaten warmed and also not shown had great drinks. Kids loved it some were too sweet but others just right.

Headed to Dirty Dough to support a fundraiser and purchased two stuffed cookies. They were soft and definitely sweet. The service was good (we were the only customers at the moment) and the cashier offered his recommendations and answered questions I had as well. The ambiance in the shop is bright (lots of teal) and simplistic. There is a window seat bench inside to wait for your order, but there are several tables right outside. There is free 2-hr garage parking on the lower level of Garage C.

I am quite literally in the mood for a good cookie so I sought this place out while in the area. I had heard good things about them from a friend so I was glad I could finally try. I found a parking spot right out front of the store so that was a plus. The shop wasn't busy when I arrived and I was greeted immediately. The service was quick and pleasant. Their menu flavors seemed a bit limited but I believe it changes weekly. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie and a brookie for later. They were both big and I enjoyable. The cookies weren't mind blowing but they were good. I would go again to check out more cookie options.

Stopped in for a quick dessert. They had a good selection of cookies with thier 6 main cookies and then a few that rotate weekly. We got the cookies n cream which was one of their standard cookies and it was great. Soft inside with a bit of crunch around the outside. However the cookie butter one we got was a bit too soft for our liking. It almost tasted like it was undercooked. The flavor was great but would have like it to be a bit more cooked. Either way we still ate them both. The location itself was very clean, bright and open as well.

Just walking past after dinner and saw this place was really busy so thought it must be good. I got a "Dirty Scoop" which is junda like a massive ice cream sandwich they serve in a clam shell container. My wife got a stuffed cookie. Both were actually awesome! i see why this place has become so popular. Staff were very friendly. We will probably take out a 1/2 dozen for our kids next time. Worth a try!

There are cases filled with pastries. Service was great. I was waited on right away and they packed my box in a bag with a handle, to make it easier to carry. Au revoir, for now! There's seating inside, but the seating area is pretty small and some people were at tables looking like they weren't going anywhere anytime soon. It was a nice morning, so we were able to grab an outside picnic table. The service was decent. One disappointment was when the counter person asked me if I wanted room for cream in my coffee, I said yes and asked if they had nondairy products. She said they had almond and soy. I asked for soy and she returned with my drink. When I went to pay, I saw they charged 79 cents for almond, soy and oatmilk. Ok. Here's the thing. I assume it's on the board and I should have looked, but she also could have mentioned it. Also, charging for these items when they put a little in your coffee leaves me feeling like I'm being abused for not being a dairy person. I get it - it's a pastry shop and the items are buttery and rich from cream. But please - 79 cents for a little soy milk? (I know this isn't uncommon for coffee shops, but it doesn't make it right.). And the coffee ($4.25) was decent - not great. I expected better (richer, more flavorful) coffee from a nice pastry shop like this. Anyway, it's a nice neighborhood place and there's a lot of treats there.

Last Sunday, I wanted to happily buy a cake for Mother's Day but after I already paid as price tag was shown. The owner suddenly came over and said there was an extra charge because it was a "Mother's Day Special" . Apparently "Special" means rising the price by surprising their customers. Honestly, if there's a holiday surcharge, I would truly understand! But it should be clearly stated before payment -- not after. Very disappointing experience. I only bought it because my mom loves mango cake, but I definitely won't be coming back again I am pretty certain that you're not allowed to raise the price on an item already paid for. It's not the money. It's the principle. This is unethical.

3.5 stars for me. Items are decent but not amazing…read more We ordered the fruit sponge cake for a party and stopped by in the morning to pick out some additional pastries. We came around 9am and they had a decent selection of buns. We got a mix of baked pork buns, pineapple buns, custard buns, and the lotus wrapped sticky rice. Items were individually wrapped. Egg tarts weren't ready yet. I was pleasantly surprised to find the white sugar rice cake. At approximately $3-$6 per item (give or take), it came to ~$50. The pork bun was dry and skimpy on filling. Since we came right at opening, I'm not sure if it was yesterday's pastries since some shelves were still empty. The white sugar rice cake was good, but not the best I've had. I don't come across this dessert as often as I like, so finding it at Asian Bakery Cafe was a treat. They also have moon cakes, roll cakes, and a small freezer for take-home dim sum. The Asian sponge fruit cake, which was our primary reason for stopping by, was adequate. Again, it wasn't the worst I've had, but it also wasn't the best I've had. The sponge cake was light and not too sweet (an Asian dessert standard), but it wasn't life-changing or anything to write home about. The cake had nice presentation from the packaging of the box (tied with a ribbon bow) to the icing and fruit on top. Fruit toppings included cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, kiwi, and peach. Fruit distribution in the filling was uneven and sparse. The cake met our needs but I wouldn't necessarily choose this bakery over another. I do want to highlight their service. When we picked up the cake, the worker kindly carried the cake for us and put it in our car. Five stars for service!

They do also sell a variety of drinks, teas, and even greeting cards. Here is how everything was: The Chocolate mousse shooters with whipped cream (2 oz) was definitely decadent, but grainy tasting as well. It was tough to get over the texture of something so rich that was meant to be smooth and wasn't. I liked the Salted Caramel Cheesecake Shooters (2 oz) a bit more because of the different flavors (the cheesecake layer being my favorite). The Chocolate Covered Strawberries were nice, but the strawberries were tart (which is definitely tough to gauge). Lastly, the buttercream on the Mini Cupcake was overly sweet and the cupcake was not as moist as I would have anticipated. There is limited parking (outdoor) outside the shop, but it is free.

The new owner was a good dude. He provided great service, was very friendly & personable, and has lots of goals & innovations that he wants to accomplish for the business. I had a couple of items I wanted to try, but some of them weren't available. On my first trip, I got the carrot cupcake $3.95 and the Oreo cupcake $3.95. On my second trip, I came back to get my birthday gift they gave me which was $10 store credit, and got both of the cupcakes and a cinnamon crunch scone. Also, the near $4 price tag for the size of these cupcakes isn't something I'm too fond of, but oh well. - The carrot cake cupcake was good: the icing and cake complemented each other very well. - The Oreo cupcake was alright, but I wasn't impressed with it. - The cinnamon crunch scone was an easy miss for me, didn't do anything for my taste buds. Overall, it's a decent spot with a relatively limited amount of pastries but I fully expect in the coming months for the business to take a huge shift and really blossom.
