I visit my parents in San Tan Valley for a few weeks in the spring and a few weeks in the winter. I've been coming here for years to work and get my caffeine fix. The manager and her staff are just lovely. I'm always greeted with a smile. The energy is positive. They genuinely seem happy to see you. Now, regarding the 1-star reviews. Wow, folks are just petty and small. Ignore them. And if you come on an off day, give the staff some grace. This place has super high volume, so I can imagine it won't be perfect every time you come here. read more

I waited in line for nearly an hour this morning at the Starbucks store in San Tan Valley (AZ 85143) for the release of the new Bear Cup, only to watch the first person in line purchase all 12 available cups while staff allowed it. I and many other customers had arrived early and were patiently waiting--this policy (or lack thereof) is profoundly unfair. Starbucks should implement a purchase limit for collectible or special-edition items so that all customers have a fair chance, not allow one person to clear out the stock. This behavior shows a disregard for loyal customers and creates frustration and resentment. I hope Starbucks leadership reviews how this store handled the situation and ensures fairer treatment going forward. Desired resolution: * A clarification of company policy for limited-edition items like these. * A guarantee that future releases will include a clear limit per customer (e.g., 1-2 per person) and enforcement thereof. * An apology or acknowledgement of how the situation affected customers. When going to see my new place of employment, I discovered this location, and being I was a bit early, not knowing how long it would take me to get to the new employer, I decided it was a great opportunity to get a drink and a pastry. This location is nice, very clean, and really well stocked with merchandise to buy during your visit in. The employees are friendly and always helpful. The ambience is quiet yet inviting. Plenty of tables for sit-in dining, working or gaming with a laptop, or just hanging out with friends enjoying a coffee. The employees take their time to make your drink just as you specify, if not even better. This location is in the heart of a shopping center so there are plenty of parking places, including right outside the doors and the drive up line is easily accessible as well. I'm very disappointed. Services aren't getting any better. It's not the first time this has happened. Ordered oatmeal with all the options, fruit, and nuts. Received the oatmeal with no spoon no sugar, fruit, or nuts. Went back inside and stood there several minutes as 2 employees looked at me but didn't help. The young gal that did had a sour attitude as if she didn't want to be there and didn't care whether the customer was helped or not. With that time wasted, I'm now late for work. Just visited this Starbucks for the first time. Nice, new store - everything inside is clean and organized. A very pretty employee named Nicole greeted me - she was very friendly, and had a big smile on her face when I approached the counter. My order was taken, and my grande white chocolate mocha was in my hands after just a few short minutes. Placed an order online to save having to go through the drive thru as I'm on my way to work. As I had recently done before after standing at the door several minutes someone finally told opened the door and told me they no longer do it or at least not until 7am and I would need to wait in line with all the other cars. I told her to cancel my order and I would go across the street she asked my name and will check to see if it's ready. The manager proceeded to bring me the order. She to told her me they were understaffed and have changed to their receiving hours to 7:00 a.m. She handed me my order and I left. I proceeded to call the Starbucks in Safeway and she said she's open at 6:00 a.m. and was willing to take my order I explained what had happened and told her I would see her next time. So let me start of by saying this is truly one of my favorite Starbucks, the girls are super nice, they know me by name, walk in always greeted with a smile. But lately I don't know if it's just they are tired like the rest of us but they are really slipping in making drinks correctly. This is the 2nd time in less than a week I have had to correct my drink. Saturday I went in, ordered my usual and the Barista was nice made conversation but then I go my drink and it wasn't what I ordered. Come to find out they were out of an ingredient to make the drink so he assumed what he made would be ok. I pay $6-$7 for the drinks I order, NO it's not ok to make what you think will be ok. Then this morning, I order pick up. The barista says hey, here you go and I stopped her No that's not correct and I have to tell her what's missing. Do you assume you know what your making? Or do you even look at the label that's printing before putting it on the cup? I mean every person is spending a pretty penny for you guys to make the coffee, they aren't cheap. The least you could do is let a person know your missing ingredients and read the order. I try not to complain but it definitely is frustrating. read more
