My husband went over and got a Breve (a latte made with half and half), and it was very good and creamy. We learned that they also sell pastries on Fridays and Saturdays. Drive thru was busy in the morning, but walk in wasn't too bad. I quickly moved my car and walked inside. I was greeted upon entering. My go-to when I try a new coffee shop is a honey cinnamon oat milk latte, which was made quickly. Coffee wasn't great but it was good. A little too sweet and I like sweet so you can imagine how sweet it was. I got cookie dough white mocha based on recommendation. A little confusing navigating to get in and order with the drive thru and all. Interesting concept with ammunition sold there too. I came in on a Saturday around 7:45 am and wanted a regular coffee. I was told they were out at the moment but they could do an Americano.... I didn't see pricing for the Americano but I needed coffee....it came to $7.25 for a large Americano that is crazy.... I believe a large drip coffee is like $4. Awesome coffee. Barista told us the owner roasts the beans himself! Locally owned and operated. Prices are comparable if not better than other large brand coffee shops. Husband and kids loved it as well. Nice, covered sitting area outside. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have a good selection of ammo- husband said that they have all the common ones as well as a few "off the wall" ones that aren't as common. We will definitely be coming back! They definitely need to figure out a new concept for the drive thru (ie doing what Dutch does and having people come take the orders instead of exclusively ordering at the window). The coffee here is great, I always go with the desert eagle. Hard to describe, it's strong, but not strong, as in bitter. The owner explained that he had his own way of brewing and was very helpful and enthusiastic when talking about his coffee. Lines can move slow, because all drinks are made to order and they don't have loads and loads of employees like the big places. I was able to figure out that it's about 3 minutes per car (if no one is out taking orders in the drive through line), good to know if you plan on stopping by before work, give yourself time. I love the feel and atmosphere of the place, and its employees, has a small town feel, like they serve their coffee because they actually love doing it - and it shows. Good coffee. Latte was your standard, tasted just like Dutch Bros. and was thick enough, definitely not third-wave quality, though. Loaded So what does ammunition have to do with coffee? I was told that years ago, before this area was popular, people came here to buy ammunition.... possibly out of a truck or street vendor. When I walked into Americano Ammunition Coffee they have a small shelf with ammunition, so they may have been one of the vendors from years back. Now they make good coffee. Figuratively I think of coffee as being my ammunition. When I wake up in the morning and need to be alert and have energy I rely on my coffee. Cool small coffee shop right next to the Cotton Gin. I actually parked and went in (plenty of parking) but they have a drive-thru as well. My husband and I stopped in to try this coffee shop and we are so glad we did! The staff was so friendly. It's pretty cool that you can buy ammo too, they had some pretty cool merch as well! They have a nice front patio area where you can sit outside and enjoy your coffee. The coffee was delicious, you can get it hot or iced . They also have some teas as well! I ordered an iced chocolate chip cookie dough with caramel latte and my husband ordered the Desert Eagle.
