I've given this location multiple chances, but unfortunately my experiences have been consistently disappointing. Most recently, I ordered an iced quad espresso with extra ice. As shown in the photos, there was barely any ice in the cup. Because of that, the drink was not even cold and actually felt warm, which completely defeats the purpose of ordering an iced drink. What's more frustrating is that this is not a one time issue. Every time I stop by, the service and overall vibe feel off, and simple requests are often missed or ignored. I understand things can get busy, but attention to detail matters, especially when customers are paying for customizations. I just want my drink made the way it was ordered. We needed a quick coffee and breakfast. I placed an order on the Starbucks app for pick up. Our order was ready when we picked it up. Service was extremely fast here which was awesome. We ordered two bacon, Gouda and egg sandwiches, potato cheddar chive bake, a grande cappuccino and a pumpkin spice latte. The sandwiches were just okay, not the best. The potato chive and cheddar bake was surprisingly good. The cappuccino was great. The pumpkin spice latte tasted really bad. I'm not sure what happened but I can't order that again, because of how bad it was. read more

Tracy is the rudest person I have ever interacted with. The worst part is she is a MANAGER. I ordered a sandwich and a cup of water. I just tried asking for a cup of water and I know the rule has changed for people who have purchased something but because I purchased a $150 gift card a half hour earlier I thought it would be okay. the barista said her name was Janae and she refused to give me a cup of water. I even pleaded as I left asking because it's 88 degrees and my dog was overheating I wanted the ice water for her. she still doubled down and refused. I know for a fact that they can still give you water if it's an emergency but because I also made a purchase they shouldn't have refused. She just did it to be mean, it was so rude and unnecessary to refuse to give me water. She said I had to have ordered the water when I bought the gift card. I'll never come to this Starbucks again .. Starbucks has been a go to on the go and stopped by for a coffee before meeting with a friend. This spot is near Trinidad and Camden Avenue. The staff are really nice and got the coffee order perfectly no complaints. I got an order of vanilla sweet nitro cold brew and I find that this location has a pretty good flavor to coffee ratio. we got there and placed an order and proceeded to wait 15 minutes for our order to come out ( one drink one sandwich both were regular menu items with no customizations) while they made mobile orders while we were waiting as the people that placed the mobile orders were not there. i would not recommend this starbucks to anyone. read more

Amazing Starbucks Location, I'm a daily regular on my commute into the city. If I had to make a complaint I would say that I was a little uncomfortable a few weeks ago when I overheard one of the baristas using a homophobic epithet and discussing something called "pegging" her boyfriend. I googled this and hey good for you but probably not the best thing to say to customers. I want to acknowledge barista Laura for an incident that occurred on Sunday afternoon (7/25). My wife and I were enjoying our drinks with another couple when it became apparent a woman sitting nearby was in distress. She had fallen and had what appeared to be minor injuries. The bigger issue seemed to be that she has some serious personal/emotional issues. Laura came out to see what was going on and she spoke with her. She showed her kindness and compassion. As the conversation progressed, it became apparent that the victims needs were well past our ability to help. Laura called 911 and EMT's showed up in just a few minutes. The took over and took her away. Showing strangers (the women in distress was not a Starbucks customer) kindness, caring and compassion should never be taken for granted. So, I'd like to post a "job well done" to Laura. Let us all remember to show kindness and compassion to a stranger who needs it. read more

Came in for the first time this morning around 10:40am ish. Looked busy but I was lucky to get in before the line. Just wanted to comment that Spencer was EFFICIENT and super kind. Greeted me as he was multi tasking and while I was waiting to place order. When done he said he could now give his undivided attention (it was genuine and I believed him and he did give me his undivided attention and proceeded to be quick, efficient, and had the best and warm personality. I am constantly saying, "I'm done with Starbucks", but today's visit to this location sealed the deal. First, the bathrooms . The condition is exactly why women want their own restrooms. There was so much urine circling the base of the toilet, I had to use seat covers on the ground, then tiptoed onto that to sit down. Then I go out to wait for my drink where the high school girl wasted so much time prepping a sample drink while talking to her vulgar friend who walked in just to chat w her. Some of the baristas have been here since my high school days! I love visiting this Starbucks after I do my dry cleaning next door or finish some grocery shopping at Safeway. PROS: - Clean interior (Use the back tables to study because it can get quite loud in the front on the sofa couches.) + nice outdoor seating - Free wifi (like every Starbux you know) + free charging pods/portals - Fast service (I always get my drink pretty quickly, and if you want to modify your drink in any way (less sugar, more ice etc.) the baristas are really accommodating.) - Staff is A+++ (and I've been to my fair share of Starbucks...) Throw out your typical undesirable opinion of corporate coffee chains, this Camden/Almaden location is one of the best Starbucks stores! Love love :) Believe it or not, besides being a boba addict *cough* I mean lover, I'm also a coffee snob teehee. When I was younger, my coffee journey started at Starbucks-- I used to work as a barista here! The staff is wonderful and they really care about their customers. I've yet to encounter a disgruntled barista but even so, they're also human. They're quick to own up to their mistakes and respond positively! The staff is also genuinely concerned about the drink quality too. They adhere strictly to the timing of crafting their drinks - i.e. espresso within seconds, pump the syrups and chocolate, steaming milk, etc. If it wasn't made perfectly, they are more than happy to do it again :) Although the location is small, few tables and couches in the front and back with some outdoor patio seating, I always enjoy their fast wifi and there's usually some free seating. Service is A+! I always tip them every time I come by. Thanks y'all! Terrible experience. There were 4 employees standing around or cleaning. One guy told the girl there was a customer. The annoyed look on her face was palpatable. She never asked my name. Most unfriendly Starbucks employee I've ever seen. The then my iced tea was ready no one ever told me. Obviously they couldn't call my name. About 8 other drinks came and went before I went to check. It was just sitting there and no one ever called it out. Then they started cranking music at an awkward level. The two people closest to me were clearly annoyed and left since they couldn't hear each other speak. Won't ever return to this Starbucks. This Starbucks is great for grabbing a drink and hanging out with a friend or two. The drinks here are significantly more expensive than other Starbucks around town for some reason, but the store itself is bigger. There are a lot of places to sit with seating available indoor and outdoors. There are also couches with give the place more comfortable and cozy feeling. They remodelled big time!! (some time in fall 2017). Looks super modern! Not sure how I feel about the new set-up...It feels as if there's less seating, but that may be because there's only like two tables at the way front, and high tables with two tall chairs along the side, and the larger 6-8 person table in the back. There's always the usual flurry of Almaden mom's and kids towards early afternoon time, but it's an alright place to do work as there's almost always seats available. read more
