I have gone through the drive through many of times, but I prefer going in. The inside is big enough and they have some outside seating. It's always clean. The staff is always friendly. Parking is available on site, but shared with the other businesses. Some of the parking spots do say that they are only for the other businesses, so keep an eye out on that. read more

Ordered a VENTI white mocha with EXTRA whipped cream...this is what my coffee looked like when I took the lid off. Mind you my Hubby's grande latte was almost to the rim. And then our red velvet & lemon cakes slices were ICE COLD, and when asked if it could be warmed just a little, we were told "we're not allowed to warm it up bc the icing will just melt off". That should honestly be the customer's decision after that information if provided. Oh, after I had already drove off I had to make a u-turn, go back to the store & return the coffee bc it was NOT a white mocha; idkwth it was but the second picture is what it looked like after the EXTRA whipped cream melted. And, the third picture is AFTER it was remade! Night & day difference! I could've complained to whoever was in charge, bc this is the SECOND store we had to go to bc the first location was out of lemon cake, but the young lady who took our order just just shy of impatient, and ppl like aren't worth the extra aggravation. Oh and FYI there was another customer who ordered one of the sandwiches that's served hot, but when the customer asked another employee to take it out of the plastic wrapping to warm it up, she too was told "we aren't allowed to remove the wrapping". It's a Starbucks. There's not much more to say. Mediocre coffee, diabetes in a cup, & other high calorie pastries. But it's ubiquitous with decent, free WiFi. I was getting around 30 MBps when I checked. I like this particular one because it has the latest hours in the city--or at least on this side of town. It closes at 1am. Not 24hrs which is a shame but good enough if you want to get out of your house for coffee & a late night writing/study session. It's location in he medical center means that a lot of med student types--mostly undergrad by the looks--come here to study, so it can get crowded. Seating is limited as it's not the biggest Starbucks. Premium seating is near the wall because of the access to outlets. There's also a long table in the middle so you can make friends. It has a drive thru if you just want coffee. I suspect it gets busy during peak hours. read more

I love this Starbucks! It's so convenient and always seems to be open whenever I need a quick shot of caffeine at any hour of the day. The drive through option is really helpful if you happen to be running short on time in the morning. The personnel here are always so sweet and seem intent on brightening your day. Even with people who have started as trainees, I've never had a negative experience or a misplaced order. I do suggest if you would like a specialty cold brew to go earlier in the morning as all locations, not just this one, seem to run out given the popularity. I will say that the baristas here are pretty generous with filling your drink - be careful with run-off and spills from the lid. I made the mistake of tilting a cup of cold brew as I usually do to reach the straw. A generous amount of run-off from the lid blessed my fresh white t-shirt. Not the best look. Located right by a Walgreens, Chipotle, and Chick-fil-a, you have a prime location for a food and caffeine run. read more

The place is always packed. The staff are always friendly. Service is always prompt. The location is good except for the parking but its a very busy area. My biggest beef with this location is the homeless guy who seems to live there everyday all day and is camped out in the only comfortable chairs in the whole place. When is Starbucks going to grow a pair and start kicking out vagrant? The guy is twitchy as hell and could snap at any minute. I'll skip this place until he's gone and go to Local Coffee. read more

Taking a quick trip here around 9:00/10:00pm is always nice as they stay open till 1am and it allows me a few hours of complete bliss to do some work *cough cough* ok more like listen to music and attempt to do work. This location is fairly large and has plenty of seating options inside or outside from bar seating to plush leather couches. Now I will admit that I am a true wi-fi digger and will flirt with an establishment by purchasing a few drinks in order to abuse and re-use their wi-fi connection. It's just how can I explain it- too good to be true. We all know those places that offer free wi-fi but once too many people log onto it, it feels like you're waiting for that infamous AOL screen connection hoping you're compatible and hear the "You've Got Mail" ding. I'm sitting here watching the creepy, probably homeless guy who has become a fixture at this particular location as he blasts obnoxious nu-metal from the tinny speakers of his 2003-era flip phone and rubs some sort of medical salve between his bare toes. My appetite has disappeared for some reason. Nobody seems to mind that he has more or less moved in and has thoroughly despoiled their nice naugahyde couch. Now he's coughing wet, hacking coughs into said couch. Why. I've just finished writing an entire term paper from beginning to end, and during this considerable span of time I did not see this guy vacate his corner for more than the two minutes it took for him to suck down another Winston and then promptly return to resume his lurking duties. But they're pretty small and far away from outlets if you wanna study with your laptop! Since it's across UTHSCSA, I'm sure they have a high population of students. I always come to this location when I have appointments in the medical center. It's busy so coffee is fresh and staff is used to working at a fast pace. The usual Starbucks menu. I love the breakfast sandwiches, not too crazy about the wrap though. sandwiches include chicken salad with bacon, egg salad,, turkey and harvarti. All great tasting. Get the Starbucks app and you'll get occasional coupons for discounted items... Got $1 off breakfast sandwich, and sometimes specials after 2pm. Also free app downloads of games, music. I ordered a grande mocha coconut frappe & after having a couple sips & leaving to go grocery shopping, I kept noticing whenever I would take a drink, my throat & mouth would hurt... badly... Then, get this, I realized me mouth was hurting because there was a broken off piece of WOODEN STIR STICK IN THERE! I was even lucky enough to receive complimentary wood splinters hidden in there! I Miss the days of 24/7 Starbucks love when it made sa feel one step closer to becoming a mini Austin. But you can't blame the staff for the business so in that regard my experience do vary from drive thru to walk in this place never seems empty long and while I don't always get a smile from my barista they hold true to service and in some cases go above & beyond. Today for instance a gentleman I assume to be manager level or somewhere in that realm gave me a free pumpkin muffin after raving it me as I stared hungrily at the offerings like a lion to lamb... No breakfast does funny things to be. When I professed a hesitation towards pumpkin "flavoured" items and offered to trust his word on its yummy level he decidedly charged me for just my expensive customized espresso drink and gifted me a taste test of an item without the regret of spending on an unknown flavor. Im glad as I wasn't as fond of it as he seems to be but I acknowledged long ago my palette to be far more snobbish than most. The cream cheese isn't all the way down so it really is best eaten in large bites from the middle so each bit has all the textures together every time. Since I dissected mine the cream cheese "muffin top" was OK but I didn't like the textured (pumpkin seeds?) on top and the overall flavor was sweet but the bottom was spiced pumpkin and with my drink it didn't sit well as I would have liked. The (manager?) Made sure to inquire about my experience and though I gave him "bad news" about our compatibility (the muffin and I, not the manager), he was still smiles and personality. Exactly who should be supervising a "upbeat" coffee house with a reputation to protect/maintain. While I wish they had more floor walkers to clean up, I honestly place the blame on the customers to lazy to throw away their trash, conveniently located on each side of the main entrance (recycle next to the patio entrance is nice but I bet they get more trash then recyclables in that container). Overall yeah my experience city's have been better but the combination of my choices and others disrespect for public areas is more to blame than the Starbucks itself. read more
