Sadly, they were out of gelato when we went. Sad times. Overall, large space for chilling and hanging. The menu was fortified on a wall as you wait in line for ease of access. The wait time was reasonable both for your items and in line.

Always amazing service & the hazelnut Bianco latte is sooo good, smooth & strong in hazelnut flavour. Perhaps on the sweeter side but I loved it. I've tried it both on ice & hot , both are great depending on your mood or the weather. Also love that the iced comes with a cup that can become reusable!

Known as the only Starbucks Reserve location near me, I always pop in when I decide to visit Shops on Don Mills. This location is always buzzing with people - sitting in and/or just lining up for carry out. The wait is never too long though. This location carries your typical Starbucks menu items but the offer so much more so use it as an opportunity to try something new, such as their reserved beans with their varying methods of brewing! It's quite the experience. Rarely do I sit in, personally. I typically pop in for their HAZELNUT BIANCO LATTE (delicious flavor notes, but a little on the sweeter side and they've told me that they are unable to adjust the sweetness levels) and the NITRO COLD BREW AFFOGATO (standing at over $10, it's a good option to use your rewards on; it's extremely smooth and the vanilla bean ice cream truly compliments the coffee). Overall, their beverages are on the more $$$ side, even for regular menu items. Baristas are friendly and highly knowledgeable as you need to be a black-apron coffee master to work here! Meaning they've dedicated their time to learning about coffee!

Seek out the coffee masters clothed in black (aprons) and they will show you the way to coffee enlightenment. I had NO IDEA the adventure that was in store for me when I took my coffee lovin' friend to the Starbucks Reserve store. The inside has such a spacious and open air feel to it with 32,000 square ft inside, glass paneled walls and an outdoor patio. We wanted to be where all the action takes place so we parked ourselves at the middle of the bar; William was our wonderful and knowledgeable guide. We ordered the House Affogato (2 shots of Microblend 21 espresso with candied citrus & dark chocolate undertones, vanilla ice cream, Demerara Syrup & cinnamon) and the coffee flight. I asked for regular water to replace the sparkling water they give as a palate cleanser. We watched in fascination as they used the following: - High-tech Clover brewer - a full immersion brewer with vacuum filtration. - Black Eagle espresso machine - the same as the one used in the World Barista Championships - Siphon method - "a theatrical display of science and coffee". I would describe it as a caffeine addicted mad scientist using his bunsen burner and beakers to make a cup of coffee. Now I'm not a purest and have NEVER drank coffee black. When I tried the first coffee of the flight all I could taste was the bitterness. I added a little bit of sugar to cut the bitterness and VIOLA! I could taste the subtle flavors of candied citrus, dark chocolate, caramel COOL! I found an interesting study by the Chemistry Department of the University of York on how sugar influences the fundamental chemistry of coffee (https://www.york.ac.uk/news-and-events/news/2015/research/tea-coffee-sugar-chemistry/). Starbucks reserve really shines with their customer service (disclaimer: do not go during rush hours, the staff will not have the time to cater to you). The baristas in black aprons (the regular staff wear green) are undergoing or have finished a rigorous coffee master's training where they learn the history and science behind coffee; are trained on the different brewing methods; and even undergo a blind taste test to identify different coffees. Their passion for coffee really shows, as they eagerly answer any and all questions. Drinks may be pricey but it's all worth it when you walk away with a new appreciation of all the work that goes behind making the perfect cup of coffee.

Heard about this special Starbucks, so I went and spent the afternoon there. I liked how it's spacious and modern. Lots of seatings with plug outlets for your gadgets. I ordered a nitro cold brew float for about $10. It came in a decent size cup. The coffee was smooth, rich and creamy with a hint of bitter. In hind sight, I should have stirred in the overly sweet ice cream to neutralize the bitter taste. I was enjoying my afternoon there and much to my delight, the servers came around periodically with samples of treats. They were friendly and courteous. What's not to like?!

The Ultimate Starbucks! I am just so happy and excited that Toronto finally gets our own Starbucks Reserve! This place is so spacious and with different seating options! And here you can get "coffee" that you cannot get from your Neighbourhood Starbucks. Best place to use your Rewards! That Nitro Cold Brew Float ($9) so rich and smooth! Drink like a milkshake. I now know what's my summer dessert drinks will be! Staff here so friendly and outgoing. They must love working here!

The one and only Starbuck Reserve in Toronto and neeeeeeed i say more, ofc i had to pay a visit. Love the decor and seating. So what makes a Starbuck Reserve so different than any other Starbucks around the block. Think of it as your bartender shaking you up a cocktail, but instead, its your barista with your coffee. They have all kinds of interesting equipment, kinda like those i used in chemistry class LOL. Ordered the nitrogen cold brew float and had to run for my next event. But I wouldve loved to stay and enjoy my coffee there. Theres quite a few items that aren't on your regular Starbucks menu. Not sure which ones are worth trying. But Ive already decide what i want to try on my next visit :p can you guess?

It was a good experience but nothing exceptionally different from the regular Starbucks. Talking about beverages and food, they definitely have a larger variety of things across the board. With food, they can be more vegan-friendly. What is marginally better is the experience with the staff which was friendlier. We have been a Starbucks fan for quite some time now and were excited at the launch of the Reserve.

In my hood...in my hood..in my hood! After all the hype I decided to come over and see. I came on a Monday morning when I was off - I figured it wouldn't be slammed like on a weekend. While still pretty busy at 10am, there were plenty of seats available. This is an elevated SB. It's got that lounge like cafe feel to it. Sleek tables, lots of chairs, you can sit at the coffee bar. You can't get very many of the regular SB items here - they carry the better quality coffees. All the baristas were super friendly and answered any questions you had. They do also carry a small selection of pastries (not sure if they carry more extensive food - sandwiches - later in the day). I don't think I'd ever venture here on a weekend - i can easily see lineups and long waits. But luckily since it's so close to me, I can pop over on one of my days off and just sit back and relax and people watch and judge what people are ordering for my morning entertainment :) Plenty of parking in the lot - however be warned that the Shops of don Mills parking lot (in front and the 4 tiered parking garage) get filled up quickly.

    Nitro cold brew float!

This is my first time having cold brew coffee. I'm not really a coffee drinker, but after reading the reviews and seeing photos of the modern yet natural interior, I decided to pay Starbucks Reserve a visit. I ordered the nitro cold brew float. Like the other yelpers have mentioned, the straw was too flimsy to poke through the opening of the sturdy lid. You have to hold the base of the straw and really force it in. The coffee came with interesting layering. At the top there was a dense foam, then coffee, then a layer of ice cream (vanilla?), then coffee again. I took several sips of the coffee before giving it a good stir. By no means am I a coffee connoisseur, but the coffee itself taste smoother than typical brewed coffee. Maybe it's because of the slowly melting ice cream? Once stirred, the drink reminded me of a milkshake, but not as rich. The slight bitterness of the coffee was no longer present but the aromatic flavour remained. What I really liked about the drink was that it wasn't super cold like a frapp, which was perfect for a gloomy, chilly fall day.

Love the reserve but it's still far from how the ones look in New York. I would love it if it had a second floor and honestly more tables for ppl to work. I had looked for a place to work but was not able to find a place with a table and have a plug. Either it was a table with to plug or it was a stool with plugs along the benches. I had ordered their affogato and it was delicious!!! Boy friend had their hazelnut latte and it was Soo good!!! I loved how reserve beverages has their own reserve cups unlike the regular!!! I felt so special with the black reserve cups!!! Can't wait to try more special drinks next time I go by!!!

Loving this new makeover for the Starbucks Reserve! Their alcohol selection hasn't been rolled out to this location yet, but should be coming out anytime soon! They have a wider selection than the average SB, with many exclusive Reserve items on the menu... The staff in here is extremely friendly and very professional, helpful and very welcoming

My new favourite Starbucks spot! The decor is amazing and I love the aesthetic of the Reserve. Got their nitro cold brew float - delicious! One tip is to make sure the icecream starts to melt and to mix it together, taste much better! This drink is their most expensive drink on the menu, after tax it comes to just over 10$!!! But it's the perfect drink on a summer day (especially if you redeem your stars a free menu item )

There aren't a lot of tables with plugs so be aware of that before coming. I got the pistachio latte which was recommended by the staff here and they were onto something! It's delicious, creamy, and nutty all in one, while also still giving me that caffeine hit. Staff here were friendly. Ambiance was beautiful. Love that they are a half cafe vibe but also serve a full menu of food and even have wine and cocktails. Parking is a bit tricky, I didn't know where to park since it was on a main road and had nowhere to turn into when you're facing the restaurant. Would love to try their other items someday. Saw that they have delicious looking and sounding sandwiches, pizzas, salads, pastas and more. Definitely check this spot out!

The interior is sleek and modern and the staff are friendly but as other reviews mentioned can be a little forgetful ... sometimes we had to remind them more than once of a drink or a small request. However the staff are very sweet and always seem to be excited about their food and drinks and love talking about anything new on their menu ... really enjoyed the croissants that comes with pistachio, chocolate, and I believe Nutella, and that they can make immediately for you if they've run out of a certain flavor. They have pastries, wine, a big coffee menu, sandwiches, and pasta. There's some street parking and if you don't mind walking across the street there's plenty of spots at Bayview Mall. They also have free underground parking but it's a bit of a guessing game to get to the first time ... if you go behind their building parallel to Sheppard is Thomas Clark Way. If you're facing north towards their building on Thomas Clark Way then the parking driveway is part of the building to the left of the church, the parking garage door is actually perpendicular to Thomas Clark Way. There's a few parking areas on that road so it's hard to find the first time but once you get it then it's really convenient especially in the winter - the restaurant is right there. Highly recommended for the great staff and casual yet elegant vibe.

Parking can be a bit busy but usually okay. The service both times has been patient and kind to explain the various options. We decided to go with a milk cake with half lotus and half Dubai chocolate. The cake is soaking in milk which gives it a "wet cake" texture. I imagine it may not be everyone's favorite texture but has decent flavor. The crunchy topping contrasts against the soft, moist cake. The lotus has that nice cookie flavor and crunch while the Dubai chocolate with pistachio offers that chocolate and nutty flavor. I prefer the latter but both are good. We also got a matcha strawberry latte to go. Both really nice to look at and to drink. The matcha has good flavor without being overly bitter while the strawberry provides that fruity sweetness to the drink. Overall, it's a pricier experience but I enjoyed it and will be back.

A recent Yelp elite event introduced me to Kanafani Sweets. I returned for its Dubai chocolate bars. Kanafani Sweets is located in a plaza on the northeast corner of Warden Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East. It's in the same plaza as the Potato Bar. I had no problem finding parking. I pulled into a parking spot in front of the store and walked in. The order pickup area was in front of me. I read the signs and the order area was a few steps deeper into the store. I had the nicest woman who cheerfully said hi. She was helpful with answering my question and offering suggestions. She showed me the qashtuta, which was milk cake. She let me know that I could either get a solid flavour, such as Biscoff, or do three different flavours, such as Biscoff, hazelnut, and Dubai chocolate. Wow! My Yelp experience consisted of having knafeh, which I absolutely love. She said that it could be made soft or crispy. I love crispy. She also let me know that I could get either pistachio or chocolate sauce on the side. I went with the former. For the drink, she shared what was popular. The iced tiramisu latte was one of them. I love tiramisu. I was down checking out an iced drink version. I got a buzzer for my order. The knafeh takes roughly ten minutes to make. I sat in a comfy chair near the order area. It was nice to relax after driving for over an hour to get here. I used the washroom. There's an individual stall for women. It was clean, cheerful, and pleasant. I used it again just before I left to run a few errands before heading home. I watched the buzzer light up. I headed to the pickup area. The nice woman had my order ready. She let me know that I got a brownie bite on the house. It was so generous! I thanked her and headed to my table to chow down. The iced tiramisu latte was exceptional. I got a lady finger that I could dip into my drink. The espresso was a good strength with the cocoa. It had milk. You can substitute the espresso for decaf, and the milk for a dairy-free or lactose-free substitute. I didn't bother. It was nicely iced and a good size to wash down everything that I ate. I loved the complimentary brownie bite. The brownie core was delicious. The crispy exterior provided a nice contrast. It was enjoyable to devour! I loved the knafeh. It already had syrup on it. I got syrup on the side, as well as pistachio sauce. I poured the pistachio sauce over the knafeh. So good! The knafeh had cheese inside. It was stretchy and hot. Over time, the cheese lost its stretchy factor as it cooled. It was yummy with the right balance of crispiness and chopped pistachios with the pistachio sauce. The syrup made the knafeh slightly sweet. The sweetness was perfect for my liking. The knafeh was excellent. I have been trying to find a decent place that makes Dubai chocolate bars. Before visiting this store, most places made their bars on their own, but they were too soft. It was as if I looked at the bar and it melted on its own out of fear. I bought a bar of Dubai chocolate Lotus to enjoy. I paid with a credit card and included a tip because staff are so helpful and friendly. This bar was excellent. The crispy filling had Lotus cookie spread in it. The milk chocolate held everything together. I was impressed. I will be back to get the regular bar next. It's such a gem of a Palestinian dessert place. I'll be back. (439)
