A great place to grab a cup of coffee. Place smells amazing upon entry. Like fresh delicious oh coffee. The only drawback for me is the lack of pastries or sweets to go along with my coffee. They have some options but very very minimal. So if you're looking for some sweets with the coffee you might be better off getting them elsewhere.

What a nice little place. The 5 stars are for the experience and atmosphere. My coffee I would give a solid 3.5 - 4 depending on my mood. I can't slam the coffee as I bought some light roast beans for home so I guess I will have to update on that as well.

This is a fancy coffee shop and they serve an excellent cup of coffee. There are a variety of coffee and tea and they are high quality. They have baked items, but I don't think they are store made.

Recently open, this is an Ethiopian coffee cafe. Interior is clean, cosy and fosters communal talking. Best of all, they're so close to the Coxwell subway and opens 7 days a week. Don't expect alot on the food table, but there's light bites and snacks. I ordered the almond butter croissant today and love that it's not so decadently sweet. Coffee, I would recommend the steep and filter and you can choose the sizes even up to a litre if you're staying and working in this cafe the whole day. Staff are friendly and hardworking. Wayyy... better coffee than Tim Hortons or Starbucks chain coffee.

This place serves up some delicious brews that are very distinctive from one another. From a dark mocha flavor to a fruity one, each variety stands out and tastes delicious. My friend and I opted for a pour over and it was so good. Literally some of the best coffee I've ever tasted. The decor is beautiful with wood adding a cozy feel to the use of cement. Lots of great seating, free wifi and large accessible bathrooms. I have them a 4 because the bathrooms were in need of a clean and should be checked more regularly.

The new Danforth location of Mofer Coffee at Coxwell was an absolute oasis during a snowstorm! As soon as you walk inside the warm glowing lights welcome you and all that natural wood and furnishings make you feel at home. It is still very new, people were still getting used to using the cash register and they did not warm up my croissant like I asked but... the coffee!!! OMG my decaf mocha latte was perfection and when I got to the bottom I swear I could taste spices of some kind. I belief this stunning beverage came from the birth place of coffee because I have never had one quite like it before, ever. Not too strong or bitter, transported me to a warmer place on the planet with its unique and fabulous flavour. There are larger tables for people getting together to either work together or separately, as well as single seats towards the back for those who want a quiet more private space. This place also had one of the nicest washrooms I have ever been to. Some lately have been downright scary so this was a welcome change and a relief. A happy addition to the neighbourhood! I can not wait to go back.

So I'm going around the area scouting the almond croissant. Glad to see I got a bit here. Its a very light version of the croissant I'd expect from. Less filling, less flakey but this is priced well. I feel a lot of places are a gouge around town and this ain't one of them. Also coffee selection looked great, will have check it out next time

Cozy and delicious. The coffee is from Ethiopia the food is from Foodbenders. I had the coconut curry quinoa it was delicious. They have non-dairy milk. They have made it very cozy with some comfortable seating as well as bamboo blinds. Will be my new fav

Unfriendly staff, ambiguous service, dirty bathrooms. Forgettable coffee. Expected more from signs and claim to be birth of coffee.

Great shop! We are coffee snobs and only drink the best Ethiopian beans, and that's all they have. Excellent coffee!

Great coffee, great cold brew. In case you like decaf coffee, they also have decaf Americanos.

They had a DJ spinning 80s tunes and the energy on their patio was just great. Previously we had thought that this place was just a little Italian coffee shop but it's much more and I'm so glad that we checked it out. The food porn on their IG account: drool inducing. The food menu consists of killer panino sandwiches (the meatball is probably my fave but then the chicken cutlet is damn good too) , fun nibble boards with fresh cheeses, charcuterie, house cured olives, house made hot peppers, fried zucchinni and the list goes on.... They do pasta on certain nights too. Hands down the best hot Italian sandwiches in the city and if you are into wine, they have a curated selection of Italian wines that has me heading over just to pick up a bottle to go (OK, I might have to also take an eggplant parm too). My wife and I have become addicted to this place and try and hit it up at least once a week (typically on Fridays after work) If you live in the Danforth & Greenwood area, you have to check them out.

I opted to stop by Oliver Coffee Bar on a hot Wed afternoon, needed some iced coffee to cool down. Upon entering the space, the seasonal drink board had some interesting options, however, I decided to get an iced Americano. My coffee was made at a reasonable time and it tasted good. I decided to chill on the patio for a few minutes enjoying my beverage before I was on my way. Service was friendly, the place wasn't busy at all considering it's about a 7-10 min walk from Pape subway station. Overall, a good coffee shop in the East York area - something to try if you're in the area!

The service was friendly and quick, though I'd have liked a bit more personalization. The coffee itself was solid--well brewed, with rich flavors--but nothing that stood out as truly exceptional. It's a good spot for a caffeine fix, but there's definitely room for more creativity and charm.

I stopped by in a recent visit to Toronto when it made more sense to wait for my wife than to drive back and forth from our hotel in Mississauga amidst... hey did you know that (unscientific as this may be) traffic may actually be worst on weekends than during the week? Reason is that, while many folks commute using public transit, car owners drive to their destinations on weekends. This is a small, sun-shiny kind of space, with Wifi. The front part, especially, is a good place to bask in the rays. They seem to offer a few food choices for breakfast and lunch, but since I was just looking for a place to hang out for 90 minutes, I was going to be "minimal patron". I thought about another coffee, but decided against it, since I already had double the caffeine I usually consume before noon, I opted for the "cheapest" choice, in the form of a Perrier. Cha-ching and "ouch" and $3.74 later (OK it's CAD, but still), I'm left wondering whether I could have made a better choice: as in, a cookie and that bottle of water I had with me?
