Plenty of places to sit and a hip, modern vibe.

Lost Coffee needs to be discovered by more espresso fans! This cute little stand in the Chef's Hall in downtown Toronto serves up some mighty fine coffee. I was staying around the corner at the Hilton and set off on foot in search of coffee that didn't come from the Tim Horton's locations that seem to be on every block of the city. I was intrigued by the Chef's Hall sign, and stopped in. The first business inside the door is Lost Coffee. With a gorgeous espresso machine and no line, I was sold. I ordered a cappuccino and the friendly barista got to work. She took her time crafting my beverage, which I appreciated. She even took the time to make pretty milk art. It's the little things that really add up to a lovely experience at a coffee bar. The menu had some hot teas and other coffee beverages, also a few savory and bakery items (the cookies didn't look very appealing, or I would've purchased one). There are plenty of seating areas in the Chef's Hall, which is a communal food court type of place. It's open and hip and has a trendy vibe. I was covering TIFF and I used the downtime to sip my cappuccino and organize my film notes. Nobody rushed me and I could have hung out all day. My espresso was piping hot and delicious. It was thick, creamy, and rich with the perfect ratio of coffee to milk. My only pet peeve is that my coffee was served in a paper cup, although I was enjoying it to stay. It still tasted good, but I do prefer the formality of having expensive espresso in proper ceramic serveware. I ended up loving Lost Coffee so much that I returned several times during my stay in Toronto. My only regret is that I didn't discover this place sooner. Check it out for some quality, gourmet, artisan coffee.

This coffee spot is pretty rad. I found it on Yelp while in town on business and loved that it just so happened to be connected to a foodhall. Three coworkers and I met up for coffee and to get some work done and then ended up staying for lunch and a little while after. The space is huge, filled with a variety of seating options, a coffee bar in the middle and an entryway to the food hall. Along with coffee they had an assortment of pastries and I opted for a classic croissant to accompany my iced oat milk latte. We had no problem with the wi-fi, the service was lovely, and the coffee hit the spot. Based on the few reviews so far, I'd say this is still a relatively hidden gem in Toronto. I would totally go back and pro-tip, stay for food at the hall.

Flat white and a croissant, delicious!

Was in Toronto for a meeting and in search of a good coffee spot. No offense to Tim Horton's or Starbucks but I did say "good coffee". Service was awesome and the coffee was better than good. I have struggled finding great coffee in Toronto so this is a definite a plus for my next visit!

Picked up an Americano Misto that I ordered through Ritual. They're right at the entrance of Chef's Hall on Richmond. Fresh coffee, followed instructions and was ready really quickly. The barista was friendly too.

Walking inside, the warm cosy lighting and long barista/display counter immediately caught our eye. While it was relatively busy, it was also fairly quiet - perfect for those who wanted a quieter space as well as those looking for soft, casual conversation. We were sucked in by the delectable looking strawberry roll cake in the display counter for an early dessert! The cake was light, fluffy, and not overly sweet, balanced with just the right amount of strawberry & whipped cream filling. We also shared a hot, unsweetened matcha latte. The bitterness of the matcha, creaminess of the frothed milk & whipped cream, and sweetness of the cake were a perfect culinary match :) Would definitely come back for another visit!

I know that the ube trend is taking over but PLEASE before you advertise your product as such, DO YOUR RESEARCH and make sure that you are actually serving the thing. I'm Filipino and not only did I feel so offended by how this tasted, I also felt like I should be refunded. First of, the ube mixture was RED. I don't know where you're getting your ube mixture from but ube is PURPLE. The powder was chunky and did not at all taste like ube. Please, I get it we all want to make money from whats popular but take time to educate yourself. I'm very disappointed and would no longer be advertising Neo to my friends & family

Seating is solid, but noise can be hit or miss depending on the time of day. Coffee is good but a bit inconsistent. I usually go for cortados, and while I've had some really good ones here, other times the milk-to-espresso ratio feels off. The flat white, on the other hand, was excellent. Still need to try the pour-over. Service is always good too! Food is solid. Chocolate chip banana muffin was great, turkey sandwich was okay. The atmosphere is fantastic; it's vibrant, cozy, and just a great place to be. The only thing you need to know is that this café is popular for a reason. It's often busy, so you might not always find a table to sit and work at. But honestly, the quality of the coffee and the great vibe make the occasional standing-room-only situation completely worth it. Just grab your perfect drink and enjoy!
