ordered on the mobile app and selected 'pick up in store' when I arrived at my estimated pickup time I was greeted with handwritten signs saying that the inside was closed and all orders needed to be picked up theough the drive through, the lone was 30 cars deep and not moving. There should of been information on the app that inside pick-up was not available, I would have gone somewhere else. this establishment is always having issues and half the time can't even be open their scheduled hours. I will be seeking a refund for drinks I was not able to receive. Thank god there is a Dutch Bros opening down the street from this starbucks. read more

Those employees are getting slammed. Please call corporate and complain. Just an example: they have three bars in that location. One for drive through one for mobile orders and one for in the lounge. Corporate closed one bar and took away employees. Then they told the crew they are taking that bar away when they remodel. So one person makes ALL drive through orders at one bar and one person makes all the mobile AND the lounge drinks. They say corporate won't let them hire more employees because drive through does not make enough. And drive through can't make enough because they don't have enough employees. Then you have several customers that customize their drinks so much that the receipt for one drink is longer than a Costco receipt and other customers have no patience patience to let the employees make the drink the way it's customized. These employees are yelled at constantly by customers and customers have even gotten in fist fights because one customer is off the chart upset and another customer steps up to stick up for the employees. The committed workers with good work ethic have to put up with constant call ins and no shows. And do their best to help and please all their customers. Please please show these employees, that are doing all they can to work under terrible situations to make sure customers have their drinks as fast as possible, some kindness. Simple words of encouragement helps them tremendously. Might as well close this location. read more

We ordered a cold brew with light foam and no ice and a white mocha hot. The cold had light foam but was full of ice so we sent it back to be corrected and the lady was rude because it was wrong. They claimed they were out of venti cups and put it in a different cup but had mostly foam and no coffee. My white mocha was awful it tasted like burnt coffee. Hands down the worse coffee trip of you want coffee I would go somewhere else or a different location. read more

The service is incredibly slow even at night when the employees are standing g in the back office talking even when they know there is a customer they resume and finish the conversation. That's not the reason I am writing this review though. On April 1st 2024 around 3:50pm me and my wife got to witness the manager of this location firing a young lady in a packed lobby. This is very unprofessional and makes you wonder how many other employees were embarrassed by her and had to deal with the same type of situation. The unacceptable behavior of this manager is the reason a lot of employees do not care about their jobs and end up leaving. This manager needs to be looked into and re trained or replaced and that employee needs to be re hired or compensated for her embarrassment. read more

Yelp says this store is open until 9:30 on Thursday night. Apple Maps says this store is open until 9:30 on Thursday night. So, we went through the drive thru just before 9pm on Thursday night. The ordering kiosk said sorry we are closed so we proceeded to the window and the 7 or so people still in there stared at us and eventually opened the window. I let them know that online and on all the apps it says they are open until 9:30. He told me they need to leave the building by 9:30 so they close at 9. This Starbucks is one of the only ones that isn't too busy, I love this place. Has a drive thru and a large indoor seating area, not like some of the other ones where you have to stand. The staff are nice and welcoming, too! read more

While visiting a friend at his Pop Warner car wash fundrasier this past Saturday, I noticed this Starbucks from across the street. Dying in the 90+ degree heat, I just knew a Venti Iced Americano would quench my thirst so, I headed the short distance to grab a coffee. In the home stretch of the front door, I couldn't help but notice the 6 car line at the drive-thru waiting patiently to grab a cup. I captured a picture of the line just prior to entering Starbucks. The question I have goes out to all you "I gotta go though the drive-thru even though there's a line a mile long" types. The question is WHY?? I understand the drive-thru if, it's after hours and the only thing open is the drive-thru but, that wasn't the case today. I even read post of someone complaining about waiting in the drive-thru. News flash folks - There's no line or waiting if your park your car and walk inside. Breath Tony....... Once I got inside, I pulled my phone out to do my part as a Yelp Elite and check into the business. Just as my phone reached my palm, I noticed the WiFi bars come to life. Letting me know I had a solid internet connection. It was also just about this time that I noticed the line inside Starbucks. Well, actually I noticed the lack of line to be more specific. Did I mention to you all that there was a 6 car line at the drive-thru outside waiting for coffee? Okay, I thought maybe I missed that. After ordering my tasty beverage(s), I did some looking around of the place. I don't think I've ever visited a Starbucks laid out quite like this one is. It actually has two entrances. One entrance delivers you into the lounge area (see picture) and the other, into the area where you can look at and purchase Starbucks item like their coffee cups. Also inside this door are the his and her restrooms. Overall a very nice Starbucks store with a friendly staff. My only wish is that they had a play list for the music being played in house. Some of the best and rarest R&B Old School I've heard in a long time. So rare even my Sound Hound App couldn't capture all of it. read more

If there's one thing I got to give them credit for, it's being consistent. Consistent in getting my in-person order MESSED UP EVERY SINGLE TIME I go in. Yesterday I went in to order and took 30 minutes to finally get my drink. So, 20 minutes after ordering, I still have not gotten my single soy chai latter order. Nothing else, just a venti soy chai, boringly unelaborated hot drink to make. Shouldn't be hard to bang out, right? Wrong! I can understand that they're busy but every single time I come in they mess up my single order? I must attract a cloud of bad luck every time I set foot on their doorstep. Mind you I took a few months break from coming in to this location because the last time, I got really disgusted and put off, waited close to 40 minutes to get my drink on that visit. But even then at least the the couple of baristas I dealt with knew what service recovery meant and dealt with the issue by making my drink immediately so I could be on my way. Back to yesterday's experience...so after 20 minutes of listening to orders that are not mine, I finally went up to the barista who said that she didn't see my ticket and that it takes some time for the computer to spit out the tickets. I asked does it take 20 minutes? I even went back to the cashier who took my order and spoke to the barista about it and all the barista did was shrug her shoulders and said "I don't know" and "I called out your name". If she did, I wouldn't be complaining and would have been long gone. So after a few more minutes of her making other peoples drinks, ignoring the fact that I have been there now about 25 minutes, she decides to approach the girl heating up the pastries to "look for my order" in the computer. Stood there for another 5 minutes, she saw me and continued to heat up pastries. By this time, I was really annoyed so I asked her how much longer before I can get my drink while others after me have been taken care of. That's when she decided to look in the computer for my order and proceeded to make my drink, didn't even tell me she was making it. She just made it and called out my name to see if I was paying attention. My drink didn't even have a name so I didn't know which drink was which, on that dirty drink counter they have. Had to catch her attention to find out which. I've always personally gone to the managers to give positive feedback and praise the few baristas who really do hard work and provide good customer service. This time I'll be going in to give them a negative one. Really, to shrug off and say "I don't know" and proceed to make other peoples drink and leave me standing there to wait even longer without any resolution to my issue is totally messed up. read more

At 10:30 the drive thru was packed and slow. The employee working the drive thru was slow and I had to ask for stir sticks/stoppers for the 2 drinks. That was odd, but not too bad. What was bad you ask? Having to ask for my change. I handed her my cash and was expecting almost an entire dollar in change. She took my money and said "Thank you. Have a nice day." My response, after starting at her for a few seconds... "May I have my change?" Confused look from her.... "Uhm... yeah. Uhm... how much was it again?" I don't know if you expected the change as a tip or just had a brain fart, but seriously... GIVE ME MY CHANGE. This is honestly the worst Starbucks I have ever been in; unfortunately, it is the closest to my home. It seems like every time I go there, it is at least a 20 minute wait for your order, and the drinks always taste watered down. I thought ordering ahead would be the way to go. Nope. They were 30 minutes behind on mobile orders. For goodness sake! If you can't handle the order volume then close down the mobile ordering. Also, there is a lack of training. The staff on the evening shift has no idea what the difference between a pumpkin spice frappucino and a pumpkin spice cream are; I've had the issue in the morning too. This is the only store that messes that up almost every time unless I specifically tell them. I'll try the store at Smith's next week. I'm done with this one. read more

This Starbucks location is so busy (especially in the mornings) as it is the only North Valleys location. It is conveniently located right next to a freeway exit and has a drive thru. Going through the drive thru is definitely quicker than going inside. I usually mobile order ahead, though. And this nearly always works for me. But when the sticker machine was broken or my drink was wrong, the employees at this location always made things right. read more

This drive thru is a nuisance to the entire shopping center. Sometimes they close the lobby for unknown reasons and the line will wind down two aisles and block people who are parked. One time the lobby was closed but they were still accepting mobile orders and made people wait in the drive thru for their order. Drinks are inconsistent and the availability of the items on the mobile app are incorrect so I can't order ahead. read more

I don't feel like this Starbucks lives up to the standards of every other Starbucks I've been too. The employees seem to enjoy being there about as much as I enjoy the coffee stain on my shirt. They can't seem to figure out how to put a lid on without having coffee all over the top or they are just to lazy to wipe it down before they toss it out the window and into your car. Another common occurrence is at the point of sale when hot food items are ordered. The patron's name is not asked and when the order comes, a weak callout is made with only the name of the food and consequently not heard in restaurant over the often loud music and sometimes the sound level of the staff having a good time at work... I love seeing happy employees so perhaps this is a fair trade-off. However, a half warm breakfast sandwich tastes like hell. Often, they do not have in stock breakfast items like the heated sandwiches. Who does the ordering and for that matter, is there a manager even present seeing to these and the following glaring indiscretions? As for the condition of the restaurant, I'd have to say it's a bit dirty and unattended. The window exteriors appear to not have been cleaned since the remodel, the window interiors are not far behind. The tables don't get wiped on a regular basis through the morning as well as the floor swept and debris remaining throughout the morning, it doesn't appear that it's mopped nightly either. The supply station is often out of items as I have observed often on my numerous visits at 6 am, the condition of the floors as described herein, unswept and still showing the signs of the previous business day. I did ask about this once and was told "Oh, we got hammered this morning". Again, 6 am and I look around seeing that I was one of three people in the place and but two cars in line outside and the staff partying it up... Really? As said, there are good people working there that take a personal pride in the job they do but all that goes out the door given the aforementioned issues. A manager that isn't busy behind the counter preparing orders to oversee that the place is taken care of would be a start. A good hard cleaning of the entire restaurant, inside and out including the filthy paved areas outside and the furniture is more than overdue. I suggest steam cleaning and sterilization. Every time I go to this Starbucks, they get my order wrong. I only keep going because this is the only one near me. Today I ordered a sweetened hazelnut iced coffee with almond milk. It was not sweetened at all. Thankfully, I went home with it and was able to make my own syrup for it. read more

I am in this Starbucks almost every week day so I can take a few hours to work outside the house. It gets busy, but the staff handles it well. My drinks are always good and most often on time. Staff is very friendly. Based on the massive amount of negative reviews, something must have changed in the last 2-3 months because my daily experience and observations don't line up with what I've read on here. read more

As far as a Starbucks goes, it's like any other. This location I've been to more times than the 2 check-ins I have. I've never had a problem here. My drinks have always been made correctly. The staff is friendly enough to make this a location able to be returned to, which is nice because it's the closest to where I live. The drive through is usually more packed than if you park your car and walk inside, which I've done on several occasions. I'm not going to write a review based on the Starbucks products, because I don't know anyone who hasn't tried them for themselves. So I will just review this location. If it were just Starbucks coffee: Fast, Fresh, In my mouth immediately I would give it 5 stars because I love that stuff. So these guys get 5 stars. I only go through the drive thru, but that's all I need. They are fast. I once waited ten minutes, and they gave my sister and me our coffee for free because of the wait. Even with 5+ cars in front of me I have never waited that long again. They are convenient if you live in the North Valleys because you don't have a lot of other options. This is why I think these guys are always packed when I go there. But honestly, I feel their speed is appropriate to the amount of people they are serving and they can't really do anything about that. In fact, having less customers tends to be worse for your business so I guess I can't push for that! Also they serve Starbucks coffee... go here if that's what you want :) read more

This is by far one of the worst Starbucks in Reno. The Baristas are slow AF. Placed a mobile order hoping I wouldn't have to wait AS LONG when I arrived. Boy was I wrong. Got there and still waited 20 minutes. After 10 minutes I checked on my order with one of the baristas and it had "just come out" Proceeded to wait another 10 minuets and my drink was made wrong. Atmosphere - A clean small location and divided in a weird manner so it feels even smaller. Food The wife and I went with just a cup of frou-frou. I had a Caramel Macchiato. It was really good, a nice treat. Service - No line inside, while they had 8 cars in the drive thru. Very fast service, I watched my Caramel Macchiato get drizzled with a ton of caramel, mmmmm so good. When we left there was a line, and there were still 8 cars in the drive thru.
