First time here about a week ago and what a great way to end a big pizza binge in the same building. There are many kinds of frozen yogurt to choose from. I went with the classic of chocolate and vanilla swirled together. Then you load up with toppings or go minimalist and don't. Pricing is paid by weight and volume and it's reasonably priced all the same. Need an easy gift for someone? They have gift cards too! The service was easy and friendly and helpful S well. It seems like you can find a Yogurt Beach in every other suburban strip mall in the Reno area, but this location not only offered amazing frozen yogurt and a full toppings bar, it was also connected to the Longboards pizza parlour, just to go off the same beachy theme! But I came for the froyo, and I was amazed.. the cookies n' cream was delicious, but I especially liked the peach flavor too, which was surprisingly thick, creamy, yet refreshing! The toppings bar was definitely a cut above too--you'll find your typical fruit, nuts, and crushed cookies/candies, but I also got the brownie bites, which were delectably chewy and chocalatey! Long Board Pizza their business partner is attached and we visit them frequently. Atmosphere - Simple, to the point type of place. They have a bunch of machines that allow you serve yourself. Tiki and surf board themed to go with their name. The blue glass around the machines popped with color. The biggest issue is there seating area is really shared with Long Board Pizza and they are always packed. Food Treat - Frozen yogurt with ten choices, by the blue tiles and another 2 by the cashier. Clearly they rotate their flavors as I had a very seasonable pumpkin. I was not a big fan of that one. But I really enjoyed their Mountain Blackberry and Salted Caramel. First time here after soooo long!!! We visited Animal Ark and so decided to have lunch next door and dessert here. I can't remember if they used to have different size cups before, but this time it is only one size. I got kona coffee and blackberry side by side with some toppings. My boyfriend got vanilla and kona coffee. He liked the vanilla but not a fan of kona coffee. I would have to say I felt the same as the coffee flavor was subtle for me. My guys and I love Yogurt Beach. In fact, I'd say it's easily our favorite place to stop when we're on a mission for a treat. The wide variety of both yogurt flavors and toppings makes it easy for every to find just the right combination to please their sweet tooth. So it's probably easy to figure out that we were thrilled to see one coming to the North Valleys. We've visited all of the Yogurt Beach locations at least once over the years and have found them to all to be quite consistent in delivering what we've come to expect from the business. Happily, I can say after a few visits to what will from now on be considered "our Yogurt Beach" that the bar continues to be set high. Staff is very friendly and quick to offer samples, as well as the basic run-down to newbies. The place is spotless...spills and drips of toppings are cleaned up so quickly you might think you imagined them. Items are consistently well-stocked and fresh. For me, there is one tiny "not quite 5 stars" issue with this location, and that is seating. They are sharing space with the new Longboards Pizza. Within the Yogurt Beach section, there is just one table. It's bar - height which I personally can't do thanks to a back injury. But more than that, every time we've visited its already been full anyway. I suspect the idea is that folks can grab a table in the pizza side. This has worked fine when we've made a mid-afternoon treat stop, but around meal times we've found it difficult to get a spot over there. They do have an incredible patio that helps solve the issue in nice weather. Overall, that certainly not going to deter us, though. We love this business as a whole and are glad to have them so much closer to home. read more

I've been here plenty of times after having Longboards pizza and I usually have an overall pleasant experiences and some good froyo but tonight 11/2 at about 8pm, there was a late 19 or early 20's female with long brown hair and in a colorful pink shirt and she had the worst attitude I've ever encountered. There was a heavily pregnant lady who was holding her overtired child and poor thing was happy just looking forward to fulfilling her craving. She patiently waited for what I think was a shake and this worker did it while having her 'I hate everyone' kind of face. My hubby and I waited patiently for her to finish making her 1 pink drink as we talked to each other and the girl said she'd be with us so yeah that's okay. She finished making the drink and was struggling to put the lid on her cup. She looked frustrated and gave up. Something fell on the floor (probably the lid) She came to ring us up even though we could've waited for her to finish the pregnant lady's order. She rung us up after only telling us the price. Very short. The pregnant lady now with her son getting cranky asked if it was ready. Reached over for it and asked for a lid. The worker just looked at her with a 'deal with it' type of face and the pregnant lady now defeated with one hand still had her child and grabbed her drink saying never mind. She walked away and I'm mad. She didn't deserve that treatment just because this worker was frustrated. It's not like we were rushing her and not like she had a rush. It was just the pregnant lady with her child and her one drink and my hubby and I with our baby. If it weren't for her, I would've given this place 5 stars. read more

Went to Longboard Pizza and since this was conveniently connected, decided to have dessert. Super friendly and helpful staff, and the place was very clean. We got the custard frozen yogurt. It was rich and creamy! I didn't try all the other flavors, but there were about 10 more. It's kind of pricey so be careful with your toppings. The one thing I wanted was whip cream which they don't have. They weigh your icecream at the end. My only concern is I think they don't account for the cup the icecream is in, I grabbed a bigger cup to be less messy. We already love this new Yogurt Beach location! We have been waiting for it to open for awhile. It's directly on our way home from church. We will likely come here often even though there is another great location quite close to our house (but not completely in our path many times). This location definitely got the beach decor done right. It is also intertwined with another Reno original restaurant that will open in the next week or two at the latest. They share the same manager, etc. It is called Longboards Beach Fired Pizza. From the description I got today, it seems like it will be similar to My Pie, which my family loves, but now we will have a restaurant of this type MUCH closer to home.... and literally on our way home from church. It's kind of like a Subway but with pizzas! When Longboards opens soon, you can have your made to order pizza and finish off with amazing frozen yogurt. You can keep your same table for both sides and there is even outside seating! I also love that they are keeping with the Yogurt Beach tradition of marking their frozen goodies with gluten free signs. read more

There is only one table unless you go on the pizza parlor side, but we got some weird looks doing that. And the parking spots are super narrow; we actually saw a family waiting for the truck next to them to leave so they could go and both vehicles were centered in their spot. The other day I went to grab yogurt and in accident, I grabbed the wrong flavor. I didn't take much at all of the yogurt like just about a sample size of it, so I told the employee that if I may grab a new cup or simply throw the small piece of yogurt I dispensed and rudely the employee told me that I have to pay for it because was my mistake. I said no I'm not paying for something that I don't want so she called for the manager and the manager also made me pay something that I didn't want. I did not mind needing to pay for it, but it was the disrespect I felt and the attitude the employees and the manager gave that made me feel uneasy and some sort of discomfort. I've been once thus far. It's layout is typical of other self serve FroYo places across the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. The cashier was courteous and parking ample. I opted for the sole dairy-free flavor, Valencia Orange Sorbet. It proved to be a wise choice. Topped with Marshmallow Creme sauce it took on a fabulous Cremesicle taste. So delish! Went to Yogurt Beech this afternoon about 115 pm and asked for two frozen quart size mixed chocolate and vanilla custard. What I actually received was one quart Chocolate and one quart Vanilla. After I noticed that it was one of each, I was actually upset as this order was for two individuals that can't just go get their yogurt. I tried to mix the two quarts and after all said and done, not only did they screw up my order but I only received one and half quarts of yogurt. Extremely disappointed as I have been there every week for this order and to top it off, the young lady was very rude and disrespectful when I called regarding this situation!
