Although I love the friendly team members at Smith's the last 2 times I have gone shopping they have had absolutely ZERO shopping carts available once you enter the store, not sure if they just don't have the staff to go retrieve them from the parking lot corrals but it definitely makes shopping difficult when you have to go wander back outside just to find a shopping cart to use, if it wasn't for the rewards points I would definitely just get back in my car and go to one of the other stores in the valleys. Now as far as their products the produce is always great and the deli counter always has fresh food. The clerks are very friendly. They just need to work on having the shopping carts available for the customers upon entering the store. read more

The produce was semi-fresh--let's just say some veggies were living their best life, and others looked ready for retirement. A few things were out of stock, but the store itself was clean and buzzing with activity. Checkout was quick (bonus points there!), and the cashier was friendly enough to ask if I found everything okay--which I genuinely appreciated. But... the real adventure started when I got home. So I had a pretty horrible experience, but as you can see, I gave them five stars for the way they handled it! As of late, I've been using the shop for me button on the app. I've been pretty happy with the service, I put everything into the cart, pick a time to retrieve my groceries and when I arrive, they bring them out to the car and the service is free if I spend a certain amount. This is my sixth time using this service and I was extremely happy. Today, I ordered about $50 worth of groceries and picked a pick up time at 5 PM. I arrived at 5:35 PM and use the app to notify them. I was there. Came out and told us that they were having an issue and running. It would be another 30 to 45 minutes.... At rush hour, I did not want to go home so I decided to wait. at 6 PM my son went in and complained. Manager explained that they had a new system that was difficult to use and apologized. She gave a $15 store gift card for our inconvenience. About 6:20 PM the order came out to the car and we went home. I saw in the shopping bags was actually pretty abysmal. Most of the vegetables were horrible quality or even damaged. You can look at the pictures. I immediately got in the car and brought the food back to Smith's. the manager acknowledged that quite a few items were poor quality. The roast was probably 50% fat, the squash was obviously frozen, thawed, refrozen as it was squishy and bruised. The manager let me pick out some replacement items, and the produce department was obviously waiting for a new shipment as not only were shelves half empty, but the vegetables on the shelves were really poor quality. The manager popped up with another $15 gift card, and said that I would have to go online to request a refund. The items I could replace, she put in a bag and told me not to worry about. I went through the app and requested a refund for seven items and there was absolutely no issue whatsoever. The automated system even credited five dollars to my account for the inconvenience. I've been shopping at Smith for over 20 years, and they've always had amazing customer service and pretty much no questions Asked refund policy. There's a reason this is my grocery store. Not as well staffed as some of the other grocery stores, but the prices are absolutely meant for people on a budget. Also, it's nice to have a rapport with your baker, butcher, and management. While driving around, exploring Reno, we saw a Smith's and had no idea what it was and decided to take a look. It was lunchtime and we started looking at food in the deli. All we saw was big deli trays and big party sandwiches. A young woman asked if she could help us and we asked if they had individual sandwiches. She said they make them in advance and put them out on the shelf, and we didn't see any. She asked us what kind of sandwiches we were interested in and we said turkey sandwiches. She said, if you like I'll put a couple together for you. She made us two delicious sandwiches and gave us mustard and mayonnaise packets. She really went above and beyond and the sandwiches were only $3.99 each! I wish we had a Smiths back home; they are very customer service oriented. read more

I am in your store several times a week and multiple times a day as an Instacart shopper. The pedestrian crosswalk is ignored by people driving in your parking lot and I've almost been hit many times while crossing to go into your store and also while going out of your store to my car. Many people drive a lot faster than they should in a parking lot. Please do something about this! I've also witnessed other people almost getting hit by cars. I will not be back to your store until something is done. Maybe you could put flashing lights around the stop signs, although the stop signs are very visible. I have also needed meat sliced at the deli before 7 am and I have been told to come back after 7 am. The store opens at 6 am 7 days a week. This is also a huge problem as Instacart orders start at 6 am and many customers have deli meat listed on their order. Do the clicklist employees also have to wait until after 7 am to get their deli meat for customers that put in online orders??? It seems like this would also be a huge issue especially since the store does open at 6 am. read more

The only complaint was that most of the lettuce was bad! We got great help from the employees! And Lakelyin was very helpful as a cashier and helpful! The store looks great! Today a Smith's on South Meadows, at 1:30 pm, I verbally attacked by one of the Store Managers. Here is the narrative; The Cashier neglected to take both my card and digital coupon. When I asked her to fix it she said that I would have to go to Customer Service and ran off before I could ask her any questions. I took my receipt to customer service and after waiting a good ten minutes while the rep was gossiping to a coworker and visibly mouthing the words "I don't care several times" finally came over to help me. I explained that I have been over charged. She said that the store only owed me $3.50 and again I explained that amount doesn't cover the digital coupons. Her manager came over and I explained the situation and the inconvenience I am experiencing. Again he said that the store only owed me $3.50. And again I stated that amount does not cover the digital coupons. He went on an attack mode, leaned into my face, and said "how am I supposed to know which items have the coupons, there are thousands and they change every day. I stated that it is his store and he would have to figure out which items they were. As a side note, I am a seventy year old woman and certainly not a threat to the tall younger man. He then leaned into my face again and said to me, "If you don't like it here then don't come back, we don't want you." Because I have been a local customer there for more years than I could count, and have spent tens of thousands of dollars there, I was stunned and in order to get him out of my face and to back off, I do admit to standing my ground. This young man then picked up my stuff and threw it at me and said, "I am not going to help you, get out ". I was completely startled because I have never been treated like that. Again, I stood there and explained how they had overcharged me, and that I was actually due a $10.50 return. By this time a good twenty minutes of my time was taken and there was a long line behind me. Finally the clerk refunded all fifteen of my items and rang them up again and did finally give me my $10.50 back. All of this for a lousy ten bucks. I do hope in the readers adventures in life do not include the experience I had at Smiths on South Meadows. I do hope the upper management reviews the security camera. read more

I go to the Lemmon Valley Smiths almost daily. They have great digital coupon deals and they just recently remodeled. There is a Starbucks inside now! This Smiths use to have the best deals, but the prices have slightly gone up after the remodel. It is very clean and modern looking now, but that is definitely reflected in the prices. I still shop here for most of my grocery needs since they are still cheaper than Raleys and have decent meat and produce. They are still a good one stop shop! I like to get the 2 piece chicken meal deal from the hot bar. You get to choose from fried breasts, thighs, drumsticks, or chicken tenders. You also get your choice of 2 non protein sides. The meal was $4.99 a year ago, and now it is $7. Still a good deal especially with all of the different sides you get to choose from. read more

I thought it was a pretty good shopping experience. It may have helped that it was 9am on a Monday morning, but it was well stocked and people were mindful and polite of the social distancing requests. Once, an employee even got on the PA and reminded everyone of the social distancing expectations including leaving and entering the correct doors. I was able to find almost everything on my list. The store employees I spoke with were pleasant. The store was organized and clean. When compared to other Smith's locations in Nevada, this location is middle of the road. The aisles are clean and well stocked, there is available help from team members as needed, and the checkout lines are generally speedy. Their curbside pickup is also usually very quick and convenient. Three complaints: 1. The staff acts as though they would rather be doing anything else than being there 2. There tend to be a lot of differences in inventory that the app states is available and what is actually present 3. Their red meat selection and variety is mediocre. Other than these three things, it's really a decent store. As far as the staff, I frankly understand their behavior but it would be appreciated if they pretended to be a little happier to help at least haha. I tend to do curbside pick up a lot. This store is very convenient for that and their process of ordering through the app is very easy. They also tend not to be busy so they get your order to you fast! read more

I love coming here because they have an awesome manager and Suzzy the cashier who helped me out today is just so awesomely efficient and customer skills oriented. She greets you, and smiles at you best of all she very good at her cashier skills, fast and efficient like few in the world of cashiering. She don't make you waste your time when ringing up your items and I love that. We need more Susie's in the jobs!!! Significantly over-charged for tomatoes. My husband checked out at the self-service register. He chose the wrong kind of tomatoes: teardrop tomatoes, rather than romas. Teardrop tomatoes are $5.29 EACH for a total of $47.61! He almost didn't catch the overcharge. Smith's quickly refunded the difference. So kudos to Smith's customer service. Smith's used to be one of my favorite places to shop. If I go by employees, it's still one of my favorite places, but it is disturbing that they are pushing certain ethnicities out of the multicultural aisle and increasing room for other ethnicities. I think everybody deserves the same amount of space, and they've taken out things that Were really great fines that we couldn't find anywhere else! I'd heard that the Asian food has become more and more scarce, but I hadn't seen it until today. They literally cut it in half, then jammed a bunch of stuff up on top where nobody can get to it, as if they're trying to hide it. They had something that I could only find there, vegetarian meat that didn't taste like vegetarian meat, and it was actually the right texture as well, but it's now gone. It was a great snack, I'm not a vegetarian, but I really liked it! It's the only place we could find it, and now we can no longer get it. There are some noodle bowls that we typically buy, and they aren't there anymore either. we found some great deals today, I like that they at least mark down their stuff when it's getting close to the sell by date, but they didn't even have a whole lot of ground bee, except for the really fatty, or the really lean, and neither works for what I need it for, I need it somewhere in between, and there was none. We ended up having to order it from Walmart. Smith's used to be where we could find whatever we needed, and they were rarely out, but that isn't the case anymore. read more

Smith's is my go to grocery store and their 24/7 service is convient when I need anything at any time day or night. I always shop their sales and feel like their prices are reasonable. They don't have as many specialty ingredients like Raley's, but they have a good selection of the things they do have. I absolutely love their sushi bar. It's always fresh, delicious and affordable. They also have a good selection of specialty cheeses. When I am making a cheese board Smith's has a nice amount of choices for it. Their produce is usually good quality and seems to last longer than produce from Sprouts. Even when they are busy, they have plenty of checkers open to get in amd out in a timely manner. read more

Closest grocery store to my daughter's apartment at North Peak. She usually goes to Walmart for the savings, but we went here to pickup a few specific items. Good variety, with a bakery, deli, meat area and more. We were looking for flavored cream cheese and they had plenty. Most people seem to be afraid of self-check so there was no line there. The self check outs are not large enough and 90% of the time I get errors that require someone to walk over. No open lanes but self check out. What a great market with a poorly conceived community. Yeah, I know, it's complicated and so is North Valleys. Let me start with the things beyond their control, which are also negatives. Parking here blows, but just getting into the parking lot blows; traveling across the parking lot blows, and getting from the parking lot into the store, well it blows! Oh they have a gas station too, in the parking lot, it blows! Don't get me wrong, I'm not overly negative, but getting in the store is definitely the worst part of the experience. The fueling island is convenient but poorly situated and I think all of it comes down to a market built early in what soon became urban sprawl. Enough about that and let's get to the cool. This really is a great market! The olive bar (if you didn't already know; huge fan) is amazing with a generous offering, the cheese deli is equally very accommodating. They sport a bakery and a generous deli with fried deliciousness and other comfort foods, salads, and your usual health food doctor tells you to avoid, but it's yummy so you nosh anyway. The seafood department is merely a corner, but as accommodating as the cheesy island or olive bar. Enough to satisfy most generic fish appetites, not necessarily adequate for the connoisseur; still clean, well kept, and adequate for a Friday during Lent. Booze is adequately represented, but doesn't seem to be their central focus. Sales seem to be infrequent and the selection is fledgling; meaning, items seem frequently missing and some are omnievernissing, such as magnums, etc. We have the meats! And they do too; their meat department offers some great sales. I've seen not just good sales, but great sales that were BOGO deals on top of sales. They bring it! Sales are omnipresent! Stroll through the deli or past dairy and there is constantly product marked down; it may be from the olive bar, the deli, a salad, a creamer, or yogurt, but it's always there. There are some items they don't carry that I miss, but overall, I truly enjoy my shopping experience here (shopping, not parking). There are detractors, but it's little the stores control and largely clientele. I enjoy smiths and they have good values. But was very disappointed about the enormous amount of people that were not wearing masks and that smiths was not enforcing it. A week prior, I lost a healthy 33 year old friend who woke up vomiting blood and then died. He had had Covid very recently and was not fully healed. I was getting soup for my daughter who has been sick for a week from Covid as well as her entire family. She hadn't eaten for a couple days. She is a stay at home mom and has no idea where she contracted Covid. Until smiths can follow indoor guidelines, I won't be going to the store read more
