Some of the best churros in town and worth the price! We happened to stumble upon their food truck while getting gas at Costco and so glad we did. They've got a variety of churros, we went with the classic bag of churros. The staff was friendly and they made the order pretty quickly. The churros were fried to perfection with an amazing crisp on outside and warm doughyness on the inside. It was seasoned deliciously (not too sweet yet still very flavorful) and we finished the bag in a matter of minutes! Can't wait to try their other churros, definitely check out this place.

If ever I'm craving some churros, I know I can always count on this place. I love how their menu has some classic churros to churros with all sorts of toppings! I can usually find them at a local event/food truck event or their normal spot in Sun Valley. During the winter -- they serve champurrado. Think of a thicker and richer version of hot chocolate. Everyone makes their version a little different and I like how this place isn't too sweet. The service is always friendly and sometimes it can take a minute for the food to be ready-- but it's because they make everything fresh on the spot! Try them out next time you are craving some sweets!

Discovered this churros truck at Food Truck Friday and couldn't be happier that they choose to set up shop here on a regular. I went with a Churro Shake and an order of Churros bites. The shake totally tastes like a drinkable Churro and they give you a Churro straw, which is my favorite part. Also I love Carmel sauce at the bottom of the cup when you get to the end. This is my favorite Churros spot because I have yet to find any other Churro with this light airy crisp yet soft texture. Usually I find churros to be made with a heavier like dough, but not at Churros Huesos! They've mastered the cook and the cinnamon sugar mixture is the perfect blend.

#7 - Churros with Ice Cream

Tried this at Food Truck Friday. Smelled so good, I had to investigate. Huge variety of choices! I had the #7-churros and ice cream. I opted for vanilla ice cream. So much food! So delicious! Ice cream alive was amazing but using the churros as a spoon was the best idea. The syrups (caramel & chocolate) complimented the flavor. Sitting in a rock in the park with a cool breeze and enjoying the treat was wonderful. My partner had the plantains. So good too. Took me back to our many trips to San Juan, PR and the fried plantain desserts. Highly highly recommend both items!

This was our first time trying this food truck up here in sun valley area, and man were we missing out! I didn't expect it to be as busy as it did, but having the beeper was such a convenience as you have to wait in your car, anyways, We ordered two items from the menu, churro bites and the frozen macho. These were so amazing!!!! Absolutely delicious. The first bite instantly we were like mind blown by how delicious the deserts were. 10/10. Totally would go again.... And again...and AGAIN y'all.

    Not fully cooked churro.

Joining cultures to make delicious bites is an understatement and one that I would say challenges norms in a way we can all approve of. Food collabs are a must these days! Havana (burrito) 4.5/5 -When I heard Cubano I said let there be food!! When you walk into this experience you're met with the traditional flavors of what you'd expect, but it takes a turn to funky town as you're met with beans. You're met with pickles and what tastes like nutty cheese (yes it's in the description) and it actually tastes nutty!!! The plantain chips scared me as I'm allergic to tree nuts but it gave me a neutralizing flavor that added a texture bite and wasn't expecting! The flavors were well executed and every bite was almost different in nature. Meaty, savory, sweet, pickled, there was so much to unravel with not enough bites! I'm glad to have tried this and only giving it a 4.5 as I would have appreciated just a little more cheese on this, but I can ask next time! If you're not a cheese person. This is a 5/5 my friend! Places like this get me excited about the food culture in Northern Nevada and I'm glad I stopped by to see what all the hype was about! I'm exited to try some additional flavors as this was only 1 of many times I'll be visiting.

If I was the owner I would be proud to have her as my employee. Now on to the food. It's next to canes so it's hard to not compare the tenders and bread. Canes has better bread but that's it. This place has good tenders, hot dogs and burgers. They also have shakes and some other items. I have tried most items on the menu and the only thing I didn't care for was the toast. Everything else has been delicious and fresh tasting. The quality of burger is so much better the a lot I have tried.

I glanced at yelp to see what the rating was and it was high so we ordered. It's somewhat my fault, I should have gone through the reviews on yelp which are mostly positive because of the ice cream- not the food. Hot dogs - Costco beef hot dogs in soggy bun. Go directly to Costco and get it for $1.50 instead. Grilled cheese- I realize we ordered takeout but this is the soggiest grilled cheese I've ever eaten. The cheese was rubber and the bread was like wet cardboard. Hamburgers- the patties were mid. Hard to tell if they were Costco beef patties but they probably were. They were also soggy and smothered in a watery copy of McD Big Mac sauce. Fries- ordered crispy and got frozen fries from a bag that were super soggy. Chili cheese fries- same as the fries above but added canned chili and canned cheese. Onion rings- previously frozen maybe Oneida onion rings from a bag. Cheaper to buy and make yourself. Corn dog- my daughter liked it but she likes the corn dogs that come in the freezer section at Safeway which this is exactly like. To sum it up- if you're getting any food, I'd go elsewhere. I'm sure the ice cream is good though given the other reviews. Maybe in person the French fries wouldn't be so soggy they disintegrate in your hands. The food was gross and overpriced for being what it was - resold frozen food items and Costco hot dogs. I thought this was like old school drive in diner food but it's not. Super disappointed as I ended up not eating any of it because it was just gross. Again, partially my fault for not reading the reviews on yelp and not just see a good rating and assume the food would be ok.

The service was friendly and their timing was accurate (it was just about 10 minutes for 2 taco plates that each included 3 tacos each with rice and beans). Price was reasonable too. It was $15 for the taco plate (3 tacos, rice, beans) and that included a can of soda. Beans were very soft and certainly made with delicious lard. Rice was soft and fluffy and light in flavor (but in a good way-- it balanced the plate really well). Red salsa was like a mild/medium and was more hot than the green salsa (the green salsa had a mild heat). We tried the avocado salsa too; I could see that being amazing on a quesadilla. The avocado salsa also has some mild heat to it. The taco truck itself is fine but the area doesn't have the best ambiance (we saw a number of people out on foot at night in the nearby parking lots looking like they were possibly on drugs-- and this was when it was under 30 degrees out with some residual snow and ice on the ground from the recent storm). Nevertheless, the "ambiance" won't deter us from returning again-- and I must say as someone who previously lived in So Cal THESE were the kind of carne asada tacos my taste buds have been searching for in Reno.

Now it's closer to $16--and we're sharing fries and a drink That said, the quality is still fantastic for fast food, and honestly, the price is still pretty reasonable. The staff really know what they're doing too. They've got a system to keep things moving, but let's be real, it's still usually a 20-30 minute wait in the drive-thru when it's busy. I always wonder... would it be faster to go inside? Honestly, I don't think so! Whether you're inside or outside, it's worth the wait the moment you take that first bite of a freshly made burger or those hand-cut fries. And don't forget the milkshakes-lthey're so good!
